Magnificent overall experience in Marrakesh! Super friendly and lovely hostess Dominique gave wonderful recommendations for sightseeings. The interior was authentic and cozy, rooms were clean and WiFi worked well. Delicious breakfast was cooked on sight. The entire hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. They help to arrange taxis, use trustworthy drivers and come out to meet arriving guests, so the hotel can be found withouth getting lost in the labyrinth of the streets. The hotel is like an oasis in the old town of Marrakesh. Definitely the best stay in Marrakesh!

Unfortunately, we fell for a scam right outside of the hotel. After researching it since, I found out it's a very common scam whereby locals offer to take you to a tannery, or festival of colour, where you see products made by mountain people who have been affected by the earthquakes. They tell you there is only one hour left to see the tannery or festival, and then guide you to it. Basically, it's in a bad area, they try to sell you things you don't want and then pressure you into paying them for their "tour". I would actually like the hotel to warn people about this scam as soon as they arrive. We saw so many groups falling for it, and it put a dampner on this otherwise great trip.

I really liked how we were welcomed by Dominique with Moroccan tea and cookies our first night she gave us instructions on how to maneuver through the Medina and always made sure the guys would accompany us outside. We felt very safe especially being three women alone in a foreign country. Our last night she got up at 3am in the morning to see us off and gave us a hug. Her and her staff were exceptional. We received fresh breakfast and it was always clean and we felt safe always.

Riad Dombaraka is an oasis in the craziness of the medina. It has a welcoming atmosphere. The plunge pool is unbelievable for a cool off and there is unlimited filtered water in the kitchen. The staff are very helpful. Mme Dominique will give you great, no nonsense advice for exploring, eating out and staying safe. The location is perfect for exploring the medina. The riad is kept very clean.

There was a smell coming up through the plughole in the bathroom of our suite. This smell is really ubiquitous in Marrakech medina but it would have been lovely if we'd not had it in our bathroom. We put shampoo bottles over the plugholes to keep the smell out, which helped a bit.

For anyone wanting the riad experience, I doubt you could do better than Riad Dombaraka. It is a beautiful building and Dominique and her staff are very attentive. It is located down a quiet (but easy to find) passageway and is truly an oasis from the madness of the souks around it - once you enter the door you are in cool, calm tranquility. It is the perfect central location, with Jemaa el-Fna less than 10 minutes walk away, only 5 minutes from Madrasa Ben Youssef, 10 minutes to Dar El Bacha, etc. The place is spotlessly clean and well maintained.

This riad is absolutely stunning and has everything you could possibly need for a perfect stay! Dominique, our host, was incredibly warm and helpful — she went above and beyond with amazing restaurant recommendations, insider tips for navigating the medina, and even helped us make reservations. We loved starting our mornings with a delicious traditional breakfast on the terrace, soaking in the beautiful views. And the Hammam and massage? So relaxing! Highly recommend! The location is excellent, well within the medina and just 5-7mins walk from the main square. The airport cab couldn't go all the way to the Riad but that's the case with most riads if you want good location within the medina. But there is tuktuk :) Would suggest to book the taxi from the riad (which we should have) to make sure your arrival is pleasant and you don't have to carry your luggage through the souks.

The best thing about this riad has to be the incredibly comfortable beds — we slept so well! The location is also great: close enough to the main square to walk there easily, but tucked away in a quiet area, so you don’t hear any noise at night. The staff, including the owner, are very kind and always willing to help with any questions or arranging things like taxis or tuk-tuks. The breakfast was excellent too — a really nice start to the day. Lastly, we were really happy with the clean towels everyday. Overall, it’s a lovely riad and a great place to stay, especially if it’s your first time in Marrakech. The only reason we’re giving it a 9 instead of a 10 is because of an issue with the payment. We paid in dirham for two nights and later realized we ended up paying €302 instead of the expected €290. This was explained as “currency exchange fees,” but that didn’t make much sense, since the dirham amount we paid didn’t match the agreed euro price. So just a heads-up — it’s better to pay online or double-check the exchange rate and amount in dirham to avoid being overcharged. Also, a downside: the shower head couldn’t be fixed into the holder, which made washing your hair pretty inconvenient. Still, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it!

Beautiful riad in the medina. Helpful staff who organised taxis etc. When we arrived on New Year’s Eve, they included us in the evenings planned festivities. Was cold in the mornings and evenings but great heating in our suite. We loved having the riads gorgeous cat spending time with us. The highlight was our afternoons spent on the roof terrace with the most gorgeous views of the medina and Atlas Mountains lying on the sun beds after a busy morning of activity.

We lived pretty much everything. Perhaps the breakfast could be varied a little. Also it would be great if people could buy cold drinks at the riad during the day.

The Riad was fantastic. The location couldn't be better - a few minutes walk from the main square, markets and Ben Youssef Medrasa. Dominique, the owner, was great - her lunch and dinner recommendations were spot on and the staff were very professional and helpful. The Riad itself is beautiful, a real hidden gem which has clearly been lovingly cared for and yet restored to make it comfortable and modern for the international visitor. The bed was fantastic and the breakfast delicious homemade bread and jams eaten on the roof terrace with a view over Marrakech. We loved our stay here - there really was noting to fault and we'd highly recommend it to anyone who would like an atmospheric, centrally located hotel with lots of character and a tasty homemade breakfast.

Absolutely stunning decor and overall space. My room was fantastic, the staff incredibly accommodating and helpful.

Unfortunately, during our stay a large group of friends were also staying at the Riad. They held 2 large, long and very noisy dinner parties 2 of the 3 nights we stayed there. Dominique is incredibly accommodating- which is one of the great things about this Riad- but this was also a challenge for us the night of the 2nd dinner party- as we had to get up VERY early the next am to catch our flight.
