Spacious and modern I've stayed at approx 10 motels in Whakatane.. I would say one of the best but...

just a few little tips to make it 10/10 motel 1 Toilet paper..had 1 roll that was nearly empty and 1 full roll of toilet paper..so we ran out late at night so luckily I always bring a spare roll in my bag ..Please give at least 2 full rolls in future esp for a family of 3 2 not sure how old the fridge is but very noisy especially when trying to sleep.. woke me up a few times.. I guess when it's cycling? 3 most motels have outside lights if you need to go into your car but there was none and it was pitch black... Also not that safe for people or theft if there is no outside lights? But I would definitely come again .. overall a great motel

I really like the bed and shower had great water pressure. My partner and I were really glad to find the Nespresso coffee pods in the morning for a kick start to our adventures.

Our spa bath bubbles didn't work. We tried it both on Friday night and Saturday night. We asked the Reception lady to show us instructions on Saturday morning. We did just that but the button would turn of by itself. So I could only have normal bath and not the spa option. We were in room 11.

Spacious room, exceptionally clean with daily room service. Nice little kitchenette with coffee pod machine as a bonus. Bed was comfy. Staff very welcoming. Quiet and they turn the outside lights off early to avoid unnecessary light shinning into rooms.

Lightening in the room, especially bathroom was a tad dim so for those of us with poor eyesight presented a minor inconvenience. Not within walking distance of shops, so will need to drive if you want to grab food items.

We were very late on check in, they called to enquire if we were still on coming. We gave them a time as traffic was very heavy and travel plans changed. The staff stayed on to make sure we got in. We were grateful for there patience and staying on extra time to see us in. We also needed a charger as we forgot and they lent one to us. We returned it on checkout. We loved the extras, in amenities, face wipes, little notes about ants 😆 and the room size was really good. Very clean premises.

Very friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble for them. I bought some flowers and we were loaned a vase for our 5 night stay. the room was bigger than we expected and the spa bath was a bonus.

We had some difficulty with the television and gave up in the end as we had plenty of reading matter. Nothing else was negative about our stay. A few more cooking utensils would have been nice also and a few more coat hangers.

Everything from being greeted and welcomed at the front desk to leaving the next day. I would recommend The Landing Motel to others. I loved the spa, nice touch in our room,my mum had her own room and she said she was super comfortable and honestly did not want to leave. The hotel teallh made an impression on her. To be honest this was my mums first motel stay and what better location to stay for the first time than at The Landing Motel.

To be honest there was nothing that I didn't like our suite suited my husband and I nicely. Plus its a walk away from everything perfect location. If there was anything to say I didn't like which has nothing to do with The Landing Motel, the road (Landing Road) that the Motel is on is one of the most busiest roads ever. That would be one of the things I didn't like.

The lounge room was very spacious. Was great for a catchup with friends. Had everything we needed and was ultra clean. The beds were very comfortable. Supportive,not soft, and we all slept really well. The bedroom was spacious too. Excellent shower. We never used the spa bath. Room 7 was ultra quiet. Would definitely stay again. Was perfect.

That we couldn't stay longer!

We've stayed here before and loved it so stayed again. A last minute booking for us and this place is always clean, tidy, modern and has everything you need for a great stay. Beds are comfy. The new managers are lovely! Location is on the main road out of town but still quiet. Possible to walk into the main town. A 24/7 day and night store is only a few minutes walk away for those late night sugar cravings.

Nothing to note

Great location, just minutes away from the city centre. A modern and spacious room with an adequate amounts of beds for a family of 5. Very clean and beds were comfortable The spa bath was an amazing bonus The wifi was abit lagging in the room and the tv in the bedroom wasn't working. But overall, awesome motel

Beds were comfortable quality bedding. Nice to have a coffee machine available for use. Location was ideal for purpose of trip to Whakatāne. Staff were welcoming on arrival and super from departure.

There was only one small issue with the shower head stand, however it did not affect the use of the shower it was still useable.
