A small but very nice hotel, the beds are very comfortable, the rooms are extremely comfortable. Beautiful beach bar.

1. The staff was divided, some were very kind, some half-kind, if you don't leave a big tip when paying in a restaurant or on the beach, they get offended, which I think is very ugly. 2. Too much grass on the beach, a 5-star hotel shouldn't allow that, since we saw that other hotels of that rank clean it daily, for that reason I wouldn't come again. 3. If you plan to dress fancy to go to the city or some restaurant, plan to have your feet full of sand, because there are no paths you can walk on ( A much bigger problem for women who like to wear heels) 4. Taxi drivers charge 25US for a 2km ride, do not take a taxi.

Just wow. The rooms are spectacular. Every corner has been designed with high attention to detail. From the lights control, to the double shower, the outdoor “in room” swimming pool, the daily dessert they bring in the evening. Every morning and night they write in the sand “good morning” or “sweet dreams”. Someone even comes to the beach to offer to clean the sunglasses. Staff are so welcoming and helpful. It is located on a part of the beach which is not the busiest so it feels like you are alone in a private long paradise beach. Very peaceful and relaxing. One of the best hotels I have been to.

Nothing at all.

Excellent, friendly and helpful staff handling all issues and special requests quickly and effectively. Very good food and excellent cocktails. Lovely views and I loved the personal pool! Large rooms, double sinks and double showers were great! (Clear glass showers mean suitable mainly for couples.) Very well appointed room with all you need, yoga mat, fridge, safe, beach towels etc. Very comfortable beds. Air conditioning works great. The walkways are all outdoors with sand, but the hotel provides water foot baths to wash feet in front of the rooms. Close to ruins and other sites.

Drink prices were really expensive, but might be the trend in Tulum. We arrived during a particularly bad season of seaweed, making the beach unusable -- not the hotel's fault! -- but it was an easy drive to a nearby beach club that had a cleaner beach. Highly recommend a vehicle since the area isn't very walkable (no sidewalks and only limited businesses nearby). I guess a lot of people like the sand everywhere due to the beach vibe it gives, but I would have personally preferred wooden walkways.

the location was idyllic if you are looking for chill

The staff wanted to be tipped for everything - even a bottle of water this became annoying and if you didn't the staff would serve the ones who did.

We stayed at Tago for 5 days and had an amazing experience. The hotel is super clean, beautifully designed, and has a calm, relaxing atmosphere. The food was delicious, the drinks were great, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The service at the beach, restaurant, and valet was excellent, and our room was spotless every day. Highly recommend this hotel if you're visiting Tulum.

Luxury rooms with ocean view and private pool. The double shower in the bathroom was particularly spacious.

Location may not be the closest to the city centre, unless you have your own means of transport (we rented bikes from their sister hotel for the day). Unfortunately, the seaweeds accumulating day after day on the beach did not make the seaside experience the most enjoyable (but not the hotel's fault, I guess). Air conditioning a bit too noisy for my liking (there's only the 'turbo fan' or the 'off' mode, no in between...)

The staff are all wonderful and accommodating. The rooms are fabulous - huge and luxurious. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The toiletries and amenities are top notch. I loved the little pool by the terrace. The sound system in the room was unexpectedly good - a great touch. Also loved crossing the little jungle to get to the beach, which is literally steps away from the room. All around a brilliant experience that I hope to repeat someday. Shoutout to Oscar for taking such great care of us on the beach!

A bit pricy, but ABSOLUTELY worth it.

Location was fantastic! Right on the beach and secluded from the hustle and bustle of the main beach road. We loved the food at the property and how we received a welcome cocktail when checking in. The staff was great but not great at address issues we ran into while staying here. We also like the fresh fruit, free drinking water and coffee available in the room.

The AC unit was extremely loud which made it hard to hear the waves from the sea while sleeping. We asked for assistance in fixing this or turning off the A/C and no one address the issue so we had to deal with it. Also our lockbox didn't work so we couldn't leave valuables behind. We requested a late check-out but were denied and it turns out the bellman didn't take our luggage out of our room for an hour past checkout which means we could've had access to the room longer. Lastly, when we requested transportation to the airport from Tago they ordered us a taxi which was 30 minutes late and didn't offer any other options. When we arrived to the airport, the taxi charged us $100 USD!!!!! It cost us $50 USD from the airport to the resort.

We liked our stay at Tago a lot. The room was very spacious, especially the open bathroom. I can't remember ever having had such a comfortable bed before. Between the bed and the beach there was only our private pool, which was usually a bit chilly for Demcember. The beach with beachclub near Tago is particularly nice. We would definitely consider to come back.

As we were very happy this is not really a big deal: as drinks and food are not made at the beach bar the service was quite slow but charming and friendly.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tago Tulum and were very impressed with both the location and the spacious, and modern rooms. The beach was cleaned every morning so we had no issues with algae and the staff was always attentive and ready to assist.

Two minor things that could be improved. First, the cleaning service was only done around 5pm every day which was quite late and disrupted our schedule. Second, we also enjoy to drink tea in the mornings and evenings and there was no kettle available in the room.
