The rooms were spacious and very clean. The venue is literally 50 meters from the beach. There are hammocks, tables and chairs for the guests. The manager, Eileen, went over and beyond to make my stay as comfortable and unforgettable as possible. I arrived late the first day, and she cooked for me, as all restaurants were already closed at that time. She booked taxis for me, and always greeted me and the other guests with a big smile.

This is NOT an issue related to the hotel per se. It would be a good idea to put trash cans near the property and perhaps close to the beach. Unfortunately, the beaches in the Philippines are full of plastic, not just here.

Really great staff. The resort is lovingly run and is located on a quieter stretch of beach to the east of Dumaluan Beach. Everyone is very helpful, warm and friendly. Delicious breakfast. Rooms are large, air conditioning works very well. The small terrace is a great place to end the evening. There are a few options for lunch and dinner nearby. Otherwise, Dumaluan Beach is within easy reach and Alona Beach is not too far away either. We set off on daily day trips from the resort. We can highly recommend it.

When we booked this accomodation on booking, we were not quite sure what to expect, but in the end, the D&B Bluestar Guesthouse did exceed our expectations! The location right next to the beach is just excellent! Rooms are spacious enough and very clean. In the room you find a modern AC and there is hot water all day long, although the water pressure could be a little better. The food (we had dinner 1x) was amazing and the family running the place was very nice and helped us with all our requests. There are 1-2 small cafés on the beachfront where you can have a bite. But I would recommend having dinner at the guesthouse.

The display light of the AC was quite bright and the water pressure could have been a little better (but that's for all over the Philippines). But that is complaining on a very high level..

The perfect place for people looking for peace and a homely atmosphere. Away from party places. Located at the end of a beautiful beach. The room and bathroom are very nice and mega clean. The owners are helpful (they organized a scooter for me and took care of the laundry). Breakfast is simple but tasty and healthy. I recommend it to people who want to relax from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is worth renting a scooter to get around the island

The location is perfect, especially of you will go for the island hopping tour. The location is quiet compared to Alona beach, you're here for the peace. The staff are also extremely helpful, they go beyond their duties. They provide towels and slippers in the room. The bathroom is big enough and the toilet has a bidet! The staff can book you a motorcycle to rent foe the day.

The room we're staying at has weak cellular and wifi signals. The TV is old, and really small, barely bigger than an iPad. The food is okay. Don't expect hotel / resort quality food. It is good 'ol fashioned pinoy homecooking (which I liked). Before you stay, buy and do everything you have to since there is little to no places in the area to buy or do anything, no food, snacks, toiletries, nothing. Transportation is a bit expensive since the area is a bit secluded. By 7pm, the area is shutdown and dark.

Most of all, the owner/staff were outstanding, amazing humans. Whatever we needed, they took care of it, and provided us with so much extra info, extra help, extra local food and snacks to try. We felt like we had a Filipino mom. Definitely a highlight. The breakfast every day was prepared with so much love. The location is great as well, about 15 minutes away by tricycle from the famous Alona beach and all the tourism hustle bustle (in case you want to go island hopping or diving or want more international food), all while there is a perfect beautiful quiet white beach right in front of the resort. We liked our beach much more than Alona beach. The rooms were very thoroughly cleaned, perfect budget resort.

I loved the people, since it’s a family led business they really go beyond on their service. Just 2 steps away from pristine white sand beach. Rooms are big and comfy. Coconuts are from their own trees. I love that they are animal lovers and care for some stray dogs. They are amiable. You can rent the scooters from there too. Location is far-ish from the bustle of Alona yet only 15 min away on a habal. 1000% recommended.

Wifi could be improve specially for remote workers yet, we worked without major issues.

Actually this is very good hotel and it has good staff. We were here in may '24. This hotel is lacated 10 meters from the ocean and you can swim here or you can walk a little to the right to the Dumaluan beach. The staff very kind and if you want something for a lunch or dinner they'll cook it)

First line, great location, pleasant communication with hosts, quiet enough place (what we needed). Nice in-home cafe.

The hotel burns garbage in the yard near the rooms every few days (but this is a feature of the countryside).

Right by a lovely beach and very quiet as it is rather secluded. If you want the lights and glitz you should go to Alona but if you want to chill, this is the perfect oasis. Hosts are very kind, the food is quite good and the rooms are big and spotless.

Sometimes there are power outages. Nothing to do with the accomodation itself as it impacts the whole area but take that into account if you need wifi...
