With No doubt this has to have been ONE of the BEST hotel stays I have had in my travels. I thought No Hotel could match the perfect little family owned hotel I stayed in Singapore.... But yet.... The Mercure in Poznan, did.... and it did it with Honors...!! The staff, the cleanliness, the wine bar, pastry shop next door.... were Excellent. The breakfast was good they had everything I liked so No complaints from me. The Room was Incredible... I never expected it to be laid out the way it was....in an L Shape...with an Fabulous view...!! But overall... the selling point for me was the Staff.... the simplicity, honesty, generosity and they were So Well Mannered.... I would Definitely Recommend staying here!

My wife and I loved our first stay here in July, so we chose this hotel again for our second visit! We booked a privilege room with a double bed, but we were upgraded to a Suite!! I couldn't believe that it happened to me, so I double-checked at the front desk :) Thank you so much for the upgrade! During our first stay, we didn't have breakfast at the hotel, and it turned out it was a big mistake. Because their breakfast was amazing! Especially, fresh bread was irresistible!! We will definitely stay here again in the future, and we will not skip breakfast at Mercure Poznan!!
I wrote about the weak water pressure last time, but this time, water pressure was okay! I guess it was because of the height (5th floor) For your information, Our room was on 2nd floor this time.

I had to book a stay in Poznan for transit only hence the choice of hotel close to the train station. At the time I did not realise that I would be staying in a very historic hotel. It was interesting to read all about it in the lobby. Unexpected bonus to a nice stay. The hotel is very modern. My room was incredibly spacious for one person. So was the bathroom. All spotless and bright. Brilliant idea to have water dispensers in the hall and a caraffe to fill with water yourself. I drink loads of water so this was welcome. Usually hotels leave one small bottle which I would drink in a minute and be left thirsty. I was arriving very late so I asked if I could have a meal delivered to my room before the restaurant closes. I had to pay for it ahead of time using slightly confused process via email but it was worth it and the meal was very good. I also managed to grab a lovely glass of wine in the lively bar before they closed at midnight. Breakfast, while pricey, was very good. Large selection of healthy and less-healthy foods - something for everyone. Offering was fresh and tasty. Coffee was nice and the service excellent. All the staff across the hotel were friendly and helpful. The checkin and checkout was super easy. The proximity to the train station was a big plus for me. All in all 10/10 with a few caveats.
I was woken up by very loud music and shouting through microphone and speakers. It occurred later that it was Poznan Expo event nearby. Unfortunately I could not sleep after 8am which was disappointing becuase I really needed that rest. Not hotel's fault but I guess something to keep in mind. The single beds seemed very narrow. I don't know if it was just me but I almost fell off the bed multiple times throughout the night. Bar staff, while friendly enough, seemed tired and eager to close for the night. Maybe it was because of a large and loud group of guests at the time. But I didn't feel overly welcome. The location was a bit odd. It is very close to old town and transport but immediate hotel surroundings are not particularly pleasant to look at. Felt deserted after dark.

The staff was very nice and helpful. there was no issue about my friends leaving a package for me in the hotel or to accomodate my order for local pastries for a very early pick up. The hotel is very close to the main train station, some 10 minutes on foot. The rooms are nice. The priviledge room has a free non-alcoholic beverages in the mini bar and a nespresso machine. The restaurant was also very good.
some (not all) staff at the restaurant were not very interested or engaged with potential guests.

Perfectly located in close proximity to all locations I needed access to. Everything was within walkable distance for me. Great coffee place located in the hotel as well. Very late checking at 1 a.m. wasn't a problem as well but make sure you count this as extra night.
Didn't experienced any issue during my stay. Haven't used any amenities as was primarily out sorting out work related stuff so did not apply to me.

Clean, spacious room. Comfy bed. Nice, clean bathroom. Breakfast tasty although it could use more hot dishes and variety. Close to railway station.
They initially gave me a lower tier room than I booked. They corrected the mistake once I pointed it out but this is the second time this happened out of two stays, so be alert when checking in. It was annoying to have to walk back and forth to the reception with the suitcase.

Beds were comfortable. Room was spacious (superior room) with a couch. Restaurant on site was good and very convenient given we were there in Winter and didn’t want to venture out on our first day. Location was good also.
Hairdryer was one of the ones that is permanently attached to the wall and you have to hold the on button down while you use it. Really difficult if you have a lot of hair to dry. Hotel was able to provide one that wasn’t attached to the wall though, so it wasn’t a big deal in the end. The shower was in a deep bath which nice if you wanted a bath, but would have been difficult for someone with mobility problems to get in and out of the shower.

All in all very good value, will stay there again, warm meat eg bacon was not available, the sausages that was Offred was very low quality.
Warm Meat options at breakfast was limited to sausages only and the cheap kind - this can be improved.

The house meets all the requirements of a contemporary hotel. The location is within walking distance to the main train station and directly at the streetcar stop. My room was spacious, clean, quiet and with free (non-alcoholic) drinks. Wide view of the city. Staff is friendly and speaks English. Bar open until midnight every night.
The hotel is quite far on foot from the historic center (which is currently just a huge construction site anyway). Breakfast may be good, but is very expensive (22 Euros). For those who just want a coffee and a croissant in the morning, definitely not a good option.

Room was cozy. The location was perfect to walk into historical Poznań. The restaurant on the first floor was equally good! The staff was very accommodating and prepared us a to-go breakfast (early check out for 0600 flight).
The shower stall did not have a cover/curtain and the floor was flat. This caused water to easily leak on to the bathroom floor
