Everything was fantastic, including our welcome Prosecco from Timo, the Floor Manager, staff efficiency and friendliness, breakfasts and dinners. My request for a flat pillow was prompt and made my sleep more comfortable. The view from our balcony was always interesting with all the movement on the canal.

There was nothing we didn’t like, as we always received considered answers to our many questions. My husband had a massage at the spa which he considered to be extremely good. The Nasi Goring was fabulous - I ordered that 3 times, washed down with a lovely Sauvignon Blanc!

Hotel was beautiful. We loved the green spaces and the style of the accomadation. Restaurant was lovely and we spent a delightful couple of hours having late lunch in the sunshine on the day of arrival outside on the terrace. Loved the pool Room was very comfortable the mini fridge great addition to the room . Could maybe benefit from a brighter light on the dimmable switches. Fab shower . My daughter was looking forward to a bath when she saw it but didn't enjoy it when she had one . Too deep ,uses too much water and the position of the plug in the middle of the bath wasn't comfortable. Staff were all very professional , helpful and friendly. Providing a very welcoming environment . Food was great ,very tasty . Cocktail bar was cool good views and cocktails. The reusable bottle, in the room was a brilliant idea . Used mine everyday and brought it home with me . Location was fantastic a 6 minute bus ride on the 43 to Central Staion . Both bus stops a short distance from entrance . When tapping on and off the busses its the top pad , the bus drivers can get a little aggravated if passengers don't know this .

Rooms were a little bit dark

We had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the warm and welcoming staff made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable, and we especially enjoyed the stunning views that added to the charm of our experience. The bed was incredibly soft and provided one of the best night’s sleep we’ve had in a while. What stood out even more was the convenience of having so many amenities right within the hotel itself from a delightful bakery to a fantastic restaurant that served delicious dishes and a fantastic bar called "Malabar", everything was just perfect. This place truly exceeded our expectations, and we can't wait to visit again!

Lovely well appointed room with view of IJ river. Quiet (ask for high floor). All staff very good. Breakfast buffet can be a little chaotic as hotel is full with guests coming and going around river cruises. 43 bus runs 3 times an hour to and from Centraal Station (2 times an hour during evenings) and stops right outside the hotel - can pay with contactless on the bus.

Some gluten free options available at breakfast but I had my concerns about their understanding of cross-contact risks so stuck to sealed items only. Given 3 lovely gifts during our week’s stay but 2 contained gluten even though this was clearly marked on my guest record. Alternative was provided when asked but would have been nice not to have had to do the asking (or the checking of ingredients when gift was left in our room).

Modern facilities, well styled and functional. Comfortable room. Rich variety of options for breakfast. Convenient parking in house. Location within easily manageable distance from main Amsterdam attractions. Professional and kindly helpful staff.

Two elevators with no up/down call button distinguishing function were a real bottleneck at busy times for that hotel size. Hanging possibilities for towels when in shower a real mystery. Also, a single bottle of body wash, to be used for both hand washing and showering by two people (nothing else available) during 5 days with no replacement was … rather insufficient.

The Hotel Jakarta, is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. It's situated not far from Central station, which is a couple of trams or bus stops away, but we chose to walk along the river when we arrived. Check-in was super easy and the staff were really helpful and informative. The hotel interior and design is amazing, with the central vault full of plants and trees and loved the glass walkways taking us over to our room. Our room was stylish, comfortable and super clean. As our trip was to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary, we got a celebration package which included balloons, bubbly, chocolate, baked goods and a kind message from the Jakarta staff! We really liked the balcony, especially as it was so hot during our stay, we kept the door open to the balcony most of the time. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of choice, both cooked and continental options and plenty of seating. We had dinner in the Cafe Jakarta on our anniversary evening, which was superb - the menu has an Indonesian flavour and we enjoyed everything that we ordered. We also enjoyed some delicious cocktails a couple of evenings in the rooftop bar. We only made use of the pool in the spa facilities, which has some additional features of a current stream, a waterfall head and a jet system! The staff throughout the hotel were excellent.

Only a couple of small things noted during our stay. We would've maybe liked an additional chair and maybe a small table on the balcony area, so we could better enjoy it. The ladder into the pool, seemed a little bit loose and creaky. The hotel seems to be popular with cruise ships, which can make the reception very busy at times, particularly in the mornings, with large stacks of suitcases and busy lifts - not a huge problem, we tended to use the lift around at the spa area.

Hotel Jakarta is an amazing hotel to stay at and would definitely recommend it. From start to finish staff were extremely helpful and happy. We were given a very warm welcome and a welcome drink from Tess . When we got to our room there was a lovely note wishing us Happy Anniversary and a bottle of bubble chilling in the fridge for us. The hotel is a little way out of town, but there is a bus stop right outside and the tram is just over the bridge. Breakfast was lovely with all options available. I would like to say a big thank you to the reception Tess, her knowledge and recommendations were spot on, very kind and very very professional !

Nothing, we should have stayed longer!

Hotel Jakarta is an amazing place to stay and would definitely recommend it. From the start of the stay to the finish, everything was perfect. We were given a welcome drink and then when we got the room, there was a lovely note to say that the items in the fridge inc a bottle of prosecco was ours to have complimentary of Diana, the manager of the hotel. The location was a little way out of town, but easily walkalbe (40 mins) and the bus stop was right outside which took you the train station in a few mins if you didn’t feel like walking. There is a gym and pool however the pool is a bit on the cold side! however it was very nice all the same. Breakfast was well done and dinner was also great food. all in all an incredible stay. We will be back!

Pool could have been slightly warmer but I am being picky!

I really like everything, the rooms are big enough, with a balcony, and the huge plants in the hall that make you feel like you are in the forest. The multiple facilities really help to treat and pamper yourself, from the spa, the swimming pool and the gym. I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to extend my stay for an extra night, but unfortunately, I didn’t; being during the weekend, they didn’t have my room available for the extra night; therefore, I had to relocate to a different room and was slightly pricier than I expected.

Because of my late arrival, I struggled to get something to eat or even a bite after 10.30 pm.
