We had studio 2 and booked for a few days R&R at the end of a month long trip around NZ. It was super clean and cosy. Modernly furnished. Excellent TV in bed snugness with a view of the vineyards. (We needed early nights with Netflix and naps) Loads of space to spread yourself and well equipped with ironing boards etc. Excellent shower pressure. So close to Mudbrick and cable bar vineyards. We recommend Oyster Inn in Oneroa for dinner- it was unreal food!

The pillows were overly soft- but a common problem in nz we've noticed. Whilst only a 20min walk from Oneroa. This is uphill on the way back, and approx half way you lose path and street lamps- so be prepared with your phone torch if walking after dark. We hired electric bikes from the ferry to get around, so that helped.

The property was gorgeous with fantastic views. It was also in a great location.

The only challenge is if the weather is bad and you don’t have a car, it’s a hassle to get around. We were there in an atmospheric pressure and had to rely on taxis to do anything and couldn’t do any outdoor activities. Many shops and restaurants were even closed. If the house had a fireplace this would have been the perfect time to hunker down in front of it and just relax.

Beautiful property with a superb view. Much bigger than we thought it would be and we especially liked the deck. Good facilities, well equipped and comfortable beds, good showers.Well placed for Mudbrick and Cable bay Vineyards and for walking. Shame it's not on the bus route though it doesn't take too long to walk to Oneroa. It was nice that there was wine and some beers available to buy but it would have been useful to know this beforehand.Loved it and wished we had been staying longer!

Only problem was that the kitchen light kept randomly switching on and off

Although there was no sea views there was a lovely view across to Cable Bay Vineyard. The room was spacious and other than being too hot was comfortable.

There was no air conditioning so the room was very hot. There was a fan above the bed but it was insufficient to cool the room. The path to the room was unlit and extremely dark. We had to walk very slowly to avoid an accident.

My wife and I spent six nights at Cable Bay Views. This was our sixth time holidaying on Waiheke Island and one of our best primarily due to the accomodation. Very clean and tidy unit with great facilities, even matching wine and champagne glasses!!! Fantastic location, nice views of the vineyards, plenty of birdlife and a couple of cute rabbits. Within walking distance to Oneora township and beach, Cable Bay and Mudbrick Vineyards.

Minor issues - better pillows and maybe supplying beach towels.

Cable Bay Views is perfectly located with an easy walk into the main town and also close to a few vineyards/restaurants. The room itself was lovely, modern, clean and comfortable. No air-conditioning so the room was very hot (March) and needed the fan and doors open to cool it down. I'm not sure if breakfast was an option, we walked into town for breakfast. The room also had a very private balcony with a lovely view. I would highly recommend Cable Bay Views!

Air-conditioning would be great

Our second stay in this wonderful property, just a stones throw from Oneroa village. It is a beautiful house with a full kitchen & BBQ and an amazing outdoor living space with gorgeous views back over Auckland city. We enjoyed another really comfortable stay with all amenities - it's a real 'home from home' feel! Beds are really comfy and the hosts are delightful and on hand nearby if required.

Nothing! Another wonderful stay and we will be back!

All four of us loved the lodge. The views were stunning and the accommodation was extremely comfortable, with comfy beds, plenty of seating both indoors and out, and plentiful hot water. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped and we appreciated the BBQ and made good use of it during our stay.

There was a small Nespresso machine but it would have been good to have a larger plunger, and also some sharper knives. Otherwise we loved everything.

A fabulous stay with friends. very spacious with beautiful views- location was excellent. Kitchen was well equipped. We shall definitely stay here when we return to Waiheke

We had to go and buy Ice for our G & T's - no Ice trays in the freezer.

Our stay at Cable Bay Views was great. The studio was spacious and clean, and the king-size bed was incredibly comfortable. The stunning view added an extra touch of beauty to our experience. While the location had a few challenges, such as being a 25-minute walk from Oneroa village and the absence of a nearby bus stop, these were minor inconveniences that didn't significantly impact our overall enjoyment, especially being also close to well-known wineries like Mudbrick and Cable Bay (3-5min walk).

Worth mentioning is that the shower head had a tendency to fall off, but it didn't detract from the overall positive experience. Additionally, walking back to the accommodation at night was a bit tricky due to the lack of a proper footpath. For those with a car or who don't mind taking a taxi, getting around is easy enough. Taxis are available on demand and typically cost around 10-20 NZD for transportation between Cable Bay Views and Oneroa.
