Stayed in Superior room. Location : Great, not far from central station. Walkable, tram and bus accessible. Spectacular water view with sunrise and sunset. Fantastic balcony, calm as it's away from traffic. The island is walkable along the water and also has some beautiful small parks on the inner streets. Room was spacious with amazing balcony. Bed was comfy. Bathroom and toilet were spotless. Swimming pool was nice with surprisingly strong jets. They were good to practise upstream swimming, and as massagers. Sauna was ok, could have been bigger. Bakery was nice, not expensive at all. Tuna melt sandwich was delicious. The bakers were also very sweet and kind. There were some board games, so we managed to play one after checkout before leaving for the station. Overall the stay was pleasant and enjoyable.

Food in the restaurant was ok, not top notch. I remember it used to be really good until last year. May be the chef changed. Both the lifts were terribly slow, and take several minutes to come after requesting them. Had to take stairs few times. Cleaning could be better. People next door kept leaving their prosecco glasses or coffee cups in front of the door so it sort of ruins the atmosphere when going to our room and the cleaning staff would not pick them up. They hand out prosecco at the check-in which we finished in our room but room service still left those glasses after cleaning. That's probably why the neighbours put them outside.

Everything was fantastic, including our welcome Prosecco from Timo, the Floor Manager, staff efficiency and friendliness, breakfasts and dinners. My request for a flat pillow was prompt and made my sleep more comfortable. The view from our balcony was always interesting with all the movement on the canal.

There was nothing we didn’t like, as we always received considered answers to our many questions. My husband had a massage at the spa which he considered to be extremely good. The Nasi Goring was fabulous - I ordered that 3 times, washed down with a lovely Sauvignon Blanc!

Hotel was beautiful. We loved the green spaces and the style of the accomadation. Restaurant was lovely and we spent a delightful couple of hours having late lunch in the sunshine on the day of arrival outside on the terrace. Loved the pool Room was very comfortable the mini fridge great addition to the room . Could maybe benefit from a brighter light on the dimmable switches. Fab shower . My daughter was looking forward to a bath when she saw it but didn't enjoy it when she had one . Too deep ,uses too much water and the position of the plug in the middle of the bath wasn't comfortable. Staff were all very professional , helpful and friendly. Providing a very welcoming environment . Food was great ,very tasty . Cocktail bar was cool good views and cocktails. The reusable bottle, in the room was a brilliant idea . Used mine everyday and brought it home with me . Location was fantastic a 6 minute bus ride on the 43 to Central Staion . Both bus stops a short distance from entrance . When tapping on and off the busses its the top pad , the bus drivers can get a little aggravated if passengers don't know this .

Rooms were a little bit dark

We booked the room to view Sail 2025. We were very late booking, so while we were not on the best side of the building to view the ships, we could still see them Sail In, the fireworks, and activities. The location on Java Island was perfect for Sail as the 'best' ships were berthed at the island, and the stage, Ferris wheel, etc, were also on the Island. The room was spacious, with a balcony, very large TV, two towels each, great shower and a separate bath. The breakfast was excellent.

No hooks for towels/dressing gowns near the shower nor an adequate shelf for shampoo/conditioner in the shower.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the warm and welcoming staff made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable, and we especially enjoyed the stunning views that added to the charm of our experience. The bed was incredibly soft and provided one of the best night’s sleep we’ve had in a while. What stood out even more was the convenience of having so many amenities right within the hotel itself from a delightful bakery to a fantastic restaurant that served delicious dishes and a fantastic bar called "Malabar", everything was just perfect. This place truly exceeded our expectations, and we can't wait to visit again!

My room was nice and sizeable, the location was close to the central station.

The spa, very unfriendly service, I was not treated kindly. The shower drain in my room was smelling. Also I didn't like that you pay for someone to deliver room service ... perhaps it's unfamiliar territory for me. Also the staff just open the room doors without knocking, happened to me during the testing of the fire alarm and no apology was offered. Then the second time, another staff just opened door and after she saw me she cited she was just doing a check. That's strange. Begs the question that when guests are not there do they just come in?

The environmental credentials and the light - everywhere felt spacious due to the high ceilings and glass panels - even the stairwell! Very comfortable room, lovely bed and great shower. Food was excellent.

More a comment on the neighbourhood really - very few restaurants or cafes on the island itself so we couldn’t just walk out to go for dinner after a long day of sightseeing. Fortunately the in-house menu was excellent so we ate in several times. The noise level in the sky bar was too much for us the night we went up there as there was a DJ for a party on the top level. We couldn’t have a conversation, so drank up and retreated to our rooms!

Lovely well appointed room with view of IJ river. Quiet (ask for high floor). All staff very good. Breakfast buffet can be a little chaotic as hotel is full with guests coming and going around river cruises. 43 bus runs 3 times an hour to and from Centraal Station (2 times an hour during evenings) and stops right outside the hotel - can pay with contactless on the bus.

Some gluten free options available at breakfast but I had my concerns about their understanding of cross-contact risks so stuck to sealed items only. Given 3 lovely gifts during our week’s stay but 2 contained gluten even though this was clearly marked on my guest record. Alternative was provided when asked but would have been nice not to have had to do the asking (or the checking of ingredients when gift was left in our room).

Modern facilities, well styled and functional. Comfortable room. Rich variety of options for breakfast. Convenient parking in house. Location within easily manageable distance from main Amsterdam attractions. Professional and kindly helpful staff.

Two elevators with no up/down call button distinguishing function were a real bottleneck at busy times for that hotel size. Hanging possibilities for towels when in shower a real mystery. Also, a single bottle of body wash, to be used for both hand washing and showering by two people (nothing else available) during 5 days with no replacement was … rather insufficient.

I would say the breakfast was the best love and seeing the chef cooking fresh food lotta food

What would’ve been really nice if he had a bus service from the airport to your hotel that was a little scary knowing that you’re in a different country and trying to get to your hotel, the taxi service are too much a rip off according to Google that we should only pay €86 they get from the airport to your hotel But the taxi service they are knowing that out of town they want to charge you they want to charge you €180 and when I saw all these other buses with the hotel name on it, I thought that would be great. That way you know you’re not gonna get ripped off.
