What an absolutely beautiful hotel. The room was outstanding. Free parking on site meant the car felt safe etc and only two minutes walk from an absolutely delightful little town . It was a shame we were only there the one night. As a negative, the breakfast was insanely expensive, however it was a Mother’s Day treat so we did pay, and whilst the service was excellent I probably would just wander into town to one of the many gorgeous looking cafes and restaurants. We didn’t arrive in time for an evening meal but I would imagine this would have been very much fine dining . The hotel is adjacent a park with a lovely terrace overlooking it . It wasn’t quite warm enough during our stay to eat outside, but I would love to go back in the summer . Highly recommend.

The hotel is located in a charming village next to The Hague, in the middle of a park, in an old building, actually a mansion. The building was in good shape, although the elevator was not conveniently situated for many of the (most?) rooms. The staff was very helpful to move our luggage. The room was spacious ("executive suite") located just above the entrance looking over the park. The floor of the room was somewhat noisy and the bed shook every time one of us walked in the room. Beds were soft for my needs, but perfect for my wife! Actually the hotel is located in the middle of a park which is worth a walk. Canals and boats are part of it! Parking was no problem in a lot situated right next to the building, which was still public parking, serving the visitors who enjoyed the park. They have a 1-star Michelin restaurant on premises. We had lunch there on the first day of our stay. They were kind to serve us after hours, as the restaurant closes at 2pm. The food was OK and extremely expensive. We chose to dine somewhere else in the neighborhood on the following days. A very short walk takes you to the village center where you can find a groceries store and several restaurants; we tried The Cupola and like it; only 3 min walk from the hotel. Breakfast was served in a separate room on weekdays and in the restaurant on the weekend. It WAS served, not self-serve, which was a nice touch. Breakfast was adequate, therefore we did not chose the upgraded version. Again, the staff was very accommodating. They even offered turndown service. Water was provided in the room every day. We skipped room service on one of the days, but water was still provided by the person who did the turndown. Overall, our stay was very pleasant but the accommodation was overpriced.

The building is charming but dated, with squeaky floors and an elevator that serves very few if anybody? The restaurant was pretentious but unimpressive. We only had lunch there. We've dined at 1-star Michelin restaurants before which we liked.

Everything was exceptional! We arrived and the hotel had parking on the premises. The hotel is beautiful and has a stunning large garden. The room was renovated with a more modern feel but original parts of the structure were preserved e.g large wooden beams which really gave the hotel character. We had a beautiful view over a lake. The staff provided the best customer service I have experienced in my whole life. Everything from greeting us on arrival to serving the food. We celebrated our civil ceremony at this hotel and the private dining room was stunning and perfect for the occasion. The food was incredible and one member of our party said it was the best meal he had in his entire life. It was truly an experience. We had a champagne reception and a 5 course taster menu - everything was exceptional. The wine was also incredible. The real star of the show though was our server who was so attentive. The breakfast the next morning was also incredible. I would really recommend to treat your self to the bigegr selection option. We were all blown away. We couldnt recommend this place more and we will definitely come back. We now recommend this place to everyone we know.

There was nothing to even remotely dislike. It was all excellent

I highly recommend this place. We stay in room 14. Very clean and very professional. Excellent breakfast. Nice walking grounds and short work to some shopping areas. Very accommodating staff and friendly. Elevator on the property for those with baggage or vertigo from stairs. Beautiful dining room. Lounge/bar room which I did not partake but did walkthrough.

There was some pulsing of water pressure in the shower and the temperature would cool then get very hot then go back to normal temp. Happened every minute or so.

The room was very spacious and the amenities were lovely. Loved the artisan soap and the little fruit basket. the hotel is next to a small park with a lovely brook. on Saturday morning there is a street market right in front of the hotel.

my room was a little removed from the elevator and it required to climb narrow stairs with a suitcase.

I can't say enough positive things about the Relais. Every bit of the environment & ambiance was beautiful and relaxing. Food was fantastic, the bed was astonishingly comfortable. And the staff was hands down the most hospitable I have ever experienced. Christian, Michel and Elizabeth were beyond accommodating and went out of their way to insure my stay was enjoyable. They even took the time to sit and inquire about my travels and really were fantastic about answering questions and offering advice and suggestions. The best stay I've ever had. I honestly did not want to leave!

The hotel is charming and the room extremely comfortable. All staff were great. "normal" breakfast was nice and it was more than enough for us. The bed was super comfortable and also the restaurant was really nice (they recently got 1 Michelin star). Location is not in the city centre but easy accessible by bus or train. Also there are nice café, bars, restaurants and parks in the neighbourhood

Nothing really. Only the TV did not have international channels (or at least I could not find them) but that was not an issue as we do not watch much TV anyway.

This is a Relais & Chateaux property family owned and operated in a super fine upper class residential neighbourhood. Park and canal nearby. Very close to The Hague. Excellent restaurant for evening.

Be sure to decide on your breakfast option to avoid disappointment. There are two breakfast options: standard and "de luxe" which we have not been informed about at check-in. As a result we have received the standard option and been watching other guests indulging in champagne.

Very pleasant, nice hotel - Easy check-in and greeted with a smile - Well appointed room with a beautiful view on the park. Room service breakfast was complementary and on time.. very much appreciated. No fuss, just very nice for the short stay I had.

Very nice bedding quality but was completely wrong for the season.. very fluffy bed with very heavy duvet and sheets. This would be wonderful in winter but it was all a bit too soft and cushy for my taste.

Amazing place, I assume that this place was a mansion. Located in a middle of green park, the neighborhood arownd the hotel is quiet and can be a great escape out of buisy city ritm. The place looks and feels really fantastic. Recommended to all kind of travelers single and families. The rooms clean, and the resvise is just amazing.

Lack of elevator is a small disadvantage of this hotel. The stairs will be a big issue for people with strollers and handicap persons. The bad was to soft for me, but it is a personal preference, so just keep it in mind.
