The location is spot on right in the old town , it's a beautiful looking hotel ,I hadn't stayed so near so it was really nice to be able to walk out at any time day or night to have a walk around and soak up the atmosphere, it meant I could come and go and not worry about taxis the town was alive day and night .lovely staff always welcoming and anything you needed you only had to ask , I had issues with breakfast not enough to go round s I felt hungry so I asked for a refund but they instead found another venue for me t eat at and that was really kind of them to sort out . Staff all of them reception staff , breakfast staff and cleaning staff all very friendly and had a word or two to say all smiling which for me after the previous experience was a blessing .

Depending on the sorts if people that can and went some were very considerate and would shut doors quietly but there were some French visitors and German visitors who slammed their doors and talk loudly in the corridors luckily they only stayed a couple of nights . My room window looked straight into someone apartment so next time I would like to stay a bit higher up or on the sea view side but I only gave them one days notice that I was staying so I was lucky to get a room at all .

Very close to all amenities, town and beach a two minute walk and not up too much of a hill, Spar and pharmacy opposite that was very useful, good breakfast, staff very helpful, nice town and sea view, small but nice and clean pool. Very close to Caso do Fonte restaurant where food is great and family friendly Steps Bar opposite who have a great acoustic guitarist playing every night until early hours.

Noise and music from the party street off main square could be heard in room until approx 4am, not hotels fault that the Mayor allows it to be played at such a loud level until early hours. Earplugs might be useful. Quieter if you have a room on other side but I wanted the view.

Location was great for us .pool was small and the rooms were basic but clean all the staff are kind friendly and helpful you have a great team .I would definitely stay here again Hotel is pretty and was built in 1903 very charming and I will recommend it to all my family and friends .

Did not realise how hilly it was and there are lots of steps and can be quite slippy as it is cobbled streets so if you have any walking problems you will find it very difficult or I would say impossible to get around .

Location was perfect, in old town, but quiet around.nice hotel staff, receptionists. The view from the pool and balcony and additional leisure area at the top level are great. The swimming pool is reasonably sized and the area around is in the shadow giving a break from the strong sun. The view from the swimming pool is amazing, a good place to relax. The hotel has an exceptional atmosphere. Beds are comfy, good breakfast.

The place needs renovation, the price is quite high for this standard

I was on holidays in Albufeira from May 29 to June 2. Although I was initially concerned due to some reviews, I ended up being very pleased with my stay. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and customer-oriented, always ready to help. My room was quite large (situated on the 3rd floor, reception floor, offering views of the old city and the ocean). It had a refrigerator, air conditioning, and a safe (available for an additional fee). The room was clean and comfortable, and it was cleaned every day (contrary to some reviews claiming otherwise). The breakfast was really good, enough food to choose what to eat. Just a recommendation to add some vegetables. The location is really excellent! There are restaurants, bars, shops, and a pharmacy nearby, and access to the beach is just a three-minute walk from the hotel. Perfect! Regarding comments about the “mountainous terrain” and the “difficult climb to the hotel”: Albufeira is situated in a rocky area with lots of descents and ascents. If you have difficulty walking or have musculoskeletal problems, you might need to choose another city. As for noise, I generally can recommend everyone to have earplugs at any trip to avoid issues with sleeping. It's clear, that if you want to stay close to the city center, the beach, bars, and restaurants in a resort town, you should be prepared for its nightlife. If you are not, then better to choose a quiet family hotel on the outskirts of the city, where it will be peaceful, but you'll need a taxi to get to all the party spots. So, can say, that I was delighted with my holidays in Albufeira and this hotel. If I ever return, I will definitely stay at this hotel again!

Location, staff, CATS

Had a funny smell, no outlets by the beds, no room hair dryers, no long mirrors for dressing

Good location, very friendly helpful staff, our room was on the top floor and it was quiet, you can ask for kettle,iron and hair dryer,we used one of the terraces to sunbathe which has good sea view and a bit quiet compared to the pool area.

Lower floor guest's reported noise from the bar street and were woke up a lot during the early hours as people returned back from a night out, however it didn't really bother us as we were on a higher floor and not sea or town facing.

Central to everything, nice breakfast, good pool and nice staff

Smell in bathroom when arrived and there for two days, ants in the room and asked if we had any sweet food which we hadn’t which felt like abit of an acquisition, no hairdryer in the room and had to put €10 deposit on one and had to wait for 3rd day of stay to finally receive one, no tea/coffee making facilities, no iron/steamer in room, couldn’t use safe as no lock in it, not enough plug sockets in room, very noisy during the night as no soundproofing and people banging doors when entering their rooms even after 12

slightly dated hotel but very clean and tidy with friendly staff in a good location.just far enough from the hustle and bustle of the square with great shops, restaurants and night life.

the only things I can only say are wrong are the room doors aren't fire doors and extremely flimsy, there's no hairdryers in the bathroom for the women so had to hire one from reception.

Amazing location, easy walk to the beach and great restaurants and nightlife just around the corner too! Everything well within 10mins walk. Marina also only 20min walk which is where lots of water activities leave from, we did a cave tour which was great. Staff were amazing, so friendly. Overall great experience.

The aircon was very loud and few things were a bit run down but overall great value for money, we would go back in a heartbeat!
