Amazingggg! The volunteering Filipino and foreign staff were all super friendly and helpful, as well as arranging for things to do the following days which was a big plus! Rooms were clean and comfortable. The social space is very nice too - allows for people to hang out in the evenings to talk, play card games or just relax in the presence of others! Very quiet after 10-11pm too so everyone can get sleep!

The breakfast - the toast weren’t even toasted and I was getting ripped off for the what you get. Better off going to a neighbouring hostel, which is what’s I ended up doing to get breakfast or going into where the area where restaurants are. A lot of people smoke here… there could be a specific smoke only area and smoke FREE area - especially for me since I’m an asthmatic!

i like the free drinking water. the sheets seems to be clean enough and also the ac in the room working properly. overall the property seems to be clean (except for the bean bags) i like also that their lockers are big enough for a lot of personal stuff and/or valuables. i like the restroom/bathroom is literally near the room and its being cleaned regularly plus the toilet tissue is always being refilled or the replacement tissue is already there on stand by.

I didn't like that it seems they are not cleaning the bean bag, it looks dirty. i didn't like that one time i was told that the cook will be there at around 7am.. then 8am.. but i ended up having to walk away (and find a different place to eat) bec its already 830am and no one even bothered to tell me that the cook is still not there. i would have moved on to another place to eat (sooner) instead of waiting that long.

Chill Out Hostel is a very ordinary budget place to stay but the staffs kept it more like a homely one. I stayed for a night in a single room at 2nd floor with no view. The floor had 2 other rooms but only one shared bathroom. Room was clean. Bed was comfy, AC was super. Bathroom was clean and had bath gel and shampoo but there was no lebel on them; so it was kinda hard to understand what i am using. WiFi was good too. One policy i liked most is silence from 11pm to 8am. That ensured a great sleep for me. Front desk helped me to get room by 1pm. Also helped me to get sunset sparrow sailing only at Peso 800. They often arrange games and activities for the boarders that help them to get along. Loosing the key will charge you Peso 500 🙁. Restaurant food was OK and as a boarder you will get 10% discount on food only. Location is good. Only 2/3 mins walk to Bulabog Beach which is hub spot for water activities. Besides it is 7/8 mins walk from D’mall- the market and food place. Crossing D’mall you will get white sand beach.

All staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was good value for money and it was clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was generous considering the room is such a low price.

Free airport transfer was advertised on my booking, however this is not offered, it is 650 pesos for a transfer through the hostel. I think this is a little misleading and should be removed so guests aren’t disappointed.

We had such a great time staying at Chill Out Hostel! The facilities were good, and the staff really friendly and helpful. The location was great, just a short walk from the beach and close to restaurants and bars. The best part was the friendly atmosphere as they organized activities during the week, which was a nice way to meet other travelers and have some fun together. They also have a restaurant with plenty of options to eat and great wifi if you want to work. Overall, we had a good time and would recommend it to others looking for a relaxed yet sociable vibe. Make sure to also check the deals on their website and Instagram account!

The hostel is located in quite area, 5 mins walk away from the back beach and 15mins walk from the DM mall which is center for shopping , Restaurants ,bar and station 2 beach entrance .

They don't have a kitchen, no microwave to use, and no social activities like other hostel because of which i dint find any of the guest interacting with each other . If you like a quite hostel than its best place to stay.

Nice chill out zone and attached bar/ restaurant with some good meals and a few veggie options and reasonable prices. . Possibly the cheapest beer on the island also. Free water refills Near a few other little bars, cafes and shops and only 5- 10 minutes walk to white beach. Even closer to beach on the east side.

AC in dorms too cold. Need to bring your own padlock for locker. Not a complaint, just something to be aware of. Horrible, too loud dance music every night in the bar as soon as the sun set tho maybe that's just my age. Just not very chilled when you're eating/ trying to talk.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious and the aircon worked wonderfully. The location was superb, with only a 5 minute walk to white beach and station 2 D mall. The Chill Out restaurant is directly next to The Hostel, and had free drinks from 7:00-7:30 which is awesome. The food was also really good! They also had AirPort transport for 1300PHP (for 2 people) which was great.

Had struggles with hot water, although we never brought it up with staff as we don't mind a cold shower so we cannot complain.

Lovely hostel! Comfy beds, good facilities and amazing staff! Staff really made the evenings and helped get everyone to join in with the events! Very social atmosphere with the ability to find quiet space if you wanted it. Shout out to Emma who really made me feel welcome and was really friendly! Hostel is also in a great location, close to the beach and other nightlife.
