Just a unique and amazing property. Very clean and comfortable. Amazing to be able to step out the door and onto the canal. We loved being able to put our feet in after a long day.

Many thanks to the hosts Vera and Arjan for making us feel at home. The houseboat was outstanding, very well maintained and had all the amenities we needed. There is nothing like having your morning coffee right on the canal with a stunning view. The hosts were very friendly and thoughtful, checked if we needed anything and they even gave us a ride to the supermarket to get our groceries when we first arrived. It was a really great experience for us and we will definitely book again.

The houseboat was really a lovely place, to stay. It was well equipped and very comfortable. The owners live nearby and were very friendly and helpful even taking us to the supermarket to get provisions. The location is excellent and is a lovely quiet place to stay being only 25 mins to central Amsterdam

We could have done with an ironing board at the houseboat as we were on business that was all. There was nothing really that we felt was wrong and we didn't like.

First experience on a houseboat and it was spectacular. The welcoming, comfortable, full optional house. Waking up in the morning and having coffee on the canal, immersed in nature is a wonderful feeling. The place is really beautiful. It can be reached on foot in 15 minutes from the bus stop through a park that is pleasant to walk through and regenerating. Alternatively by car/taxi/bicycle directly in front of the houseboat. Vera and her husband were very helpful and gave us good advice. A fantastic experience.

This house boat is a little but out of the city but worth the distance. It is a unique place to stay. It's clean, spacious and comfortable. The owner popped in a couple of times to check we had everything we needed. It's a walk to the nearest metro station or a taxi/bolt into town. Stayed in December, but I bet it's amazing in the summer! Would definitely recommend.

Loved that the house was on the water and at the end of a beautiful park

The only set back was that we had to walk quite a lot to the ferry and central Amsterdam about 35-40min. The walk is nice though, so it’s not difficult for those who like to walk like us

it’s just a gorgeous place in a lovely location (by woods and water, plenty of wildlife), even better if you rent a bike whilst you’re there; the supermarket is well within walking distance, as is the ferry (free!) but it’s just so much faster to get around on a bicycle, not to mention it being a pleasure to cycle around the surrounding woods. you can also swim in the canal!! and vera let us use her kayaks which was so much fun as well. i honestly can’t come up with any issues i am quite obsessed

It was quiet and a lovely outlook. A 15 minute walk took you to the train station and it was only a couple of stops to Central Station. The hosts could not have been more helpful which we really appreciated.

Beautiful accommodation, the owners were amazing on arrival we were bye the owners shown the houseboat. We were taken to get some shopping, and taken straight back, no rush

The houseboat was wonderful. Vera and her husband friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Vera took us to the local supermarket to shop on the afternoon we arrived which was very helpful. The location in North Amsterdam is a hidden gem. A walk through a park and one metro stop to central station. We took a taxi from the train station when we arrived in Amsterdam but were able to walk and wheel our luggage through the park when it was time to leave. We had a lovely evening having a drink and dinner at Cafe Sluijs which was about 15 minutes walk through very pretty streets. If we had been brave enough we could have paddled the kayaks across the canal to get there. It was actually difficult to leave each day to do our sightseeing. Lots of big windows in the living area with sunshine streaming in each morning. Bedrooms were downstairs so cool and quiet with small high windows. Did I mention the chickens and goats across the road from the boat. A wonderful stay. Highly recommended.

These things did not bother us but there is no freezer in the refrigerator and the stairs down to the bedrooms are relatively steep.
