The lady in arrival was very helpful and being able to use the laundry was a bonus. Also the small kitchen which came in really handy. Only small (we were 3 adults), 2 single beds in the lounge and a queen in the bedroom. The two no recliners were comfy and my brother used a single thing to be able use Netflix on the tv. We did find this in a lot of the motels that we needed a thingy to be able to access our apps. Not a major though. Also great Chinese (looks dodgy) but was great! Tip… cash only. We also had a good meal at the Waterloo hotel (walking distance) not flash but great staff and we enjoyed our very reasonably priced meals. Also two very cute dogs waiting for their owner to come home across the road. We could see them in the window 😂

Very close to main road so can be noisy in the lounge. Bedroom not so much.

Carisbrook Motel is a classic Kiwi motel in a quieter area of town - away from 'Scarfie-land' - which still affords easy access to airport, South Dunedin, city, and North Dunedin as needed. Although older, it is a goody of a motel. We had two bedrooms, ample living space, plus the benefit of a classic kitchen with a traditional oven. Really helped us when cooking our meals in the unit. The hosts were extremely helpful, and I really enjoyed them providing me a copy of the ODT newspaper each morning of our stay.

An excellent hideaway, from the hassle and bustle of the City, with off street parking outside your room, situated below road level, made the area very quiet, two separate rooms one bedroom and combined lounge with extra beds with kitchen and bathroom adjoined, all kitchen facilities well maintained, and stocked., a great home away from home.

the Main South Railway line is not to far away on a grade heading to Cavershum, so you can expect a little noise from the few passing trains during the night, might need ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.

Very friendly welcome and lots of help offered when we needed it. NIce comfortable unit with all the facilities we needed. The location was very handy for our arrival from Central Otago , trips up the Otago Peninsular and our return to Dunedin Airport. A trip into the city was easy by bus with a stop literally two minutes walk away. The lovely St Clair beach is also just a few minutes drive away.

Super apartment in a quiet part of South Dunedin. Easy to get from here to anywhere in town/on the peninsula by car. Loads of room, great cooking facilities, really comfy beds, good shower, everything super clean and tidy. We loved our 3 night stay at Carisbrook Motel, and felt we could come and go from early morning to late at night without disturbing anyone. The apartment is routinely cleaned and towels/kitchen cloths are replaced on a daily basis, so make sure you let Mike & Ros know if you don't need this service! Excellent value for money.

Please could you add wooden spoons and spatulas to the kitchen utensils?!

We had a wonderful stay at this motel. The host was friendly and welcoming, and the room was warm, spacious, and ideal for our group. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the shower had fantastic water pressure. Overall, this motel offers excellent value for money. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dunedin, and we’ll definitely stay here again!

While the shower wall had some peeling, it was a minor issue that didn’t significantly impact our stay.

Spacious and clean room with comfortable beds. Kitchenette is well equipped but the electric kettle needs to be cleaned. Also a sponge should be provided for cleaning of kitchen utensils and crockery Free use of laundry facilities is much appreciated as well Overall, a pleasant and comfortable stay

The location was central. There was a lot of space, a full kitchen with oven and bathroom with separate toilet room. Like a 2 bedroom flat. It was very cheap for what it provides.

Nothing really. Decor is older style. In the twin bedroom the traffic noise was occasionally loud as a truck went past and there were a few trains in the night that must have been nearby.

The facilities were excellent, along with a free laundromat as well as being very handy to the city. Could not fault the accommodation. The gentleman and his wife were very helpful with suggestions around the area. Would highly recommend this accommodation.

Good facilities in the unit, on line it said microwave but I was very surprised to find the unit I was giving had a full kitchen and seperate bedroom.

Parking was off site and on a Main Street. When booking I was asked if I wanted off street parking on Motel site to which I said yes.
