I stayed in a pod and that was a great staying as for a solo traveller. I loved the general ambiance and the concept of the hotel. The staff, as well as other guests or perhaps long-term residents, were very friendly and contributed to a welcoming atmosphere.

I enjoyed everything except for finding a small mouse jumping out of my luggage while I was moving out. I understand that the building is old and that I left my luggage open overnight, but it would be great if I didn't have to experience this.

It is a very unusual place to stay - a church, and the accomodation type is like in a hostel but more advanced. The pods where we stayed were more intimate than a typical dormitory beds. Clean linen, towels, comfortable bed, light, a place where to store your baggage. The showers and toilets were clean, though the showers overflood water to the mail floor. The showers and toilets are descreet, have body wash, shampoo and even conditionair and body cream available, hair dryer and hair curler for common usage. The breakfast included in the offer wasn't very broad, but still very delicious and anyone can find something for their needs. The decor in the hotel is also very modern, and the staff ir very friendly, asnwered all our questions and gave some tips and directions as well. Overall it was a great place to stay.

When we asked on the first day if we can switch to a pod on the first floor and not on the second floor because the stairs aren't the most convenient, the guy in the reception said that he can't move us because all pods are booked, even though 2 pods are not yet taken because the other people have not checked in yet and we could easily just switch. The next day we asked the same question to another person at the reception and they changed it easily.

The building is amazingly decorated with art everywhere, brutally modern and eco. Pods for sleeping are very cute, and comfortable bed to sleep

Even if they are things impossible to manage from the business is good to have them to be prepared. As in the pods, the room have around 40. So the constant noise of coughing, talking, plastic bag, people climbing down middle night to pee… all of this is better (if you have special sensitivity with sounds at night) with some noise cancellation earphones. People have been very polite and as less possible sound, but there’re some minimim noise for being living lol

Good location within strolling distance of the ferry to Centraal Station. The interior of the converted church is intriguing, with 'rooms' built in a staggered formation around the central space. The original wooden roof is directly over the ground-floor seating area which gives a spacious feel to the sitting space. The walls of the original building are also visible in places, which is fascinating to see. Stayed in one of the Pods - surprisingly quiet at night despite there being forty pods in a large dorm. Bed was good, comfortable with a good duvet. Only gripe is that the only light switch is at the foot end. Good, strong showers in the shared shower-room with gratis shower gel and shampoo that was good quality Zenology. Also gratis towels, which were very welcome. Bookshelves in the shared pod-dorm with plenty of reads to choose from. Albert Heijn supermarket just a few minutes away in Mosveld.

The showers were good and strong BUT the shared shower area needs a design overhaul. The 'gender neutral' shared shower areas just aren't totally 'neutral'. Mirrors positioned 155cm high behind the sinks - that's not 'neutral', not many female guests could actually use them. Watched a guy on tippy-toes trying to see in the mirror to shave & had to pray he wouldn't slip! Six sinks in a row with no space to put anything - toothbrush, make-up, hairbrush - no shelves, no spaces for anything. And the languishing blonde in red silk sprawled across the black shower doors - no, just no! Paint over it. But, OK, the showers themselves were good with plenty of hot water.

I absolutely love this place! Wonderful staff and really cool adapted space. I’m so glad that I made this last-minute stop and will easily come back to this hostel anytime.

I didn’t get to stay another night

This place is gorgeous! It makes you want to visit it like a museum. Full of art and secret surprising corners. The design is superb! The place is suuuuuper clean and smells amazing. It's a green/eco hotel, which I loved, and they take it seriously without compromising comfort. The staff is really kind and helpful. The coffee is amazing! I truly advise you to have breakfast there at least once and ask for the chai latte and the croissants! The room was cosy, clean, and adorable. Perfect for a single person of a couple. A big comfortable bed, a great pressure shower, and the most amazing smelling shower gel and shampoo. It's on the Noord, the northern part of Amesterdam, a beautiful area. You have a metro station to the city at a 5-minute walking distance or the ferry (free) if you want to do the 15-minute walk by the river, which it's beautiful and veryy worth it! Either way, you are 10 minutes away from Amesterdam Central Station and the Centrum.

Has a short portuguese it was kind of hard for me to reach the towels and to step up/down into the bed, but I guess that's a me problem 😅

This place was really easy to find - there’s a free ferry out the front of the train station that runs every 10 minutes or so. From there it’s about another 10-15 minute walk alongside the river. This is a quirky hotel with some great art about the place! We stayed in a double pod and whilst they were small they had everything we needed with charging ports, luggage storage and hooks to hang things. Plus the lighting in the pods was a bit of fun with the changing colours! The beds were comfy, the communal bathrooms were clean and there were fresh towels available each day. There is a restaurant downstairs but the only thing we had there was coffee so I cannot comment on the food!

No kitchen area to prepare own meals or make tea / coffee. Being Amsterdam, people were out quite late and the pods were all in one big room so there was a bit of noise through the night - bring earplugs! Felt it was slightly overpriced for a pod however the nice bathroom facilities and restaurant / outdoor area made up for it !

How easy it was to go into the city. Nice forest walk to get there. Friendly staff. The vibe. Comfy beds.

We had a triple room and the beds can be hard to get out of as you have to shuffle to the end of it, also the space was tight. The toilet and bathroom only has slightly frosted glass which made it a little comfortable especially for my teenage sons. You can see through while using the toilet but especially with showering so 2 of us would have to leave the room if someone wanted to shower so as to be able to be comfortable. A bit expensive especially to eat there. Rooms were too warm especially during the night and no way to open a window for air. Pictures on line make it look bigger than it actually is.

Beautiful property, the building itself in the converted church is stunning but the design, renovation and style has clearly been so well thought out and beautifully put together, given the reasonable price we paid for our group of four it felt like we were staying in a luxury stylish accomodation. Whilst it’s not in the city centre exactly, we enjoyed the calmness of the area away from the chaotic centre, easy 15 min walk to the ferry which was incredibly convenient, free and only 5 mins to central station. Lovely bar and restaurant downstairs where we would start our day with delicious coffee every morning. Staff were fantastic too, very happy :)
