the absolute BEST customer service we have ever received! All of the hotel staff are very polite and friendly. They always made sure that we are comfortable and that we are taken care of. Rooms were huge and the view from the balcony is so nice! Water pressure from the shower is also really good. The breakfast was really good and had so much variety! The menu changes everyday which was a good thing because we get to try something new every single day. There was a good amount of choices between local Filipino food, Asian food, and western food. The hotel is also literally located on Alona Beach! Just exit from the restaurant, and you will be at the beach. If you need a tuktuk, hotel staff will happily call one for you. On our last day, our driver from another tour company was late in picking us up. When the staff saw that we were constantly looking outside, they offered to call the driver for us. Thanks to them, we were able to get to the airport on time! I highly recommend this hotel when staying in Panglao!

We all (group of 10 people) loved staying at Best Western in july 2025. Me and my son stayed for 10 nights and enjoyed it very much. The staff is super nice, everybody is so friendly and ready to do anything you ask for. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The location was perfect, right by the sea and so many restaurants and shops all around.

The only thing I can complain about is the loud music every night with the dinner. The food at the hotel is vera good but you can’t enjoy a dinner with family and friends because the music, even though it’s nice and well played and sung, it’s way to loud and you can’t talk to the people with you.

The staff was super nice and always ready to assist. There is also a Tour desk at the reseption where you can book tours and get information about things to do. The location is excellent, everything you need, shops, restaurants, ice cream shops, beaches, ATM, Money exchange, laundry service, bars and vibrant and colorful street life. And breakfast is spectacular with a possibility of extra cup of cappuccino and espresso

The restaurant is excellent and the live music was nice but way too loud. There is no way of having a nice chat with your travel companions while enjoying the good food.

Right on the beachfront, super friendly and helpful staff, bright and spacious rooms, decent pool and pool bar (quite a lot of pool tiles coming off though). Evening bar outside. The staff really are superb enough for a second mention - nothing was too much trouble to try and organise or find out for guests.

There was beach construction at the time (although no fault of the hotel-but more notice would have been nice). The road down to the hotel is bumpy and rocky and precarious at night. Food took forever to arrive if you’re game enough to pay the price to eat here. Couldn’t use the terrace due to renovation.

My husband and I stayed at this resort in June 2025. We booked the Deluxe room. Our room has a wonderful view of the ocean. Although we requested a large bed, we ended up with two full-size beds (big enough for one person but a bit tight for two people). The room and bathroom are spacious and comfortable. The balcony is the icing on the cake. I would say breakfast is good; however, it could be better if a specialty coffee (latte or cappuccino) is included.

There's not a lot I dislike about the resort, except that the latte or cappuccino is not included in the breakfast, and the entrance to the resort is not conducive to walking. In order to access the town, we have to walk along the beach. Fortunately, this was not a problem for us.

It's always a pleasure staying at Best Western Panglao! The staff go out of their way to make sure that their guests feel like VIPs. The staff is extremely friendly, kind, and very helpful. During our stay, we needed to go to the nearest hospital and the clinic called the to make sure that we will be seen by a doctor. They have also offered to help us find the medicine we needed after I told them that the pharmacies we went to did not have what we needed. Even as they dropped us off at the airport, they made sure we got in safely before waving us off. Even the restaurant and kitchen staff were fantastic - we requested a sinigang version that they served when we last stayed there two years ago - the chef was kind enough to accommodate our request a few times (yes, it was that good!); talk about pampering your guests! It's a fabulous hotel to stay in when in Panglao. The hotel's distance to the beach and its amenities made it a perfect hotel for our family vacation. You will be well-taken care of at this hotel. Special shoutout to Noel who has been especially kind to us during our stay.

I wish the breakfast on weekends was a bit longer. The food, however, was great! I like the mix of Asian and Western dishes offered. The pastries were also very delicious! It was such a shame that they ran out quickly! The water in the shower sometimes smelled like metal but it wasn't too bad as the smell didn't cling to the skin.

Nice room, but shower pressure was very poor - it went up and down at random, and when it went down it cut off the flow to the showerhead! Breaksfasts good. Location on the beach good.

The music in the outside bar area was far too lound - fortunately we had a top floor room, but even then we had to wait for it to end before we could try sleeping. There is a restaurant with music right next to it, and sometimes we felt they were in compition to make their music the loudest!

Amazing for families! Gera at the restaurant was amazing, when we were waiting to check in and sitting at the restaurant she came and played with our 5 month old. Then every morning she would come say hello. All the staff was so helpful; travelling with a 3 year old and a 5 month old can be difficult, but everyone at ivywall made it an amazing experience. Room was comfortable, air con was cold which was a relief to get to after a hot day. Very kid friendly with a kids pool and playground.

They could have the option for cots, that was probably the only thing disappointing. Also the size of the 'double bed' more like a king single.

The service was exceptional, especially from the lady at the tour desk (her name started with an "A"), who went above and beyond to organise tours and transfers seamlessly. Her advice to stay local for the whale shark experience in Bohol instead of travelling to Cebu saved us time and improved our trip. The location near Alona Beach was ideal, with easy access to dining, entertainment, and the beach itself.

The entrance to the hotel was a bit disappointing, as the unpaved road often became flooded with rain, making it challenging to navigate. The rooms, while clean and functional, felt dated and could use some modernisation to match the quality of the service and location. Despite these issues, the overall experience was positive, thanks to the staff and convenient location.

We love everything in the hotel. They are very accommodating and gave us discount for the additional person. They have a small playground and kiddie pool, my kids really enjoyed not just the beach but also the hotel amenities. They have family rooms that can accommodate families of 5-6. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet, not that overwhelming. The food varieties are enough to satisfy our early cravings. Thank you so much Best Western Plus The Ivywall for a wonderful experience!
