Amazing little hotel on the beach with a great restaurant and great staff. It felt quite private with only 9 rooms. 15 seconds walk from the room to the beach and to the restaurant (it's not Mexican food though but perfect if you need a bit of a break from tacos). Breakfast is included (one dish per person is for free, which was more than enough for us). Perfect for if you just want to relax for a few days and not move around a lot. There's also a mini market right across in case you need extra snacks or things and three places where you can rent a bike. Collectivo van goes through the area so you can avoid taking a taxi to the centre (but it might be difficult to get the collectivo from the centre back to the hotel as the last stop is not so easy to figure out). It seems the hotel's been around for 30 years so it's a good choice if you want to avoid potential tourist traps. There was no noise from parties or construction, just wind and waves, which was very pleasant.

Cute little hotel centrally located, easy access to town, public beaches and main hotel zone. Bike rentals just down the street and the food at the restaurant is amazing! And the staff- The friendliest, and Nayelu with reception was very responsive when communicating ahead of our arrival. Room #8 had amazing ocean view with loungers right on the private deck.

Our room was right on the beach and listening to the waves was wonderful. Bed was comfortable. The restaurant had a great, varied breakfast menu...all delicious and right on the beach. Restaurant seemed to be always open, they had amazing guac. The staff especially Martin and Yaneli (I don't think I am remembering her name correctly?), both were so helpful. My wife became a little sick and Martin had the chef make her chicken soup. Very thoughtful! The housekeeper, Margarita, was so responsive and helpful with our needs (clean towels, etc). How exciting to see the tracks of huge turtles who came up and laid their eggs on the beach (some guests actually saw them!). The beach is comfortable with palapas and chairs, always available. Small hotel, so no crowds.

The owners need to spend some time on maintenance. Our toilet stopped working twice and the roof leaked twice. Staff immediately helped with repairs. The beach really isn't swimmable, but to be fair Tulum doesn't have many beaches that were. This hotel, in my opinion is over priced a bit because of the maintenance issues and older furniture.

Stayed here with a friend for New Year's and we loved it. Cute little beach alcove that feels private, has a simple but great breakfast menu, and has easy direct access to fun restaurants and shops right on the hotel zone. The staff was extremely helpful whenever we had questions and gave us multiple drink vouchers for our stay. Would absolutely recommend staying here if you're looking to get away and enjoy what Tulum has to offer!

Was definitely due to the NYE partying, but we did find a used syringe on the beach the next morning by the hammocks. An extra cleaning would make it perfect.

The whole hotel was a dream! We woke up to a view of the ocean, spent our day lounging on the private beach and enjoyed some very tasty food in the restaurant. The whole hotel is only 8 rooms which was perfect for us and there are enough sun loungers for all the rooms. Breakfast was also great and the staff provided us a box lunch when we had an early start and missed the breakfast service.

Unfortunately the hotel has less dreamy neighbours that played loud music each night until late. The official end time is apparently midnight but on two of our nights this was until 5/2am. We found we were still able to sleep without issue but it took a shine off our stay.

The property was amazing, the rooms cute and clean. The hotel is right by the beach. The staff: Eusebio, Martin and Frank very helpful and attentive. The food is delicious!

The fact that was impossible to swim in the beach due to sargasso and the unsafe conditions of the water. Also for breakfast, the portions of the food were very small! If you wanted more fresh juice that was extra, more eggs same thing. There is not oatmeal on the menu or green tea,it was a little disappointing, but the hotel in general is super charming!

the location, comfortable parking, restaurant terrace, beach. Breakfast is a la carte but with plenty of choice, both continenatal and local. Matresses are comfortable. Bathroom is decent.

Espresso is to be paid extra for, it is bad, and even not available the last day. The beach which is de facto private was covered with tons of some kind of sea grass and therefore not usable at all. The hotel organized cleaning only after several days. the double beds were queensize, not the most comfortable for two adults.

Piedra Escondida is a small, intimate hotel located directly on the beach. We were comfortable there and spent a great few days. Loved being able to walk right out onto the beach. The room was good sized, clean and not overly fancy. The location is great, not in the main hotel zone, but close to shops and restaurants. Free parking is right across the street. The restaurant was great, the breakfast was wonderful!

The beach is in a little cove, and a lot of seaweed washes in and sticks around. The hotel staff was actively removing it every day, but it was windy and seemed more vegetation arrived every day. It made swimming less appealing, but there are other beaches along the coast not far away to swim.

Our two-night stay here was simply wonderful. The staff, especially Martin and the chef, were incredibly attentive, friendly, and helpful, making us feel right at home. The breakfast was a highlight, with delicious options that set a great tone for the day. The hotel is well-maintained, clean, and comfortable, offering a peaceful retreat. Its location, just a short drive from town with a shared private beach, provided convenience without sacrificing tranquility. Waking up to the ocean view from our room was a treat. Surrounded by nearby restaurants and shops, the hotel felt connected yet secluded enough for a relaxing stay. We had such a lovely time here and would gladly return in the future.

The room was right in front of the ocean. Staff were excellent and always available. Breakfast was delicious with a nice selection. This location had active turtle activity (laying eggs on beach). There was always enough beach chairs and palapas.

For the price, the owner needs to spend more money on maintenance. The toilet stopped up twice and the roof leaked in several places. The beach unfortunately is not good swimming.
