Riyad M´boja "Chez Ali Baba" is a piece of heaven. My room was beautifully decorated, clean and cozy and with an extra duvet which came in handy for the colder nights. Breakfast was really good and sustained me throughout the day. The staff was extremely friendly, always ready to help and make sure that I had the best experience and I booked all my excursions through them. The Riyad is well situated right by a farmers market and the 15 minute walk to the Jemaa el Fna through the souk is a new adventure every day. As a woman travelling alone I felt very safe and taken care of in the Riyad M´boja.

AMAZING in all aspects: 1) Top value for money, 2) People there really, really care, 3) One of a kind atmosphere, 4) Wonderful rooftop to chill, 5) Great homemade food, 6) Perfect position for hopping on and off the Medina streets, 7) Peaceful for a great rest. We were welcomed and supported during each day of our stay as if we were family, not just another set of guests. Felt safe as well, all the time. Will recommend to friends and family with full heart. There was nothing to dislike, without any exaggeration!

The rooms are very comfortable and cleaned every day. Great to come back and relax in after sightseeing and enjoying the Medina. There are spaces around the Riad where you can sit and relax if you don't want to be in your room all the time, we enjoyed going up to the roof terrace in the evenings. The staff are very friendly and attentive, they will go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The breakfast and dinners are very generous and tasty. The location of the Riad was perfect for exploring the souks and museums in the Medina by foot. It could be tricky trying to find the location of the Riad using Google maps so we recommend the pick up service from the airport.

The location of the Riad is perfect. It's near very nice streets of the Medina and has beautiful restaurants near by. you are also close to the city wall so a supermarket outside of the Medina is not so far. the room was very sweet and comfortable and very authentic. breakfast was delicious and the personal very nice.

for some reason there is from morning until evening the same Piano song playing. first it was nice to hear some nice music in the Riad while you took a quick break there from being in the Medina all day, but then you realize the same beautiful piano piece plays over and over again which was a little bit annoying. maybe they can change it.

Very responsive host, easily contactable on this website and WhatsApp. I was initially lost, but was able to find my way to the riad. Saad, Iman, and Abdul along with the owner Fawzi were all lovely (sorry I don’t know the name of other staff members). Comfortable room, along with a nice bathroom. All amenities provided as mentioned. My room was on the first floor of the old section of the road, and the overall ambience of the riad was just lovely. Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Cars can’t get to the riad due to narrow road (as it’s in the old town) but you can walk to a nearby convenient pick up point. Rooftop access is amazing - I was able to just sit and soak in the sun and watch the sunset. Surprisingly quiet inside despite the hustle and bustle of the medina. Breakfast was sumptuous and I was able to order extra meals at a cost. They can arrange for airport or rail station transfer at an additional cost. I didn’t want to leave! It was that good. I will come back to this place - highly recommended!

Not much at all. Maybe the shower drain needs to be unclogged and I could not get the right temperature of the shower. But nothing major

The Riad is beautiful I love the earthy colourful decor. We were welcomed and made to feel so comfortable. The staff are so kind and caring and made sure our family had everything we needed. Huge thank you shukran and gratitude to Saad, Iman, Ibrahim and Abdo for being such beautiful warm and kind humans. We are greatful our mother was given the room on the ground floor as she struggled with too many stairs. The terrace was a quiet and peaceful space to relax and the views are great. I am gluten free and I was not able to have some of the breakfast options and there was no issue in accomodating for me to have gluten free bread with my omelette which made me so happy. I couldnt recommend this Riad enough. We are so greatful and happy we chose Riad M'boja for our time in Marrakech. It felt like home from home and that is so important to us. Thank you for everything and next time we are in Marrakech we would happily stay here again! Love and blessings 💚

A lovely family run Riad where it was obvious that all of the staff are invested in ensuring a top level experience for guests. A very warm welcome from the owner, Fawzi and time spent explaining what was available in the area, the best advice also, "allow yourself to get lost in the souk" :-) A special thank you to Saad who was exceptionally helpful, so much so that on hearing us leave the Riad at 5:30am for a hot air balloon ride, jumped out of bed and escorted us to our meeting point to ensure we were safe. The location is perfect, just inside the walls of the medina at Bab Doukkala. Once inside the property, it is like stepping into an oasis of calm from the hustle and bustle outside, no outside noise at all. We had a pick up from the airport and drop back, arranged by the Riad, which I would recommend. Dinner on the first night was really good and saved trying to find somewhere when tired from travel and unsure of where to go.

The bedroom is very small, so not suitable if you have a lot of luggage or you are more than average size, but then again the property is over 400 years old so the rooms are what they are.

This was a wonderful place to stay for 4 nights in Marrakech. The riad organized an airport pick up and after waiting 1 hr and 45 minutes in the passport line, the driver was still outside the Exit doors with his "Riad Mboja" sign. The location is excellent and it's very nice to have a quiet space to return to after wandering the alley ways of the Medina. It's actually amazing how quiet the riad is - you feel like you're stepping into another world. All the staff are very helpful. Views from the rooftop terrace are lovely. Good local places to eat within a 5 minute walk are Mokhtar Resto and Zaman. All in all, a very enjoyable stay in Marrakech.

The Riad is located within a walking distance from all attractions of Marrakesh, mid way between old town with souks & Koutoubia Mosque, and Majorelle gardens. The staff is very friendly. The Riad has a roof top terrace and the breakfast is very good. The building is very old with small rooms and limited facilities- no TV or kettle but the rooms are very clean. If you are looking for authenticity and good price rather than a luxury stay, this is a good place for you.

The were issues with water- one day there was no hot water for 1-2 hours and the other day there was no water at all for 2 hours. However, as it was explained to is, this was not a fault of the hotel but rather the problem with the supplier.

The location was good and the breakfast was fine as well as the room. But what I liked most was that everyone at "Chez Ali Baba" were absolutely fabulous. It was the first time me and my wife visited Morocco and both of us are around 70 years old, and not very good at using the Internet as you must be nowadays when you are travelling. But everyone at the hotel were exceptionally friendly, nice and helpful, which is so valuable when you come to a foreign country for the first time.
