Room is very comfortable and spacious, nice view of the garden and full of birdsong, especially in the morning. Staff was very helpful and nice

Because I had a 10 day stay, I would have liked if the room had maybe an electric hob or maybe some cooking facilities for guest that are in the rooms. But I understand this is normally a vacation spot for short stays. If the rooms around are in use, sometimes it can be a bit noisy, especially if the shower in the room upstairs gets used or people walk around. I was woken up every morning by the guy upstairs who got up at 6:30 and walked around and showered

Everything was fine, but in the off-peak period one cannot expect the usual late opening of the bar, breakfast etc. As my daughter lives very close this was not a problem, there is a good cafe about five minutes walk away in snells Beach, and on the odd times I met the staff they were very helpful. Overall, everyting was fine, and I will stay thre again on my next visit.

Difficult to say, as everything was as expected. for a hotel in the off-season i was pleased.

Nice location and handy to shops. And pub right there . Location of units from pub nicely spaced to ensure noise from pub at night not impacting on the motel occupants too much. Reception were helpful in solving an issue we had for an electrical extension lead we needed for the fan supplied in the room.

No telephone handset connection to reception. If you want to ask / request something for the room...walk the walk (only 100 metres). No interaction with management before 12 noon. What happens if you need something in the morning from 7am to 10 am before you check out? Furniture and decor ex 80's or 90's perhaps . Only air con is a fan purchased about the same time the motel was open .Conclusion If it's not broken, don't update or replace it. Absolutely no shelfing or space to place toiletries bag other than on the bathroom floor. Don't they realise guests need to shave, shower, and do other ablutions with "stuff we bring along"?

This motel styled after Old English hotels is attractive and very roomy, with every possible drawer, and hook we could need. Plus the bed was very comfortable. and huge king size. A Bonus was the back door opening onto a lawn and garden and as it was hot summer weather we could open that as well as the double doors in the front for a lovely breeze. Another bonus is of course the old style English pub and restaurant on the property with reasonable prices and a good menu.. a short walk to shops and downstairs units.

Clean, comfy, warm. Had what I needed for my stay. Bed was comfy, lots of choice of pillows from soft to firm ones. Bonus having Netflix on the TV to browse and watch. Didn't visit beach, even though it was close by (very short car ride) as it was very stormy weather.

Didn't like the plastic tablecloths covering the coffee and dining tables, just a bit cheap looking. I know they were there to protect the surfaces but some nice cloth runners/placemats would look better. Even with instructions on how to operate the TV and remotes, it was tricky to get it working, but got there in the end. And it would be an idea to get the cleaners to sometimes check the inside of the kettles as the one in my room benefitted from a good wipe out before I used it.

Nice big two room apartment. Only here for one night. Nice and warm, comfortable beds. Soft linen and fluffy towels. Good location near snells beach, the pub was close enough but not noisy. Good food and drink. Also close to matakana for all the wineries and famous market (get a bacon sandwich and coffee - delicious!) Lovely staff. Pet friendly too which was a huge bonus for us

The bathroom was a little run down and our spa bath didn't seem to be working, plus some issues with hot water in the shower. Carpets probably need redoing as a bit tired. Only have a microwave for cooking if your planning on staying for long

- Bathroom was dated but very clean -comfy bed -working Wi-Fi - meals from the bar available to order when it was open with some decent specials - check in was easy, parking, kitchenette good. -would definitely say there again. - a few minutes from Snell's beach, shops, liquor store. - easy drive to warkworth, matakana, Omaha, Leigh, etc.

- one can see right through the windows of the ground floor rooms while walking nearby; unless you close curtains.... So maybe a little tint on the windows would be good. - some shady characters seen lurking near the car parking by the flowerpots looking for discarded cigarette stubs - maybe make the carpets on upstairs unit a bit thicker. Could hear them footsteps everytime. (might be the guests being noisy themselves...donno)

The Inn provides roomy comfortable accommodation, convenient parking and the dinner was good. The only issue is the bathroom which needs to be upgraded to suit the rest of the unit. The bathroom was clean and a good size but the fixtures and fittings were more in keeping with a large commercial washroom, unsuitable for this accommodation. The gardens are lovely and it looked a bit like a tea estate built high in mountains of India.

Location. Very good for breaking a journey when travelling north from Auckland. Right next to the Inn for food and drink. Quiet location. 24hr Laundromat just next to the property. Supermarket 5 minutes away Huge comfortable beds and great pillows. Kitchenette with toaster,microwave, fridge etc.

The bathroom could do with upgrading, having said that It was all very clean and worked fine and the stay was good value for money

We stayed here in order to catch the morning ferry to Kawau island so the location is ideal. We liked the fact that the accommodation area was separate from the building housing the bar and restaurant so it was quiet. It had free off street parking. It is close to the nearby shopping parade for groceries, takeaway fish and chips and similar. But we chose to eat at the Salty Dogs restaurant and bar.

I have some walking disability so in the wet shower room (which was good as no ledge to step over to get in the shower) I would have liked to see both a grab rail to hold on to plus a non slip shower mat.
