The hotel was super nice upper floor pool view rooms.down flOor was family rooms.not as gozy as upper floor.but the whole kit was super nice. Beach was nothing to see.cant swim.seaorgins everywhere .and the whole panglo is most boring place we have seen in whole Asia,next stop we had siquior hotel aloha seside and becono resort super nice.and nice beaches 5 min walk from becano

Exceeded our expectations. A lot of the previous feedback made negative comments regarding the breakfast and the size of the bathrooms. We were in one of the downstairs rooms adjacent the pool, and it was large, with a very large bathroom. The buffet style breakfast was the best of the three hotels we stayed at during our holiday. The pool is very well kept, and all of the staff were very polite and helpful. This resort has a very relaxed, chilled feel to it. The main busy, bustling Alona Beach area is a tuktuk ride away, but there is the more relaxed White Beach a couple of minutes stroll away. It has a couple of basic places to eat, but is mainly used by locals having their own picnics and BBQs.

The hot water generally came through as warm at best.

Room was exactly as depicted on the photos. I was a bit concerned because of some reviews but everything was really fine! Beautiful balcony and view of the pool. Large room, very clean, very comfortable bed. Nice pool area, well kept. Beautiful hideaway nice and quiet. Friendly staff also helping me with my luggage as it is a bit uphill and up the stairs. Very thankful for being able to deposit my luggage during a two day biketrip until my return. Only a 2min. walk to the beach. Hotel also organised transfer to the ferry port at reasonable price.

Electricity plugs need to be fixed as the cover fell off leaving the plug open. Breakfast could be a bit more to choose from incl. natural juice. A bit more shade also for the sunbeds around the pool (there was only one sunumbrella for the beds directly at the pool).

I booked this hotel for its proximity to the beach, and for the spacious pool area. For these reasons I was very satisfied with my stay. The staff members I met were all friendly and helpful. The room and common areas were cleaned well. I really enjoyed relaxing by the pool and that there were a few different areas to sit. Some other guests recommended the hotel restaurant to me so I gave it a try for dinner. The beer was nice and cold! And the food was really delicious. The breakfast buffet was quite plentiful and I liked that there was lots of fresh papaya and bananas. As well as hot Filipino meat and veg dishes and rice, there was the option of toast and jam. The local beach is a few minutes’ walk away and so nice to walk along to Dumaluan Beach, or a quieter section if you turn to the left along the shoreline. Thank you to all the team for giving me a pleasant stay. I would recommend it - especially if you opt for a poolside room in the newer block. Thanks again!

I wished that I had paid more for a better room. The budget double room smelt of damp which disturbed my sleep. Perhaps there would have been more ventilation on the upper floor. But in retrospect I should have booked the more costly poolside room upfront.

Everything was great. Everyone is so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Location is ideal to avoid the Alona Beach and all its vendors, bad massage parlors and expensive restaurants. Beach is a 2mn from the hotel, this one is quiet. Yet it's still very convenient to explore Panglao and Bohol. Swimming pool is nice, there is breakfast and the rooms are nice, cool and clean. It is possible to rent motorcycles.

Nothing, except maybe the hotel should switch to soap and shampoo dispensers instead of small bottles.

Ananda Resort exceeds our expectations; we stayed here for 2 nights. Our room was spacious and clean; they have very approachable, friendly, and helpful staff. They also serve great breakfast with a lot of options with big servings and a variety of drink choices from coffee, juice, and tea! Truly a great value of moneyIt is also located near Libaong White Beach, but we haven't tried to visit due to our tight schedules. I would totally recommend this hotel! Thank you so much for making our stay memorable!

To get to the Ananda Resort, we had rented a small van from the port city of Tagbilaran, which got us there just fine. The turnoff to the hotel, a barely paved road, initially raised a bit of skepticism, but this dissipated immediately upon entering the hotel area. The Ananda Resort is a small hotel complex with - maybe - about 16 double rooms, which thus exudes a family atmosphere, which is also reflected in the team of the hotel. The resort is also very beautifully designed! We had three smaller rooms reserved for us, which were already quite small; as well as Comfort Room. I would have wished for a little more storage space. For short stays, however, these smaller rooms are certainly sufficient, moreover, there were several nicely designed lounge areas outside, so that we were anyway rather rarely in the rooms. And we also enjoyed the small hotel pool very much! By the way, from the veranda of the second floor you have a beautiful view out to sea! To the beach it is therefore also only a few meters! Also there we have stayed more often and enjoyed the life there. For breakfast you could choose the typical Filipino breakfast (rice, egg and corned beef or ham, with a little fruit, and also coffee, tea and a fruit juice drink) or also the "continental breakfast, where there was then toast instead of rice. For dinner you could choose from a small menu some typical Filipino dishes like Pork Adobo, but also, what was important for our children, French fries and "Chicken Schnitzel." It was always delicious and priced right, so we mostly chose dinner at the hotel. At the front desk, you could also order cold drinks throughout the day in addition to chips, including a craft beer brewed on the island, which was also very interesting! For larger errands, there was a supermarket about 15 minutes walk away, which is a nice walk for a German tourist. Closer either towards the beach or in the opposite direction were some smaller sari-sari stores.

We upgraded to a deluxe double and it was great. Lovely balcony and room. The staff were great and the hotel was very chill. Nice pool area and chairs surrounding

We originally booked a budget room and it's exactly what you would expect a budget room to be. Had to upgrade as it wasn't a functional room. There wasn't much accessible transport or shops/restaraunt near hotel

Got a welcome drink upon arrival at the reception which was lovely, Beautiful place to be in, close the the beach like 2-3mins walk, Justin who was the receptionist was kind and very helpful, even he tried to wake me up to have breakfast in their dining area. Nice ambiance, peaceful and pool was clean and not crowded. Even I left something personal in my room and did not get it back, I am still thankful they replied back to my email. I love the pressure of the water in the sink and shower, especially the water heater where I've been to 3 hotels during my 4 days stay no heater at all, hence! Ananda has it hahaha and it was a relief!!! Relaxing music in the dining area next to the pool. Television good connection, and good wifi connection plus they got generator. (coz the other hotel that I've stayed there was no generator that is why I moved here in Ananda meaning brownout issues are common) Bolod Beach was way better, beautiful and quiet compare to Alona Beach.

Rough road,steep and narrow street to get to the hotel, so you will have to drag your trolley bag to get to the hotel. Or better take toktok so it can fit it the narrow street. Aircon should be upgraded. Phones inside the room should be installed for any room service request so guests will not go out from time to time.

Amazing place, it's our 2nd time in Ananda and we had a great time again. The location of the hotel is ideal, a bit out of the busy town but close to the beach and easily accessible. We love the zen atmosphere and the kindness of the staff. The food is amazing and offers a nice relaxing evening option after a day out exploring. We will be back and recommend this place.
