We liked the fact that we were very close to the centre of town, but not in it. Just a short bus trip away. We were close to several eating places, a great coffee shop and a supermarket for supplies. The room was well equipped for a short stay and our hosts, who lived upstairs, were very friendly and helpful.

We wanted to do some laundry, but the property had no facilities, so searched for a nearby laundromat. It was a 10-15 min walk away. The bonus for us is that it was situated in a street that was hosting a big festival that day, so there was plenty to do while we waited for the machines to do their stuff!

We greatly enjoyed staying at this property – wonderful, clean room with everything you need! There is a coffee machine with excellent quality coffee, also a good selection of teas and instant coffee, a small complementary bottle of a very good wine, some apples – it was very sweet of Adrienne and Boudewijn to provide these extras! :-) Easy to travel around – bus 22 to the central station, tram 7 to Van Gogh & Rijks Museums, very convenient! Or, very enjoyable walk to the city centre – it won’t take you more than 20 min to get to the centre. Many good places to eat nearby, a supermarket is also behind the corner – great location! Hosts are very helpful and responsive – they very quickly replied to all our messages, allowed us to check-in earlier (as we arrived earlier) – although of course it can’t be guaranteed. Wonderful experience, we’ll definitely come back to Amsterdam and hopefully will stay there again :-)

Room was lovely, spacious and clean. Hosts were on hand if we needed them and very helpful. We arrived early and we were allowed to leave our bags whilst we went out exploring which was great. location was fabulous with lovely places to eat and drink nearby.

We like to sleep with the window open and it could get a little noisy and smelly if passers by decided to sit on the bench out side the window smoking. this is obviously out of the hosts control and we could of shut the windows

The location is in a quiet neighborhood of Amsterdam rather than a touristy and crowded part of the city. There are a couple of good restaurants close by. The pillows were too firm for me and Adrienne went out of her way to leave me a soft decorative pillow with a couple of pillow cases which was much appreciated. The bed is very comfortable and the shower is very nice.

The only thing I didn’t care for was the noise of the sump pump while showering or flushing the toilet.

Location was chosen for proximity to Olympic stadium (marathon) but SO glad we didn't go to the centre of Amsterdam. Calm, beautiful area next to a canal with some fantastic places to eat. Travelling by tram was so easy to navigate and great to get to all destinations. Adrienne and Boudewijn were the perfect hosts with some great recommendations for places to eat. We visited the Stedelijk museum of modern art and Rembrandt's house. Both worth a visit. Also managed to fit in a canal cruise which was also very good. Ate at Pension Homeland on Sunday evening - an amazing original officer's mess overlooking the water with the original 1950s fittings and decor! Food was fab too. Couple of tips. People generally eat early - not unusual to eat at 6pm - and it's worth booking to avoid disappointment. Also there are no refreshments inside the Amsterdam Eurostar terminal so eat beforehand or take food with you. We loved every minute of our stay! Love Amsterdam.

i cannot find a fault with this property. The hosts are so friendly and helpful - great communication before my arrival, and also an extensive welcome pack with info about the neighbourhood. The rooms are fresh, clean and tastefully renovated to the highest quality - also very practical with everything you could possibly need to stay a few days, or a few weeks (plenty plug sockets, crockery, cutlery, tea coffee etc.) Located 20/25 minute walk from Centraal (towards the de Gooyer windmill) it is in a peaceful part of the city but not too far away from all the sights. and if you’re visiting the city you will be prepared to walk/cycle a lot anyway! there is a supermarket, great cafe and plenty other food options available within 5 minutes walk.

Room very comfortable and spacious. The bathroom is great. There is tea and coffee available, and we we were received with a bottle of wine and fruit. There are tram and bus stations near that allowed us to go to the main atractions. There are several options for the breakfast (we enjoyed a lot the Spirits).

mini bar was not ver cold.

It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. the street was nice and quiet. The host greeted us and provided excellent suggestions for where to eat and places to see during our stay. There were little touches like welcome fruit and drinks upon check in after our busy commute.

It would have been helpful to have a bath mat to avoid water on the floor and directions for using the thermostat and ventilation in the bathroom.

Impeccably clean and comfortable, convenient and stylish. Hosts were really helpful providing lots of tips about the area, which was lovely, with great places to eat and drink on the doorstep. The room was really thoughtfully appointed with everything you could need for a comfortable stay.

Super cute apartment! You can see that a lot of love and attention to detail was put into the room. Cozy and comfortable! A little oasis in the city and very quiet for sleeping. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Nothing to report. Our stay was great!
