The location is superb. This is a no frills option and was perfect for me to rest my head during my festival week. The staff were so friendly to meet me after a long and late travel day. I even made a new neighbour friend who was doing the same as me, resting in between festivaling. Note: connect to WiFi immediately and add Tony to Whatsapp. It's how you'll communicate throughout (more towels, advice on what to do, for emergencies like saving your new neighbour friend who got locked in his room, etc). The bathroom was clean, water always warm, and the smaller room size meant that I slept in an A/C heaven on the comfy bed. The hammock outside my door step was a nice touch, too. Plus it felt safe.

As with beach road, rolling blackouts are a thing. It may mean your plan to charge your phone or connect to WiFi is delayed, but pop to the GoMart 2 mins away and grab a snack and wait it out. Usually kicks back in within the hour. Also, it's going to be louder here no matter how you slice it. Earlier morning traffic. Later night club music. If you're a light sleeper, you may struggle. A full length mirror, even if it was in a common area, would be a nice touch. And finally, I'd say it's not for the squeamish. I did find a finger-long upside down cockroach one morning on the floor. Scooped it into the bin and realized she wasn't exactly dead. Yelped and threw her outside. We're in the jungle. It happens. Plus, the sliding doors aren't tightly sealed.

The property was excellent location. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. I’ve stayed another shipping containers, and this one was definitely the most renovated, and the bed was definitely more comfortable than others.

It is definitely very noisy as there are many holes in the shipping container that allow noise but this is hard to avoid and it’s just to be expected when staying in a shipping container. The only other advice I could offer is sometimes the shower floods because the drain doesn’t drain water quick enough and additional outlets could be provided as well as an additional mirror.

The location is right opposite a stunning beach. You have to buy drinks at the place to stay for long, but you can chill there and it’s beautiful. The place was lovely, near a main road so there is a little traffic noice but it becomes quiet later and I had a great nights sleep! Great air con, very hot shower, all very good and staff are brilliant and you can see the pride they take in the place. Highly recommended!

Cute design and comfy rooms in the containers on the beach road. Everything on Tulum Beach is quite pricey so I wouldn't say this place is good value for money per se but it is a great 'budget' option if staying on the beach. Bed was comfy, hot shower, good aircon and wifi as well as filtered water available for guests.

As some others have mentioned it can get quite loud in the area but that is not the properties fault but due to the location. Host could have been a bit more helpful with advice on where to get coffee (GoMart right next door was never recommended to me instead he mentioned a coffee shop 1km away) and it would be nice if they struck a better deal for beach club access.

The accommodation is centrally located in Zona Hotelieara (the hotel zone) with numerous bars and restaurants in the area. The hotel is only a 10min taxi ride so super easy access from Tulum Town. It doesn’t have it’s own swimming pool, but the hotel across the street (Coco Unlimited) gives access to the pool and the beach for a minimum spend in their restaurant, and they offer a discount for the Pal Mar guests. The room was spacious and I had air conditioning, a very comfy bed mattress and super good WiFi, as well as hot shower. Beach towels are also provided, which I think it’s a nice and very useful touch! Deco is cute, with locally sourced pieces, giving the place an air of authenticity. The housekeeper cleaned my room daily, changed the bins and refreshed the toilet paper etc. Although there is no safe box in the room, I felt comfortable leaving my work phone, money and my passport in the room for the duration of my stay. Sergio, the General Director was super helpful and friendly and gave me a lot of information about the area and things to do etc. He is very professional and kind and very reliable.

excellent location in the middle of Tulums hotel zone, note it isn’t actually on the beach it’s just on the other side of the beach road you can walk to the back in literally one minute, very good price for the location and surprisingly smart. the rooms are in metal containers but are designed smart and modern inside with aircon included. I’d happily return. parking also available. also decent wifi which is a rarity in Tulum.

Really cool aesthetic throughout! Very cozy, comfortable room. AC was great and bug spray etc all available. Amazing location, all the bars and restaurants on the strip are walking distance..like 20mins and under for the majority. Access to beach via coco was great too.

Door key was a bit fiddly sometimes so had to keep trying to open the lock. Lighting in the room is not bright so not ideal for those doing make up. A full length mirror would have been appreciated too.

Really nice, and different, place to stay. All worth it. Even though it’s containers, they were way more comfortable and had more and better facilities than other places we’ve been for the same price. It’s pretty, actually quiet and ‘picture perfect’ 😉

When it rained it was so cosy and nice, but there came water in through the door. I believe that’s fixable ☺️

For the outrageous prices in Tulum I thought this was a good price for what you got. Comfortable and clean.

The room is super airy, clean, the beads are really comfortable, well air conditioned. For the price and beach location - I couldn’t ask for more. The beach is right across Coco Limited and it’s ine of the most beautiful and well kept parts of the beach. You can also get breakfast there, unless you want to walk around to near places.

It would be good to have a point of contact or more of an ‘Entrance’ to the area but the staff was nice and helpful when they were there.
