Staff were all very good and friendly making you feel they wanted to help, not that they had to help. I think the hotel in general was well kept and clean. We had bereakfast their which we really enjoyed.

Just the two things I can think off. In the room there is a menu which also has room service options so we naturally thought that this was the returant menu. When we got to the casino resturant we were told that that menu was for another resturant - all semed a bit confusing and if there is a critisism about the casino resturant I would rate the menu as very basic and the food as pretty ordinary. Biggest initial concern was whne we got to our room there was a welcome card for a Mr Buchanan (not us) and a hotel swip card in the door which made us a bit unsure about the room, somehow expecting Mr Buchanan to arrive at some time. However we were told that that was our room and there had obviuosly been a bit of a mix up.

The staff were uniformly friendly, competent and helpful. The room was quiet and roomy enough. The heater worked well, but the controls were not easily comprehensible. The breakfast was ample, the toasting machine actually did its job, and the breakfast space was pleasant. The parking was convenient, and the location within walking distance of just about everything we wanted to see in downtown Dunedin. The blankets were the best we've experienced on our trip so far: light and warm.

The hotel is a bit run-down, the carpet doesn't come right up to the bathroom threshold in our room (675), there aren't enough outlets to easily charge all devices, it could use an update. You have to climb into a bathtub to use the shower, and though there are grab bars in the tub, there isn't one at the point where you have to climb out, not optimal for older people.

It was a one night stay! The room was small but had everything you needed in it. The heater on the wall did the job of keeping us warm. Hotel is in a central location and is next door to the Casino in Dunedin. There is a restaurant a couple of doors down from hotel where we had a beautiful meal. You didn't need to book. At the end of a very long day, the receptionists were just very cheerful and helpful.

Not much! If I was staying a longer time I would have upgraded our room to make it a little bigger. Parking is a bit of an issue, we were lucky enough to get a park within the grounds.

Everything was good. The 5 min drop-off at the front was great. The staff were warm with their welcome and processed our check in quickly and easy. The room was clean and tidy and was serviced every day. Good value. Well done!

It was right in the city centre with its own car park at extra nominal cost. Several very good cafes within 200yds for breakfast, with one just over the road. Lots of restaurants also nearby for dining. Moons 300mtrs. has a weekly quiz night and live music. An easy walk to most of the in town attractions.

Staff are friendly and helpful. We had a standard twin room which was spacious and warm - the bathroom was on the small side but OK. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We paid the room rate that included the buffet breakfast - this was great, lots of options including gluten free (my daughter is Coeliac so the fact they had a separate toaster for the gluten free bread was awesome). Close to town and easy to get to.

Parking system is a bit haphazard - left to go to out for dinner and returned to a sign saying the carpark was full despite paying for parking - managed to squeeze into a double park but meant someone could come and park me in, if I was in a larger vehicle we would have had nowhere to go. Spaces should be allocated when you pay. No electric blankets on the beds.

Tidy spacious room with good amenities at the hotel like gym, restaurant etc. It’s close to town but not too noisy at night.

The rubbish bins didn’t have bin liners/plastic bags in. The person I went up with in another room had the same issue and I went down to reception to ask for plastic bags. She took my room number said she would get onto house keeping but they never came. I had to put things like used teabags in just an empty plastic bin so it must have been harder and unpleasant for housekeeping to clean

Breakfast was ok , very pleased with gluten options with toast and separate toaster. Also helpful identifying items on cooked menu that were gluten free . Not sure if there was GF cereals. Also not able to have breakfast on Sunday morning which was included in my booking as I needed to catch shuttle for my flight at 7.15, only opened at 7 , not time to eat .

Great family bedroom, Comfortable beds, Cute kitchenette, great views and perfect location. I have ordered room service for dinner and the food was absolutely delicious and not overpriced. Very happy.

Bathroom/Toilet area must have been cleaned with a dirty mob because it smelled not pleasant. Other than that it was clean. Not the best water pressure. But Toiletries were great very nice quality shampoo and body wash.

The view from our room was beautiful, the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Staff at reception are warm and welcoming. Next time I'll be sure to have the breakfast at the restaurant as it smelt delicious.

I didn't realize the carpark closed at 11pm, returned just after and had to park on street. Had I known I would have tried to return earlier or not paid for parking.

The location was very central, the staff professional and helpful and the room was a decent size for a central location. The lobby and restaurant were nice. It was also quiet, our room being at the back of the building rather than overlooking the street.

Being so central, the hotel didn't offer any views - our room overlooked the car park - but it was an acceptable trade-off to be close to all the bars and restaurants. The corridors to the rooms could do with some refreshing.
