Room is little cottage.. Loved it.love the bench coffee table and small chair hammock just outside the room. The included breakfast was very good. loved the pasta dinner and lobster too on dinner menu. the beach was a rough due to winds..when not windy one could go in. the outcrop of rock on side was nice place to climb into in evening.I also liked the pool. That I used it every morning.

one guy decides to practice his DJ skills .Set up his gear on his balcony outside his room.happliy that didn't last to long. I cottage nest to me left there outside light on at night since they were not there..so that' was not so nice to have bright light shining onto my area. next day they're not there so lights were off

Room quality, beach proximity, decent location, staff!!

Rocks in water, food was not great. Music on the beach terrace needs improvement/speaker was skipping. Ocean front view porch could use a cushion on the bench and a small step to the door to make it easier to get inside.

The location is excellent, the staff is very friendly, the restaurant is great, and the beach is beautiful! I also really enjoyed the wildlife that lived in the area 😊

The ONLY things that I wish had been different are the following: a larger pool and lounge area, and a larger beach area because I love vast expanses of beach to walk on and I forgot that a lot of beach is not like that in Mexico. The beach is gorgeous, it’s just bookended by rocks which limits your walking.

The bed was comfortable and the room was by the pool, so the immediate setting was quite nice. Great place to see the sunrise. The pool was clean and refreshing.

Overall we did not like this area of Tulum....very crowded, noisy, lots of traffic. The beach was very small and had about 2 feet of seaweed on it, making it undesirable and nearly impossible to swim. The toilet did not fill and men had to come 3 times to fix it. Parking is expensive and across the street. Some staff were rude and this pace was very expensive for what it is.

We loved being able to walk out of our room into the sea breeze to access shaded beach beds. The option to hop in the small pool was also nice to cool off without getting as sandy. We really liked the location - it was possible to walk to Tulum Beach area or bike to the public beaches off the road to the Tulum ruins and there were several bars/restaurants right by the hotel (not needing any transportation was great). The staff for the hotel and connected restaurant were all very nice and spoke enough English to help if we had questions. The free breakfast was simple but good and served fresh. In the room, we appreciated the AC unit, fresh drinking water, and mosquito net (we didn’t end up seeing any mosquitoes in our room but it was nice peace of mind).

No real complaints! The mattress was a little firm. We were in basic Garden room and birds woke us up around 6am (due to a small screened window in the bathroom that couldn’t be closed) but this was remedied with earplugs. I’m sure the property was much quieter than those near the Tulum Beach clubs!

Great location situated close to bars and restaurants. On a small, calm and cozy beach. The partial sea view king room we had was very cozy as well. The breakfast was satisfying but other than that it’s a great restaurant with very good homemade pasta.

The only thing that could have made the facilities perfect would be to remove the unused old bikes and deckchairs lying around.

Oceanfront. The hotel provides hammocks, recliners with umbrellas and comfortable mattresses and pillows on the beach under shade. Great place to read while listening to the ocean waves and feel the ocean breeze. Good food and a refreshing pool. It is rustic and not fancy, but very comfortable with a relaxing atmosphere and everything you need for enjoyment. The staff is wonderful, and most speak English. I loved my stay, and I look forward to returning.

The atmosphere and energy of the place are incredible and absolutely unforgettable. Everything is stylish, very picturesque and relaxing. I would call it a cozy village by the Atlantic Ocean with lovely houses and fences surrounding each of them and thus creating some privacy – just like with a true village. Very tranquil and peaceful, greenery and wildlife (raccoons) all around. A separate thank you to the kitchen of the place – for serving amazing breakfasts and dishes during the day. We were so in love with the dinners that we decided not to try any other places in the area so as not to get disappointed.

Unfortunately, this property has set its own currency exchange rate (USD to MXN), which is extremely far from the official one. This literally means they will charge you 10% more than you actually expected if you pay in pesos. This was our first impression at the check-in, which immediately spoilt the overall vibe. And yes, we've been to other hotels in the area that also charge in dollars, and their conversion to pesos was always adequate. So that's why we consider the way Punta Piedra charges in pesos unfair and somewhat illegal.

Virtually everything. The property (and a few others) are situated in a cove. I was in room 1, which I think was the best possible choice. I was just a few feet above the sand and beach beds. The room itself was large and I loved the vintage beach aesthetic. The bed was very cozy and every morning before dawn I opened the drapes and as dawn would break, I had the most wonderful view from the bed of the ocean. I can sometimes be critical of properties choices of linens. Not here. They were soft and comfy. Everyday they made up the room and it was just so fresh.

Mind you this was like a fantasy, the beach, the room, the location, so I don’t exactly think there was anything negative, except, I’d love to have all of that for less than $300 per night.

It had A/C all day! This was hard to find for beachfront hotels in Tulum that were within my budget. Even though the beach was a bit more rugged I loved it!

There was some miscommunication about what was included in the continental breakfast. I stayed in the room that backed onto the bar area and it was a bit loud at times. But given I booked 2 days before I arrived I expected to not have the best room in the place
