I stayed in a studio with balcony. The room was large and well equipped. The TV had several English speaking movie channels. WiFi good. A/c good. Back up generator for occasional power cuts. Hot water in shower with good pressure. Small kitchenette with hotplate allowed for cooking some nutritional meals. Location is minutes from Bulabog beach for kite surfing etc, and less than 10 mins walk to D Mall and white beach station2. Neighbourhood very quiet and safe. Staff were always friendly, as are the pet dogs. I extended my stay several times as it suited me perfectly. Bed was huge and very comfortable. Rooms cleaned and linens replaced upon request. 10 out of 10.

Only thing that I could suggest would be the addition of chairs on the balcony, as the chairs in the room were straight backed and so not overly comfortable for relaxing on.

Roosters in lush jungle can crow starting around 4am but it wasn't as bad as has been posted imo. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Restaurant Food Quantity for the price. No Netflix. One burner stove only. 2 burner stove would have been better. No microwave. WiFi in the unit only worked in half of the unit. WiFi was non existent in the Kitchen or the CR room.

The property was very clean and in a great location. It's 7-10mins walk for the busy white beach and 2 minutes walk from Bulabong beach, which we found out on our second last day is a gem with the most amazing coffee spot - except for the wind here, but not to be overlooked. The hotel was very clean and the room was very spacious. It was nice to have a hotel booked in a location surrounding locals too. We never needed a tuk tuk to white beach it's that close. Staff were so friendly & always very accommodating if we needed fresh towels etc. WiFi was exceptional for our whole stay. We were always up at 6am and back in the hotel for 7/8pm so I can't comment on night life or the area at night, but we never had issues with noise.

Every boxed was ticked there was no negative, this was a great find!

My room had a small kitchenette with basic utensils, which could be useful for some guests. The balcony on the second floor was practical for drying swimwear and enjoying a bit of fresh air. A standout feature is the hotel’s Italian restaurant, run by an Italian chef who also owns the hotel. It offers a relaxed atmosphere with authentic Italian dishes and is not overly crowded. Well-regarded among locals, the restaurant adds a charming touch to the hotel’s overall appeal. One practical advantage of this hotel is its own generator. In Boracay, power outages are quite common and can sometimes last for hours—or even the entire night. For smaller hotels, having a backup power source isn’t always a given, so this is a significant plus. If you’re planning a stay on the island, it’s wise to choose a hotel with either a generator or a solar energy system to ensure uninterrupted comfort, especially during longer outages. The hotel has a subtle Italian influence, which gives it a unique character. If you’re looking for a quiet, comfortable place to stay with good food, a central location, and the reliability of backup power, Hotel Lanterna is a solid choice.

Cute, clean lapartment for quiet extended stay on the island. Comfortable and well thought out space with nice kitchenette for preparing light meals. Desk area convenient for remote working and good Cable TV. Nice balcony overlooking coconut trees and partial view of Bulabog beach just a min away.

I stayed in both the studio and the deluxe suite. I’ve had a positive experience as I extended my stay. The view of the jungle is lovely. It’s quite peaceful and the location is very good- close to bulabog beach, walking distance to white beach and all amenities like ATM etc are nearby as well the main tourist counter for boat trips. Breakfast is good- would be good if it was included in the price of the room but a good variety and good quality for Boracay. Value for Boracay is also good especially for the location. They are eco friendly and have accessible cold drinking water in glass bottles.

The water pressure and temperature were temperamental. Very common for the Philippines however. Would be good to have the room lightly cleaned daily.

Lovely place to stay in Boracay, away from the crowds! It looks like a little oasis in the middle of Boracay. Conveniently located between white beach and Bulabog, and it’s easy to reach both. The room is very big with a nice balcony into a green and dense garden! The restaurant is the best in town, and it has very nice options for breakfast also. Luigi is so nice that you really feel at home and the best chef in the island. We will stay here again when we come back to Boracay.

Everything was amazing, the location, 2 minutes to one beach, 5 minutes to another, and this is walking. Clean, amazing scenery, and the staff was amazing. The restuarant had amazing food and the prices are great. Even the market was walking distance. This place is slept on since it's tucked away which makes it quiet.

Italian style hotel. In the room you have everything that you need to spend great time. Fridge, A/C, wifi , shower with hot water, king-size comfortable bed , balcony, and so on. Family atmosphere and so kind & helpful Mrs Lyn. All staff meets you with whole days smiling. Owner,Mr Luigi (master chef) & his wife are very nice & very friendly people. You have a chance to try Italian Menu made by Luigi & his cooks in their restaurant. The hotel is situated 2 min walk to kitesurf Bulabog Beach & 10 min walk from White Beach (over 4km long, awesome beach). A couple steps to all restaurants & shops. I can recommend this hotel with a clear conscience

loud roosters crowing in the morning on the neighboring property. This is, of course, beyond the control of the hotel owners 😀

The food over everything. Such a great quality Italian Food is difficult to find even in Italy itself (forget that flag, I am Italian so I am allowed to say that)

There was a bit of confusion when we initially agreed on discounting me one night, then I was asked to pay it anyway. The origin of the problem however was myself, as I was the one to book the wrong dates, so I cannot really complain.
