Wonderful location for a getaway from Amsterdam. Comfortable large room with a nice view and a cute balcony. The bed is extremely comfortable

We have booked the spa barn and were not told in advance that the sauna in the barn was broken and we had to walk to the non-private sauna they have outside. I asked if it would be private still and they said yes but when we still had 30minutes of “our time” there I saw people going to the sauna. I’m not the kind of person to tell people to leave, so I just rolled with it, but I do not think that it’s okay to charge us full price of the spa when it’s not longer private and also not telling us in advance about the sauna being broken. I was really looking to a private experience. Also, all the cups and glasses in the room were really dusty.

The hot tub was great and my kids loved the bunk beds. The beach and lake were also a highlight.

When we arrived one of the chairs at the back of the house had fallen into the bushes. This should have really been picked up by the cleaning team. There were also cigarette buds left in the small fire holder which again should have been cleaned by the cleaners. Small issues that didn't really impact our time but they should be checked more closely.

The place is amazing and makes you feel like you are out of the world in somewhere else. So cozy and charming. The atmosphere makes you feel so relaxed.

The only thing is the lake chalets lacks a door mesh. All the bugs from the lake has entered our place so really we couldn't stay outside and we kept the door closed. Would stay in the other chalets away from the lake. It will be so nice if the management consider that and install a shutter.

The location was not convenient. It was an expensive cab ride to get into central Amsterdam. There was one great restaurant walking distance from hotel but they were closed one of the days we were there and the hotel had very limited food on two of the four days we were there. That being said this is an incredible property. I absolutely loved the rustic Scandinavian design and it was like no place that my family has stayed at. The staff was friendly and when we experienced a major problem with the second cottage they transferred us to another location despite stating that they could not.

The distance initially between the two cabins. Our daughters were in a beautiful but fairly deserted property a half a mile from hotel center. There was a major incident with a car being set on fire yards from where they were staying. The road to this property was dark and not accessible by taxi unless you had the exact address which they did not provide. This seem disorganized. My daughters were horrified when the car was set on fire near the property. The hotel quickly accomodated us with a move closer to the central location. This place is for independent travelers who do not require any coddling.

The kitchen arrangement and fridge provided in each cabin is amazing. I did not want to splurge on food for every meal and this offered me the choice to eat simple at times. And I loved that the coffee maker was available so I could wake up to the smell of coffee every morning. The record player in the room was a very thoughtful touch. The premises are very clean and quiet. The watch dog is super friendly and loves to beg for food but we did not feed him, as instructed. The staff is also very friendly and helpful.

It will be nice to have better lighting on the trails in the property. It did not bother me but just would be even nicer. I took a walk around the property after hours and used my phone light to walk around and see where i was going and better lighting would have been nice.

I liked the scenery, the staff and the quiet location.

the unbound booked us in a separate property, so much of the facilities were not close but we’re still available. spiders were crawling in the cabin. the structure of the cabin seemed to sway with every step of my family. the bathroom has a foul smell, I think there is an issue with the shower drain and the subfloor. when the heater was turned in in the cabin, the bathroom would warm up and smell badly.

This place is beautiful and calm. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. People are very friendly and polite.

They didn’t have bike to rent. Going to the center of the city take 29 minutes on the bikes and the kids loved. We rented them in the City but ideal would be to have few in the hotel. Cleaners forgot to take dirty towers from the cabinet in the bathroom and we didn’t have conditioner. The restaurant was overpriced too.

breakfast was great, very hearty and healthy and they allowed us to swap to scrambled eggs on the 2nd day which was great! Also we took our dog with us who absolutely loved it! They have a dog onsite, Jagger, and they played together the whole time!

there is a guest app website which is great and helps a lot to navigate the property. I would maybe make it a bit clearer on some things, in the app, on what time will breakfast be served as well as specify if it's in the common room or served in the bedroom, if was served in the bedroom and that was amazing! Also, on the app, we booked the sauna but then we had to wait for the confirmation email, and didn't realise this was the case, so always best to check at reception

We absolutely loved staying at The Unbound. It was so relaxing and so interestingly unique. Our only downside was that we did not have more time to enjoy the property as we only had 3 days and we wanted to explore the main parts of Amsterdam. The staff was so friendly and helpful. My kids loved the pond and the hot tub and the big brown dog!! We loved it so much that my husband and I are looking at opening something similar here in the US!! We will definitely be back and will spend more time on the property!!

The amount of time we had to stay!

We felt right into zen mode once arriving here. The spacious room with a bathroom an kitchen with everything you might need, nice light and air coming in trough the big doors, nice views from the room, a beautiful tranquil natural environment we enjoyed a glass of wine on the roofterrace of our room with an amazing view of the area, visited the Spa/Sauna which was excellent, nice restaurant and very friendly staff! Loved staying at the Unbound and I would definitely stay here again!

Regarding the cleanliness, the room/studio WAS clean but there were some area's at the inside of the doors with spider webs and some dust... An area that is clearly missed. Other than that no complaints it was truly wonderful staying here.
