Ryad Explore This is a beautiful boutique hotel, recently renovated. The decoration reflects the culture of Morocco with very good taste. The personnel is super friendly and willing to help you always. The ryad is located in the Medina but it is easy to find following the map they provide except watch out as it still doesn’t have a sign with the name however, number 35 is on the door as shown in their address. The security is very good as they keep the door closed and monitored by CCTV. The rooms have brand new A/Cs and offer perks like a kleenex box, bath gel, shampoo and even a nice cotton robe in case you want to refresh in there little indoor swimming pool which more like a big jacuzzi. There is a good continental breakfast buffet included in the rate. The central square of Marrakech is three minutes away. I fully recommend this ryad.

The staff in the Riad were so friendly and lovely, they were happy to answer any questions and made us all feel really welcome. They provided an amazing surprise birthday cake for one of our teenage sons 16th birthday which was on the day that we arrived! Breakfast was great - lots of home made breads and yummy Moroccan eggs - and the famous Moroccan tea that we all looked forward to every morning! The location of the Riad could not have been better - right off one of the main streets and less than 10 minutes from the main square. It was so beautiful and quiet inside the Riad compared to the hustle and bustle outside - like a secret retreat, tastefully decorated in traditional Moroccan style. The shopkeepers in the surrounding area were also all so friendly, courteous and welcoming. We had an amazing time - thank you so much!! ❤️

The only thing that could have been improved was signage! There is no sign outside the Riad to show what it is called (you wouldn't even know that it was. Riad as there is just a number in the door!!!) and no signage or directions on the Main Street. So difficult to find initially - but easy once you know where it is!

Great location, very close to the Jemaa El Fnaa square, but still in a silent neighbourhood. Bahia palace is close-by too. Exceptional staff. Both Ayoub and Hamza go the extra mile. The breakfast options are limited but enough, I was satisfied.

The budget single room is absolutely tiny. The smallest I have ever been in. Also, at over 50 Euros per night, it is not exactly 'Budget'. If you are searching for Riads at the last minute and see this one available, there is a good reason why the early birds have not booked it. On the other hand, it is exactly as seen in the photos, so hidden malice there. Make an informed decision. Beware, the billing is in British Pounds. So consider any overhead your bank may charge for conversion if GBP is not your native currency.

It was exactly what we needed! Perfect location, safe, in amongst the hussle and bussle of the day, but quiet at night. We were only able to enjoy the delicious breakfast one of the 3 days because we were leaving for daytrips before they served breakfast, but it was delicious. Really nice staff, very helpful and we were able to leave our suitcases for the day after checking out ( we had a 6:40 pm flight). I would highly recommend!

Gorgeous riad in an excellent location. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Ayoub. I would definitely stay here again.

The location. The riad is also tastefully decorated, I love the African explorer theme.

It was clean, very friendly staff! But the location it was perfect, it was 5min walks from hotel to Jemaa El Fna square.

Likes - Staff were friendly, very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was good albeit simple and repetitive mainly pancakes, vegetable tagine and eggs of choice. The Riad has a refurbished interior and the design and tiling is very impressive and gives an insight into what a traditional Moroccan house looks like. The decorative plunge pool and lounge area is pretty but you won't be rushing to get your swimwear. Bedroom , one of the larger ones available was small but functional. Good location for Medina Square, Souks and central area of old town. Dislikes - Very uncomfortable bed. Extra hard. The android TV doesn't work unless you have a Netflix or YouTube account. Hotel WiFi was inconsistent in the top floor room. Lots of Noise ! Stayed for 7 nights and we both had terrible sleep throughout. The Riad uses a crazy front door bell system. Every time a guest returns regardless of time of night everyone hears the very loud bell being activated. A main door key being given to all guests would negate this issue and help the onsite member of staff who has to hurry repeatedly downstairs to open the door. Breakfast is served on the roof terrace area which is nice. However guest's rooms are located right beside this area and as soon as breakfast starts 8 am you will hear guests talking and moving metal chairs and tables on concrete and tiles. Their tables may as well be in your room. The small kitchen where staff prepare food was also directly nextdoor. Staff start around 7 am. Add to the mix dogs barking late into the night, the morning call to prayer at sunrise and major building work at the building behind the Riad then sleeping is difficult. On arrival finding the Riad is not straightforward. You will be dropped off with an approx 10 mins walk away. This was expected however there is no street signage anywhere near the Riad to help you find it. The Riad which is up a small side alleyway has no sign outside either. I no doubt appear extremely negative.

The staff, especially Ayoub was amazing. Main plus point went above and beyond.

The rooms with the stairs had really small ceilings so would often bang our heads. The bathroom wasn’t the best and the rooftop had dirty sun lounges.
