Room was great with private porch. Included sunbeds with palapas for shade. Walk barefoot from the room to the beach. Common sitting area that you could use in the evening. They would lend you a cooler to keep drinks cold, if you ask at the office. Breakfast was included. Close to a GoMart, liquor store and Deli for snacks. Sunrises were amazing. You could walk for km's on the beach. Very good value for money, compared to the other resorts sharing the same beach.

Breakfast was great, but would be nice, if there were two different options, or at least a hard boiled egg added for protein. Yogurt and fruit 5 days in a row, can get repetitive. We had a pair of Oakleys taken from the table at our beach chairs. Local vendors are allowed to cut through the property. We offered a couple of younger kids (10-15) water and snacks at the end of the day, as they looked exhausted. When they left, the glasses were gone. Be careful with your stuff, live and learn. Shame it happened...

I loved how close the private beach is. It's really great they provide beach chairs for free. The free continental breakfast is simple but a perfect start to the morning when you don't want to leave your private beach. Also like the quiet and relaxed vibe. No AC here, but the fan was more than enough for my January vacation. And I actually used the blanket for a couple nights. There are mosquito screens in the windows, but a couple still get through, so bring mosquito repellent. No dj or partying here, just the sound of the ocean. Loved the rustic "eco" aesthetic.

It would have been amazing if they had a bar in the hotel, but there's a bar a few feet away in the hotel next door. If you are looking for s polished designer hotel, this isn't for you. The hotel feels like a real old school rustic beachy vibes—I loved it.

Cute little cabanas. We stayed at the ones with partial sea view which was great. Really relaxed atmosphere compared to all the beach clubs next door. Direct access to the beach with sun beds. Breakfast is really good. For the price it is really great to be in Tulum but still be a bit more laid back. Parking is available, and they have a gate they close at night and sometimes even during the day.

Unfortunately no Moskito net over the bed. Due to the cabana style it is really hard to get everything closed off with the Moskitonets they have at the windows.

Loved the location and real beach life feel. The 4 outdoor cats were so friendly and cute.

We stayed in the room "Sol" which had an awesome thatched roof. Unfortunately due to the gap in the roof and other gaps in the structure, we did encounter pests including cockroaches and mosquitos. However, this was all part of the experience. Just something to keep in mind when booking a hotel right on the beach. The room could also use a table and chairs for playing games at night etc.

Chan Cabañita is a hidden, somewhat raw gem. In the midst of the uncontrolled heavy commercialization wave that has hit Tulum, Chan Cabañita retains the natural, peaceful simplicity Tulum was once known for. The location right on the beautiful white powder sand beach is perfect. The 11 “huts” are simple but charming. There is free drinking water, sun beds and a decent breakfast. A supermarket 2 minutes walk away sells beer at normal Mexican prices (as opposed to the beach bar next door, where you pay 9$ for a bottle). See if you can book the beautiful beachfront “La Bonita” cabaña.

Some parts could certainly do with a little more loving care, maintenance and renovation to bring the place to perfection.

It’s the perfect distance from downtown. You don’t hear any partying. There’s no bars within a block. The courtyard is so relaxing. The staff are so friendly. Martin the manager works so hard to accommodate all your needs. The breakfast was absolutely Devine. We never needed to get another breakfast. Coffee was fantastic!

The staff are nice, especially the breakfast folks. The location right on the beach is amazing. They have beach chairs for guests so you don't have to pay crazy prices at beach clubs nearby.

The beds are quite hard and it was difficult to get comfortable. The wifi is non-existent which was frustrating. The staff said it was because of a storm, but the storm only lasted one night of the three we were there. The wifi never worked, and other guests I spoke to had the same experience.

Amazing place in jungle on the beach. Perfect location, close to restaurants and clubs, very clean, quiet. The best massage. Nearby is the supermarket. I appreciate Octavio a lot for his kind assistance in any request I had. He is the best. The owner Moni is also very nice and friendly. I felt like at home.

EXCELLENT location and amazing experience. best part of tulum beach in my opinion from travelling many times to tulum over the years. We were pleased to have our luggage cared for and stored while we enjoyed the beach early before check in. The front desk worker offered to give us two beach towels and we had a wonderful first part of our day enjoying the beach in front of this cabaña. Great beach chairs for lounging and it felt like we had our own private beach. The room was large and spacious. very large and comfortable bed. The maids were so lovely and paid special attention to detail. We had moved the mirror above the sink that was too high for me (in short) so I could see a full body… and you are surprised, the next day after having our room cleaned a full body mirror was added to our room in the living room in addition to replacing the mirror in the bathroom! be mindful the fan has operation hours and works from about 6PM to 9am. the lack of AC was no issue for us, the fan was huge and worked very well. The breakfast was great, delicious yoghurt with oatmeal on top, toast and a large selection of fruit. I had asked for coffee early one morning and one of the lovely maids brought a full pot to our cabaña with two mugs.. they were so sweet. we loved stepping into the sand from our porch walking to the beach just steps away. It felt like home!! we didn’t want to leave… be sure to catch a sunset in the morning about 7 am. please buy cat food for the resident cat family, they are SO sweet. they slept on our porch and we got lots of food from the Go Mart about a 8 min walk away.

Only minor issue was noise from guests upstairs one morning. this was only due to then being up early walking around and making quite a bit of noise. next time we will book an upper suite cabaña.

Absolutely best place we stayed at in Mexico. We had a seaview cabin and enjoyed the great view. The staff is super friendly, different from other places in Tulum. You can enjoy the sunbeds, bring your own drinks and food. We were afraid of the possible noise from the next door beachclub, but that was not loud and stopped at 8 PM so no noise at night. There’s only a fan no AC but with the sea breeze we did not experience this as an issue.

I think they can improve their foto’s, since I do think this place deserves a better online impression since for us it was better than expected.
