Vintage aesthetic, large room, many mirrors, nice bathroom, modern check-in and door system. Sometimes we needed to wait a little longer for the water to turn hot, but eventually it was steaming, so everything worked! Zoe at the front desk was very kind and helpful. Offered early check-in since the room was ready, provided everything we needed. On the day of our checkout we left our luggage at the lobby and later they responded quickly via WhatsApp to arrange the pickup, offering much flexibility. The location was also perfect for reaching trains or sights.

Good location. Good communication, super flexible with the arriving time, it was easy to use the key. Nice bathroom, I loved it. Big space in the room.

For me the bed wasn't the conveniest one, but quiet okay... I would have appreciated a bigger mug, and one more in the room for tea. (There was only one small cup for coffee, but we wanted to drink tea, while the weather was cold).

The location

The television did not work. The one particular staff member really tried her best but could not get it to work. You would think this would have been addressed prior to check in or I would have been informed on check in. The kettle was dirty on the inside so I didn’t bother with the coffee/tea inside the room. The pillows and beds were uncomfortable. They weren’t proper double beds, just two singles put together. One single was okay and the other one had a dip and was well-worn. This made it hard to find that sweet spot to sleep comfortably in.

Facilities & interior

The customer service, i dont like when things are online, i dont like people i dont know texting me on whatsapp for services, i find it impersonal and in someway intrusive. I prefer 1 to 1 interactions in person. A reception to go to and to be welcomed by an actual person. When we arrived there was no one and i was a bit confused of the whole system. The messaging on whatsapp in the morning that we had to depart was not so good, i just wanted to rest and not be receiving messages from the reception of the hotel.

The location is great. The building and the rooms represent beautiful Dutch architecture. It is spacious, comfortable.

For the breakfast they did not have on the day I was there the eggs. One hotel should not allow itself not to have the eggs for the breakfast. The good food influences our mood :). I needed an iron, but it’s buttom was dark black carbonated. It would destroy the clothes. That iron should be cleaned or replaced before offering it to the guests. The personnel was very nice, however these two points (that are easy to correct), influenced me to give you a mark 9 instead of 10.

The staff were incredibly helpful, before arrival I requested a room with a working fridge and TV which were delivered and later an extension and a later check out time which were provided with no problem. The bathroom and bed were very comfortable and we had a happy stay. The location is incredible with shops/train/tram stations all within a 5 minute walk. Will be staying here again.

Great central location easy walk from Centraal. Had a very warm welcome on arrival from a very helpful chap who upgraded our room. Lovely building inside too. Didn’t opt for breakfast as no idea what price it was and so many great cafes around.

Room felt a little tired - cups were dirty so could do with a bit of attention to detail. Good size bathroom and shower. It did feel a bit less like a hotel and more like an air bnb as we didn’t see anyone and the bar was shut at 10 when the front door shut but that was fine for us.

Hotel was close to restaurants and very convenient for public transport which was 5 minutes walk. Stall were helpful and made sure the room was ready when I got there. I needed 2 extra days but as hotel was booked I got 1 extra which was no hassle.

I really liked the location. It is close to everything you need, from transportation to restaurants and places to visit.

It wasn't easy to contact the staff of the hotel when I needed to solve problems with the update in my reservation.

Beautiful old but restored building with high ceilings and a really comfortable bed. The bathroom shower area was new and spacious and gave a choice of how to shower (rain or handheld).

The tv wasn’t hooked up to anything. A small desk to work at would have been nice.
