The location is perfect. The room was clean. Staff is kind. You pay at the property. The bed was comfortable. The price is reasonable.
There was only a kettle, no coffee machine in the room. There was shortage of sparkling water, and if, they charge 3,45 Euros for 0,5 liters. The walls are pretty thin, you can hear even the buzzing of your neighbor’s phone, in the morning the door slamming is terrible. Fortunately I had really loud neighbors only on the last day, shouting on the corridor early in the morning.

The location is excellent, every important historical landmark is really close. The historical building has quite a nice atmosphere, with its intricate stairways, pleasant decoration and a great garden.
The building is old, so special (doubled) windows are used, and you cannot open the windows. The internal ventilation system is working efficiently, but it cannot be set, the flow of air can be annoying if you happen to sit/sleep under the ventilation air outlet. You cannot really work on laptop, as there is no suitable table in the room.

Room and facilities exceptional, large comfortable room and bathroom. Very reasonable price. Excellent location in centre of town. Quality of room easily worth suffering the staff for.
Not fault of hotel, the town Leeuwarden so boring, very little choice in lively bars restaurants. I do not recommend it. Hotel staff cold and unwelcoming, like most people in this town !!! Parking complicated and expensive, attitude of hotel staff your problem not ours.

We made a spur-of-the-moment decision to spend the night in Leewarden and we ended sleeping in an astonishing historical building placed in a top location, just a stone's throw away from Leewarden's city center, canals and main tourist spots. The room was spacious, quiet and even had a coffee machine. We also liked the back garden where guests can chill at night. We only had a small issue with the room key but that was promptly solved by the staff at the reception. Overall, it's good value for money!
The carpet had some stains but other than that it seemed pretty clean.

The location if great, in the centre of the city. It was easy to find on our bike tour. The bike storage facilities were great, an underground garage across the other side of the square. The room was huge. I think I have never been in a bigger hotel room ever. There was just a Velux window, so no view.
The building is an old historical one and it's like traversing a rabbit warren finding your room. We had 7 bike bags and a battery to carry and needed a few trips from reception through the "warren". Thankfully there was a lift to our 5th floor room.

I had 3 wonderful nights in room number 10 with balcony and view of Hofplein. The room was spotless clean, looks like it has been renovated recently. Loved the historic features of the old palace and the garden. Centrally located, I explored the town, the park and the canals easily. As a travel advisor, this hotel would be one of my top recommendations.
I would suggest larger size of bath towels

The location, the wonderful breakfast and importantly the greeting at reception. It was just before midday when we arrived with our bicycles because of the forecast of rain all afternoon. There was no problem at all in finding us a room already cleaned and allowing us an early check-in. It worked out alright for them as we enjoyed the bar all afternoon, watching the pouring rain!
The room was small and on the ground floor close to the bar bistro so people were walking past our door noisily all evening and early in the morning

A nice, roomy room and a comfortable bed with a water heater (but there was only coffee and black tea, nothing like green tea or something herbal.) Great breakfast.
The light in the bathroom switched on with a movement detector, so you can't switch it on or off yourself. I really didn't like that because going to the toilet in the middle of the night meant getting a full blast light in your face....

The location was excellent and the staff incredibly helpful and nice. The palace is being renovated so there was some construction materials but we were never bothered by them or by noise.
The bathroom light is an automatic bright light. If you need to go to the WC in the middle of the night you become awake pretty quickly with such a light. I would prefer to have the option of turning the light on and off.

The room was pretty decent and well equipped for two persons. Including coffee and tea facilities in the room and a vending machine with snacks and drinks quite close to the room. The building has lots of character and breaths history
The beds and pillows were a bit soft (guess that is a matter of preference) and the floor above our room was creaking a lot when the upstairs resident moved around.
