I stayed in a pod and that was a great staying as for a solo traveller. I loved the general ambiance and the concept of the hotel. The staff, as well as other guests or perhaps long-term residents, were very friendly and contributed to a welcoming atmosphere.

I enjoyed everything except for finding a small mouse jumping out of my luggage while I was moving out. I understand that the building is old and that I left my luggage open overnight, but it would be great if I didn't have to experience this.

It is a very unusual place to stay - a church, and the accomodation type is like in a hostel but more advanced. The pods where we stayed were more intimate than a typical dormitory beds. Clean linen, towels, comfortable bed, light, a place where to store your baggage. The showers and toilets were clean, though the showers overflood water to the mail floor. The showers and toilets are descreet, have body wash, shampoo and even conditionair and body cream available, hair dryer and hair curler for common usage. The breakfast included in the offer wasn't very broad, but still very delicious and anyone can find something for their needs. The decor in the hotel is also very modern, and the staff ir very friendly, asnwered all our questions and gave some tips and directions as well. Overall it was a great place to stay.

When we asked on the first day if we can switch to a pod on the first floor and not on the second floor because the stairs aren't the most convenient, the guy in the reception said that he can't move us because all pods are booked, even though 2 pods are not yet taken because the other people have not checked in yet and we could easily just switch. The next day we asked the same question to another person at the reception and they changed it easily.

The building is amazingly decorated with art everywhere, brutally modern and eco. Pods for sleeping are very cute, and comfortable bed to sleep

Even if they are things impossible to manage from the business is good to have them to be prepared. As in the pods, the room have around 40. So the constant noise of coughing, talking, plastic bag, people climbing down middle night to pee… all of this is better (if you have special sensitivity with sounds at night) with some noise cancellation earphones. People have been very polite and as less possible sound, but there’re some minimim noise for being living lol

I absolutely love this place! Wonderful staff and really cool adapted space. I’m so glad that I made this last-minute stop and will easily come back to this hostel anytime.

I didn’t get to stay another night

The pods were large compared to other capsule hotels I've stayed in. It was very quiet though so you could easily chill out and not be disturbed despite being separated by just a curtain. The mattresses were clean and they had mattress protectors. The lockers under the pods felt secure. For reference I managed to fit my carry on wheely, a day pack, pair of trainers, flip flop( youll want to bring a pair for shower and walking to a from toilet), small tote with some shopping. So lots of space! The facilities were nice and well stocked with body wash and shampoo etc. I never had to queue for shower or toilet and they were kept clean. The bar and restaurant were nice. I only got drinks and there are places to sit and chill. The drinks were very nice. There's a library and other rooms to find in the hotel!!! It's a very funky hotel that's been well converted. It still smelt like church. And there were prayer benches dotted around the place. Good for when dealing with your luggage! This isn't your party hotel. All the guests were very respectful of each other. Although don't let that stop you from asking people if they wanted to hang out in the bar or in town. The staff were friendly and helpful. The walk to the ferry into town is a bit further than the metro but it's a very nice walk and the ferry is free and frequent. Nordpaark metro is very close. I felt very safe walking.

For a capsule hotel I thought the price was a bit steep. The cost to have food included was also a bit out of my budget however it looked and smelt very nice and I would have paid if I could. I had to pay to use a locker on check out to store my stuff for a few hours before my scheduled train. It would have been nice if it was included in the price.

I am a solo female traveler. This is my first time travelling alone, so i was extremely nervous. Starting my trip in Amsterdam was also incredibly daunting as it is one of the more expensive countries to travel to... However, I managed to book 3 nights with this hostel for £182, which was such a steal compared to the prices of other establishments for only 2 nights. It was super clean, and the added bit of privacy with the bunks was so appreciated! It is also in such a great location, as it's only a 10 minute walk to the ferry (which is free) to Amsterdam Central, where I spent most of my 2 days engaging in the culture.

I recently stayed at Bunk Hotel Amsterdam, and I must say, it was quite the experience! Right from the start, the vibe of the place is really welcoming. The design is modern and quirky, making it feel less like your typical hotel and more like a cool hangout spot. The location couldn’t be better! It’s situated close to the city center, so I could easily walk to popular attractions and find some great local eateries nearby. I loved being able to pop into a café or grab a bite without having to travel far. I stayed in a private room, which was stylish. The bed was super comfortable, and I appreciated how clean everything was—it made my stay feel cozy and inviting. One of my favorite parts was the hotel bar and restaurant. It had a great atmosphere for winding down after a day of exploring. I met some really cool people while hanging out in the communal areas, which added to the overall friendly vibe. The staff were awesome too! From checking in to giving me tips on where to go, they made me feel right at home. It really felt like they cared about my experience. Overall, Bunk Hotel Amsterdam is a fantastic place to stay if you want a mix of comfort and a sociable atmosphere without breaking the bank. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Amsterdam!

Bunk is a hidden gem. We felt very welcome and comfortable. It is also a very short walk from the Noordpark metro station that goes towards the town centre. It is also reachable by ferry (which is free!) + a 20-minute walk. We stayed in a shared bunk - the space was clean, large enough for a couple and had a few hangers, side bed pockets and a secured locker. The other people were quiet and polite too. The bathrooms and showers are shared but very clean. They provide extra towels, hand-wash & hand moisturiser, shampoo, Conditioner and body wash. The tap water is drinkable!

Location was great, nice and quiet but just a short ride on a free ferry from the main bustling city centre. Very cool vibe in the hotel, rooms were compact but perfect as a place to relax after a day exploring. Very well sound proofed so no noise issues. Warm, cozy beds. Staff were all friendly and helpful and the restaurant was lovely.

Rooms are only cleaned every 5 days I think, it would have been nice to have had a quick mop around the floor and change of towels more regularly. The room was spotless but with such a small floor area it can get a bit dusty after being out walking around all day.

Great location, just two subway stops from the center. Hotel in an old church, very nice. Clean and comfortable boxes, good bar and cafe. Everything is decorated very cozy. No need to take shower gel or shampoo, everything is here and of good quality. The quality of the food is also at a level.

If you have little time, do not order breakfast in this place. Only one person cooks them, there are many people. You will wait for a long time, the first time I waited for almost an hour, the second time, it was my own fault, I overslept, but when I saw that the person who came to the cafe after me received breakfast, I went to my bus. But otherwise, this is one of the best hostels I have been to around the world.
