The room was lovely and plenty of space. Having a separate bedroom was good and black out blinds were excellent. Facilities in room in were good. Easy access to town, which was great too. The only disappointment was the view from the room. I expected a "water front" view, but mainly saw our car park, rubbish bins and the back of another building. i could see sections of the bay either side of that. Nice little veranda to sit on and read, but would have been nice to have a better view. This was on groundfloor, i assume an upstairs apartment would be better, so ask for that.

Beautiful apartment full kitchen separate lounge and bedroom both with balcony overlooking the waterfront walking distance to cafes. Also a really nice welcome. I loved the history of the house going back to the first early settlers who built it 1903.

could do with a HRV system lot of condensation and cold in the morning took a long time for it to clear up even with windows and door open. I don,t think it would be a problem in the summer months probably a nice cool apartment with the high ceilings.

Nice sized rooms, well appointed, rustic but with some quality furnishings, great views over the estuary, handy to shopping and food and coffee! The fish n chips shop/restaurant did great FnCs. The hosts were friendly and helpful with some advice on local attractions etc. Would love to visit again in the summer when it's a bit warmer and drier!

From an outsiders point of view the street appeal is a bit lacking, tired looking. Needs some titivating. Some of the window fittings needed attention to reduce drafts.

Our host was a blast. Fun, responsive and had great tips for where to eat, recommendations of what to eat and where to go and things to see in the region. Our accom was stunning. The day bed on the verandah was well used and the bed so comfy. The accom felt luxurious and the view amazing to unwind at the end of the day on the verandah. There is no air con but we took a fan with us after reading some of the reviews. Local eateries were great and coopers beach just up the road is beautiful. Great place to base yourself to explore the North (Bay of islands day trip, Cape Reinga day trip, plethora of beautiful beaches up North as well)

Beautiful well appointed apartment looking straight out into the bay. Comfortable and right above. Jesses which makes the best ever lamb pizza. Just the best relaxation weve had for ages. A walk along the parade takes you to all the shops and resturants if you need them. 10 minutes from Hihi beach and also coopers is 5mins away

The accommodation was stunning—an enormous, beautifully decorated, stylish apartment with everything spotlessly clean. The hosts were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We were extremely satisfied with our stay and were genuinely saddened that we couldn’t stay longer. If we visit New Zealand again, we will definitely return and stay here. Once again, we thank the hosts for everything they did for us. We highly recommend this accommodation to everyone.

Our apartment was Whitu. The room was fresh, clean a had an awesome view out the dining and living room french doors that open on to a private verandah which had a table, 2 chairs and a dbl couch/bed for lounging. Beautiful view across the harbor. Well appointed apartment. Perfect for a relaxing getaway. Cafés, restaurants, a Whiskey and Wine Bar, great Local Pub with a sports bar ... 4 Square, all within 3-5 minute stroll from apartment. Locals pleasant and helpful. Erika was a wonderful host .. thank you! Perfect place to stay if visiting Kaitia, Far North, Cape Reinga area. You will not be disappointed. We will be back😊 Photos of apartment were 100% on point.

Absolutely NOTHING!

Great location. Heritage style, but very comfortable room. Steep driveway in, but close to all facilities. Good range of eating establishments. We chose the "Mangonui Hotel" the most northern pub in N.Z. great fish and chip meal, good range of beer. The local Macaw entertained the customers. The gift shop had a good range of products and delightful staff.

What a lovely place with lovely staff! I stayed in a one bedroom apartment which had a view from the patio out over the water. The unit was spacious and immaculately clean. A well appointed kitchen that even had an oven. Excellent water pressure in the shower and great wi-fi. Close to everything that Mangonui has to offer - shops, cafes, waterfront walkway and the famous fish shop. Also within an easy drive is the beautiful Karikari peninsula. Highly recommended!
