We were very lucky to find Dar Tasnime, which is a family owned and run Riad. Charkib, the owner is very attentive, friendly and always helpful. Our triple room was very clean and cosy with a large bathroom and toilet. The rooftop terrace was a bonus, as we played cards of an evening up there! This traditional Riad is built around a internal squared balcony and central tiled mosaic floor. It has retained all of its charming original features and warmth. A large continental breakfast was provided with a local twist of Moroccan pancakes (Beghrir) or French crepes. Dar Tasnime is situated only 1 minute walk away from one of the historic walled getaways (Bab El Ksour) leading into the medina, and only 5 minutes walk down the road to Djemaa-El-Fna (main square) and the towering Koutoubia Mosque. I highly recommend this Riad to anyone staying in Marrakesh and extremely good value for money! Charkib can also arrange a taxi, who will be waiting to collect you from the airport, taking you straight to the door!

I would highly recommend this accommodation for your stay in Marrakech. The location was ideal as it was accessible by car meaning we were dropped right to the door (as opposed to 1 street away where you have to walk and carry your own luggage inside the tight lanes). The market area was only a 5 minute walk. The owner Chakib was very friendly and helpful. He arranged our taxi from the airport and also for onward travel at an excellent price. Breakfast was fresh and homemade every morning and he catered for my daughters nut allergy. It was spotlessly clean and nothing was too much trouble. Chakib provided a map and offered some knowledge on local tourist attractions which suited my daughter and I. There are plenty of local restaurants for an evening meal. The friendly nature of the owner definitely added to our amazing trip to Morocco. He even stored our suitcase while we did a Sahara Desert trip!

Location was excellent as on the edge of the souk without being in the midst of it. So peaceful and tranquil inside - a world away from the world outside. Beautifully restored by the owner. This was his childhood home - how lovely to stay in a house that has been in the same family for generations. Loved the roof terrace with great view of mosque and Atlas mountains. Delicious breakfast with freshly made galettes and crepes. Arranged taxi ride to the airport for us that worked just perfectly and timeously and at a good price.

Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet, with a good amount of storage space for all the bits of shopping one inevitably brings back from the souks. The bathroom and shower were great, and the lovely cleaning ladies keep the whole riad looking spotless. A delicious breakfast was provided, and the hotel manager was very kind to us. The riad is located on a quiet street only 10 minutes away from the Jemaa el-Fnaa on foot, and being situated directly on a road (instead of deep within the medina), pick-ups and drop-offs by car (e.g., for taxis and transport to excursions) are made very simple.

The location is just outside (<5 min walk) the Medinah which makes it easy to access both the Medinah and transport (the airport, train station). The building is very attractive inside and comfortable. The host is lovely, helpful, and generous. The roof garden is a very pleasant place for a day time break from the chaos or a late evening drink. I would thoroughly recommend this venue.

A little bit of noise from the road for the bedrooms at the front, but it is in Marrakech.

Dar Tasnime is very centrally located, within a 15 minute walk of the main square and souks. Despite this proximity to the hustle and bustle of Marrakech, it’s a welcome oasis of calm and quiet. Once you step into the courtyard it really is like entering another world. The twin room which I shared with my daughter was small but comfortable for our one-night stay, and spotlessly clean. Breakfast next morning was an added bonus and a great way to start the day. For a small fee (€5 per bag) we were able to leave our luggage safely after checking out, which allowed us some extra time to explore Marrakech before departure. Dar Tasnime also arranged a shuttle to the airport for €12, which got us there in plenty of time for an evening flight.

Not a gripe, but when we arrived by taxi it wasn’t easy to see how to get into Dar Tasnime. We accidentally went into the hotel next door and a kind young man guided us to the correct entrance, which is always kept shut.

The location was fabulous as we are right on the edge of the Medina with the important sites in walking distance. Chakib is a friendly host, knowledgeable regarding things to do & helpful with transport arrangements. The riad was the family home previously & it's traditional architecture includes a roof terrace with a cool interior courtyard.

I liked it all but would have enjoyed some fruit with the otherwise, excellent breakfast.

The location, the food, the accessibility, the parking, the organization, the help from the owner, everything was on the highest level! The owner helped us with renting a car and giving us recommendations. We had an early morning excursion planned so he packed our breakfast in bags for takeaway. That was really thoughtful. Also, we felt very safe in the riad, left our room open, etc. The terrace is amazing for chilling. The surrounding is quite for sleeping but yet very close to the centre and the Medina. Definitely recommend!

Dar Tasmine is an excellent choice in every way! It is in a great location and easily accessible by car, which is a big advantage. The accommodation itself is beautiful and comfortable, but what truly stands out is the hospitality. The host is incredibly helpful and kind—even when we needed medical assistance, they took care of everything. We are truly grateful for their attentiveness! If we return to Marrakech, we will definitely stay here again.

I LOVED staying at Dar Tasnime. From the very beginning, communication with Chakib was smooth and responsive. The check-in process was smooth. Chakib was the best host ever! Very accommodating but not overbearing. Also very kind with assisting our special requests (early breakfast, late shower, etc.). The Dar only has 6 rooms, so you'll find it very calm and quiet. The location was also nice! Because it's near enough to the medina by walking, but not exactly inside the medina. This helps eliminate the noise at night and also the need for taxis to go to the center, perfect! The room was also spacious and clean as well as the bathroom. If I go back to Marrakesh, I'd definitely stay again in Dar Tasnime :)

Nothing that I didn't like. If I have to nitpick, since we stayed for 5 nights, the breakfast could be more varied with more protein, like eggs, etc. instead of just carbs/sugar every morning. But I guess that's the traditional breakfast, so won't be complaining too much.
