Very comfortable bed, which is pretty important to me as I travel a lot. Under cover car park was also very handy and convenient. The room was nicely appointed and was just across the road from the beach. My room had a bath which was nice to relax in. Comfortable couch.

My room key did not work and I got stuck in the car park, luckily another guest let me in and said she had had the same issue, then it did not work again when I got to my room. The staff did come and let me in and the card seemed to work after that. No milk in my room so I had to ask for that. The tv was very small and was not a smart tv, which I would expect these days for the price of the room. It was comfortable, but I guess the price was for the location.

We loved the location so close to the sea. The opening doors onto the balconies from the bed area and the living space enhanced the feeling of being at the beach, the fresh air, the smell of the sea and sound of the waves were a real bonus. The room was spacious and being able to create different zones by dividing the bed area off by sliding doors and curtains gave it added privacy and a more apartment like feel. The bath was a plus. The staff were friendly and responsive. A great stay.

The bar fridge was either too cold or not cold enough.

The view and the location. We dined at both Titi’s and the Esplanade during our stay with two breakfasts at Long Dog. Being able to walk everywhere easily was great.

We left a vase full of beautiful flowers. Once I realised, I called and the flowers and vase had been thrown out! Surely I could have received a call and I would have come back immediately (I was just in Long Dog before travelling home to Seacliff). They were a birthday gift from my husband ($50 from Fallow & Fox)so it did tarnish our special birthday weekend stay a bit 😔

First of all, the price is definitely worth it for this hotel! While on the high side, the location is stunning; basically right on the water, steps from the wall along the esplanade. Our room was on the side but from the balcony could see right to the water. Staff was friendly. Boutique hotel feeling. The bed was THE comfiest bed I think I have ever stayed in. Room was clean, kitchenette so nice to have, and large bathtub. Was also nice and quiet. Can’t say enough good things about this hotel!

Absolutely nothing.

Amazing location, fabulous staff - we had some last minute uncertainty & changes, and the staff we incredibly helpful, can't speak highly enough. The beds were incredibly comfortable too!! Loved the location, right on the beach and near many food choices.

The only odd think was that the shower glass/walls didn't reach the ground (like a 1 inch gap) so there was always flooding, which wasn't my favourite thing. But everything else was wonderful and the shower itself was great, amazing water pressure.

You cannot beat this stunning location, it trumps everything. The ocean is stunning, the hotel is clean and comfortable.

I booked a month in advance and requested rooms next to each other, when I checked in the rooms were on seperate floors! The receptionist was lovely and rang her manager to request upgrading us to be near each other, this meant although I had booked two ocean view rooms one now had a view of a carpark and a bit of ocean, but was bigger and had a balcony so I guess it evened out, the other room had no balcony and it does say there are two with, two without and it is first in first served, however I did book a month in advance and was surprised not to get one. We have stayed here three times now but there was no recognition of that which is a bit disappointing. Otherwise the location makes it worth while!

The room felt luxurious. The carpet was very soft. Chairs were very comfortable, lovely sturdy table and nice bench space. Loved having a bath and the shower pressure was excellent. Loved the view from the room and having parking underneath. Was lovely being right next to the lovely restaurant.

The bathroom door wouldn't stay shut unless you slammed it. The toilet buttons were extremely hard to press down. The heat pump made a weird static noise during the night. The coffee cups were small and different shapes which seemed odd.

The location overlooking the sea is fabulous, and the main selling point of the hotel. The apartment rooms were spacious and generally well appointed. Underfloor heating in the bathroom a bonus. Double-glazing kept out street noises but we could still hear the muffled comforting sound of the sea. Parking onsite another bonus.

Because we needed an extra bed, I asked for a rollaway bed to be placed in the room. It was sagging, a paper-thin mattress, so hard and uncomfortable that I ended up sleeping on the couch. We couldn't wash dishes because of no washing-up liquid in the bottle, we had only one small soap, and 1 extra toilet roll. These are just small matters, but they count in a place advertised as 'luxurious'. Parts of apartment getting a little tired on it from wear and tear, but no real distraction from the benefits of the accommodation.

It was a comfortable studio apartment. There were two restaurants in the hotel (one open for breakfast and lunch and the other open for dinner). The restaurant open for breakfast and lunch gave a 10% discount if you were staying in the hotel. There were other restaurants just down the street as well. The promenade and beach were right across from the hotel. The beach was a nice long one too. They also had on site parking that was free. The Octagon was less than 15 minutes by car and Larnach Castle on the Otego Peninsula was 20 minutes away. We enjoyed our stay there very much!

We have no complaints.

Spent quite a bit of time in my late teens and earlier in St Clair and then 7 years ago worked on the building down the road and thought next time I’m here I’m going to book in there. Your place. So I did it was fantastic the views to die for. I had 2 different apartments on different nights, they both had a lot to offer. The big room was very cool. The beds were so comfortable. Really enjoyed it, thankyou.

The only thing is the showers, how the water runs outside all over the floor.
