We loved our beach facing 1 bedroom room. It was very clean, modern and comfortable. Well appointed with kitchen equipment/utensils and lots of plug points in all the right places for charging devices. The beachfront cafe/restaurant was lovely. The perfect location to explore from Mangonui to Kari Kari Peninsula. Stunning beaches and resort pool and its surrounding area was lovely.

We cannot fault our stay, but if I was to give a small critique it would be that some areas of the building could be freshened up, and attention to detail in cleaning outside of the showers along the tracks should be given to prevent build up over time.

Location was amazing, walk 100mtrs to the beach. Pub just down the street with a bakery across the road. Restaurant on site and a coffee cafe too. We had the pool view room which was lovely and there is a spa pool as well.

When we came home later (at 6pm) there were no carparks left. It was filled up with people coming to the restaurant. We had to park on the street, then at 10pm my husband went out and moved the car back into the resort carpark. We are paying for accommodation. I think there should be reserved parking for accommodation and make the restaurant diner's park outside on the road.

Wonderful location and the restaurant/cafe made full use of the views right across the beach and doubtless bay. Our room very spacious and comfortable. Staff were excellent. When I came up with a couple of queries issues were dealt with immediately. Eg I asked at reception for a non slip shower mat. I had a coffee and then returned to my room to find a shower mat had been delivered and put in place. Eg2 I said I liked the variety of teas and coffees in the room but pity no hot chocolate. When I got back to my room four sticks of instant hot chocolate had been delivered. I liked the outdoor spa free to use(lovely), ample off road car parking, our patio opened onto lawn facing the sea.

I absolutely love the location!! The resteraunt has decent food as we had breakfast included, but the ability to cook when we needed to was such a good bonus with a handy kitchen. I mainly interacted with the arvo staff, so friendly and accommodating.

My only actual gripe was that there was no clarity about our prepaid breakfasts. I asked the young dude at the resteraunt about it (who was kind of unsure) I aslo asked another staff member who said something else and then at check out the receptionist still ended up charging me for things I thought were included. I don't want to dis anyone about it, but I would get better clarity around things next time.l..and i'll defintely be back.

Staff at reception Awesome, Especially Abby who was always helpful with a smile. Excellent clean, comfortable room. Appreciate getting milk in a bottle when you check in. Restaurant of site. Close to Cape Reinga so you can do a day trip to visit. Staff and Chef who worked on Wed 6 November 2024 in the restaurant were awesome. Staff were attentive and friendly. Chef's food was yummy and delicious.

The swimming pool was closed for all 3 days that I stayed. Chemical Cleaning was the reason given. Thursday, ordered the same meal, I had on Wednesday in the restaurant. It was completely different and served on a wooden board instead of a plate that I had the previous evening. Also, they had run out of rum and coke and sprite. So had my meal without the drinks. Taipa Bottle store is 2 minutes down the road. A homeless person lives across the road, so walking to the beach was a bit scary as they had dogs and seemed to be drinking all the time. And they even came onto the grass area in front of my unit.

We have stayed here a few times over the years. While it is getting wear and tear with age, the rooms are spacious. Unfortunately the 2 seater couch was very uncomfortable, it must have been broken as it sunk down in the middle. Only one person could sit on it albeit uncomfortably. Also the shower head was loose and came off the hose, water went everywhere. They did come in to fix the shower the next day which was much appreciated

We really enjoy the attentions of the lovely staff. Thank you! We are regular visitors who love this spacious and beautifully located hotel. We love the pool and tennis court and close proximity to the beach. We love the Far North, especially Mangonui, which is only 10 minutes away.

Well we always a feel a good hotel should have, at least, a cafe open all day. Food should be available all day otherwise you send your guests out, when you really should want them to stay and spend their money with you :)

The location is perfect and none better . The staff are great. The restaurant is really very good . We ate there three nights and couldn’t fault anything on the menu . Really enjoyed it.

Some maintenance is required - loose taps in both bathrooms and frayed worn carpet to name a couple of things. We expected a spa outside our room but it was not there . The promo material needs to be updated to match the reality

Beautiful location, easy access to the beach. Bbq and pool area a very enjoyable space. The 2 bedroom suite had plenty of room and private spa, our 1 bedroom apartment was accommodating. Had all the amenities, can't wait to stay again.

Prickles on the grass.. easy fix with weed and feed and you'll have beautiful pricke free lawn all year round. Sliding doors were abit hard to open, Pool area should have lights so Adults can have a night swim or spa.

On arrival my partner did not notice the pole sticking out of the ground in the parking area, he ran it over with the boat trailer and it popped a tire on the trailer. They had no hesitation in calling the tire man in Taipa. Who replaced the tire in 15 mins and also the resort paid for it all! So thanks yous very much. Beautiful location, such a nice room. Loved using the kitchen. Bed in the bed room was super comfy and the bathrooms were so clean. Absolutely love the restaurant was amazing and such good pricing we ended up taking away half our food cause our entrées were so large but totally worth every penny.

We got the Pacific Suite and upon arrival we noticed that the table was dirty and also the stove top. I also booked the room for the spa pool outside but it was closed due to maintenance which was unfortunate. But they did discount the room which was awesome. We ended up having a dip in the one by the pool. Also we pulled out a couch bed to watch TV on and it was so old that the part where you rest your head didn't click up and the feet part was basically pointing at the ground, took both me and my partner 10 mins to figure out how to fold it back into the couch, it was a real mission definitely needs a bit of a upgrade.
