The unit had everything they we needed. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had been renovated, plenty of crockery, cutlery, pans, pots, toaster, jug, two burner hot plate and microwave. Everything was clean and tidy. We could park the car under cover right outside our unit which was great as it rained overnight. Would definitely recommend as a great place to stay.

The reception was very welcoming. The apartment rooms were delightfully spacious, very clean and well presented. Everything worked and there were some thoughtful and useful touches. It is a couple of Kms out from the town centre of Franz Josef, just over the river bridge going north. When we arrived the weather and vista of the mountains was moody and formidable, swirling with low clouds and mist. The following morning, the glacier was illuminated by the morning sun, enabling a great photo of the glacier from the apartment frontage. (See photo) A bonus is being able to reverse the car under the wide verandah of the apartment frontage, so loading/unloading will always be in the dry. Will make this motel my first go-to booking choice for a glacier stay

Lovely location! Very clean and very friendly/helpful staff. The motel itself is a little on the dated side, however, it was impeccably clean, safe, had everything that we needed and was good value for money.

The motel has a lovely view to the snow topped mountains and was situated just out of town, so was very quiet. This is an older motel but our living room, bedroom and bathroom were spacious. The kitchenette was adequately equipped. The owner was quick to assist us with a TV glitch. There is a generous overhang where the car is parked.

The mattress sank towards the middle with two people on it and the pillows weren't comfortable.

The manager was very friendly and very prompt attending to our requests. The motel is an older building and looks a bit tired, but everything was comfortable , the rooms spacious enough, cooking facilities adequate. Beds comfy enough.

The outside appearance lacks appeal. The gardens are in need of maintenance and the buildings could do with a coat of paint.

Our first impression was that the place was a bit run down but the view of the glacier made up for any lack of outdoor care. The room was very nice (2 rooms), clean and comfortable. We stayed 2 nights and liked that we were out of the town noise (helicopters) and crowds.

The grounds were not as nice as they could have been. No flowers in pots and weeds in gardens and driveway.

Stephen was exceptionally helpful , several times he went above and beyond what was usual, So he gave us more milk to save us a trip to the supermarket shortly after arrival. Also he sorted out our TV problems immediately, making a special trip when he was already very busy.

Very helpful staff, we were met and greeted on arrival, and nothing was too much trouble - very happy to stay here and to recommend to others

... Previous reviews complained about the WiFi.... No it wasn't great, but then you're in the middle of a mountain range / valley, so surely only to be expected...🤷
