We loved our stay in February 24. Above all was the friendliness of the staff. Also, when we had a medical problem they bent over backwards to support us. We had a very big room for 3. We liked the quietness. No noise, so you could rest after a busy day. We liked the breakfeast with omelettes, croissants, fruits, Maroccan pancakes etc. The riad is situated 100m from the city walls where you enter he old city center (the medina) via Rue Bab Doukkala. 20 min by foot to the main square (Djemaa el Fna).
Really no big negatives. It is hard to find but they offer free pick-up (highly recommended). WLAN was sometimes unstable.

Our stay at Riad El Hara last weekend was exceptional. From the moment we were collected at the airport (only 20 euros) to when we left, everything was welcoming, efficient and professional. Our special thanks go to Karima, Omar and Mohammed who took great care of us. Karima in particular exudes the centuries old Berber tradition of warm hospitality, and made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. The property was formerly home to a wealthy family and was converted to a small hotel only 3 years ago, so you get the old and historical plus the new and comfortable (flat screen TV, WiFi, etc). There are only 7 rooms so you get none of the impersonal hustle and bustle of a larger hotel. You have the convenience of being only a few steps from a busy street yet feel cocooned in a quiet oasis of calm. We were lucky to have a room with a private terrace (most rooms, as is traditional with Riads, face only into the interior courtyard) which gave us somewhere to sit and enjoy the view (one of the entrances to the Medina, the walled old city, is right across the street). The staff booked a number of activities for us - a private guided walking tour on the evening of our arrival which helped us get our bearings and find our way around the Medina and to the souks and central square; a cookery class; and an early morning hot air balloon ride which was a highlight for us (top marks to operators Moroccan Sun, and their videographers from Red Photography). A hearty daily breakfast was included, and in-room fruit and snacks were restocked daily. For my wife's birthday a cake and bottle of bubbly were presented to her when we returned from a day of sightseeing was a lovely touch. So overall - thank you Riad El Hara, we'll be back!

What can we say about our 1 week stay at Riad el Hara: On arriving at the Riad el Hara, we were met by Karima, who gave us the warmest of welcomes. We were given a real traditional welcome of Moroccan mint tea with biscuits. We were told that whilst we stayed at the Riad we were family. Staying in the Bacha junior suite, the bed was super comfy, it had all the modern conveniences with a twist of traditional Moroccan living. They’ve kept the original beautifully handcrafted wardrobes, window shutters, fireplaces and tiles that transport you to bygone eras. We loved that! It was our 33rd wedding anniversary during our stay and they decorated our bed with towel art and rose petals, which was a beautiful touch. All the staff were super friendly and accommodating. The chef lady made us a beautiful breakfast in the rooftop restaurant every morning. We are vegetarian and they accommodated this to a high standard with traditional foods and pastries. We felt like family throughout our stay. Karima, Mohammad and The lovely girl who cleaned our room, went above and beyond to assist us. Thank you all for making our stay in Marrakesh so enjoyable. Whoever reads this review- don’t hesitate to book and enjoy being part of this Moroccan Riad Family during your stay.

Our stay at Riad El Hara was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Karima and her wonderful team, who went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. Their genuine hospitality, kindness, and attention to detail truly made our experience unforgettable. The riad itself is absolutely stunning – a perfect blend of traditional Moroccan charm and modern comfort. Every corner is beautifully designed, from the serene courtyard to the cozy rooftop terrace. It’s a peaceful oasis right in the heart of the Medina. Karima's warmth and professionalism set the tone for a perfect stay. Whether it was helping us with recommendations or preparing delicious breakfasts, she and her team ensured everything ran smoothly. If you're looking for a truly authentic and luxurious experience in Marrakech, Riad El Hara is a hidden gem you shouldn’t miss. We can’t wait to return!

"An Unforgettable Experience" Staying at this property was truly a remarkable experience—one that exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, everything was impeccably clean, the decor was stunning, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. It didn’t feel like we were guests; it felt as though we were part of a family. The staff’s professionalism and courtesy were unmatched. They were not only attentive but also went far above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. When we were unwell during the stay, their care was extraordinary. They did everything in their power to make us feel better, attending to our needs with kindness and compassion that we will never forget. The food they provided was absolutely incredible—delicious, thoughtfully prepared, and full of flavor. Additionally, when we needed tours arranged locally, they took the initiative to organize everything efficiently. It was all handled so seamlessly, and we always felt safe and well taken care of. A special mention to Karima, whose warmth, kindness, attentiveness, and genuine care made us feel like we were in the hands of family. She went above and beyond in every possible way, and we’re so grateful for her efforts. The entire team’s efforts to make us feel at home were truly touching. It wasn’t just about providing service; it was about creating a connection, and they did it so effortlessly. Their attention to detail, genuine care, and tireless dedication are a testament to the incredible hospitality here. It’s a place we would return to in a heartbeat, not just for the excellent accommodations but for the people who make it so special. To anyone considering staying here—don’t hesitate. You’ll leave with memories and a deep appreciation for their unparalleled hospitality.

From an outside look you will never guess that a hotel is located there. Once you are stepping inside it all transforms into a very nice place that is really authentic. Rooms are big and clean, you have all the facilities needed, fruits and snacks in the room, traditional breakfast (and it's sufficient and diverse). The staff at the hotel are polite and nice, very friendly and they even helped me organize a surprise for my wife's birthday. (Thank you so much!). The location is good, you can walk right into the old town, we never had to take back any taxi, just walk. We have enjoyed it very much!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Riad El Hara in Marrakesh, and I can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality. The service was incredible—the staff were absolutely faultless and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and memorable. Their recommendations for restaurants and activities were brilliant and truly enhanced my experience in the city.To make our stay even more special, they arranged a small celebration for my husband's birthday, which was a wonderful surprise and added a personal touch to our visit. The welcome mint tea was a lovely touch that set the tone for my entire stay. The riad itself is beautifully designed, with stunning traditional Moroccan architecture that truly captures the essence of the culture. My room was spacious, impeccably clean, and adorned with lovely decor. I appreciated the comfortable bed, which provided a perfect night's sleep after exploring the vibrant streets of Marrakesh. One of my favorite aspects of Riad El Hara was the beautiful courtyard, complete with a plunge pool that was perfect for relaxing during the hotter parts of the day. The rooftop terrace offered breathtaking views of the Medina, especially at sunset—an experience I’ll never forget.I also enjoyed the delicious meals served at the riad; the Moroccan cuisine was a delightful exploration of flavors. Each dish I tried was a culinary delight, prepared with fresh, local ingredients.Overall, my stay at Riad El Hara was an enchanting experience filled with comfort, charm, and a touch of luxury. If you’re looking for an authentic Moroccan getaway in Marrakesh, this is the place to be!

Our stay in Riad El Hara was a joy from the minute we arrived. We have never had a warmer and more genuine welcome upon arrival anywhere. The Riad is a beautiful, calming space and our room was spacious, immaculate and so inviting. The smell of orange blossom was just heavenly. The Riad is situated in a super location. You can see the walls of the Medina from the rooftop terrace yet you are away from the immediate hustle and bustle. You are a short, safe walk to all of the main attractions. The breakfasts were such a treat. Each day there was something different to try and experience and the team quickly memorised our preferences with no need to remind them each day. It really is a home away from home. Nothing is too much trouble for Karima and her team. She organised a wonderful Street Food Tour for us on our final night and it was a real treat. She also arranged transport to and from the airport that was very comfortable, affordable and made the beginning and end of our trip so smooth and hassle free.

A Trap for the Heart – The Riad I Never Wanted to Leave If there’s any danger in booking this Riad, it’s not the location (which is perfect, nestled between the bustling Medina and the modern part of the city), nor the service (which is flawless, with a team that goes above and beyond to ensure every guest’s comfort and well-being). The real risk? Falling hopelessly in love with the atmosphere, the people, and the experience… and never wanting to leave. After the exhilarating chaos of the souks, stepping through the doors of this Riad feels like entering a secret sanctuary where time slows down. The decor, the scent of spices in the air, the soft glow of light filtering through the courtyard—everything invites absolute relaxation. But what truly makes this place unforgettable is the people. The care, the attention to detail, the genuine hospitality make every guest feel like more than just a visitor—you feel welcomed, valued, at home. And then, there’s the food. Breakfast? A feast of fresh, high-quality ingredients that awaken the senses. But the real revelation—the gastronomic epiphany—came with the other meals. After trying the most recommended restaurants on Instagram and in local guides, I realized that the best meal of my trip was right here, at the Riad. The most flavorful, aromatic tanjia, the most delicious bread I had throughout my journey. No filters, no pretensions—just pure, authentic flavors. This Riad is not just a place to sleep. It’s a place to feel, to experience, to remember with longing. One of the best accommodations I’ve ever had the privilege of staying in—and one of the hardest to leave behind.

We knew the minute we stepped into The Riad Hara that we had made the right choice! Our superior suite was out of this world, the rooftop and pool were gorgeous, the breakfasts were huge and so delicious, and the Riad was such a peaceful sanctuary just outside of the hustle and bustle of the walls of the Medina. All of that would have been fantastic but it was Karina and her staff (shout out to Mohammed and Hicham for doting on us!) that made this place magical! Karima went out of her way to make sure our stay in Marrakech was everything it could be - from arranging dinner reservations, a guide for the first day, a hot air balloon ride, and the cherry on top - a guide and car for a 5 day trip into the desert (a dream come true)! Not only did she make arrangements but she checked in every time to make sure ever it was all we had hoped for. Karima and her staff will be in our hearts forever! You must book this place if you’re visiting Marrakech but if it's full check out her sister hotel, The Little Hara, located right in the middle of the Medina. We had a wonderful 1 night stay there too.
