Honestly, we loved absolutely everything. The location was absolutely stunning, the view from the bedroom was breathtaking, the bed was very comfortable, the kitchen facilities fantastic and it was just perfect sitting outside on the picnic tables for breakfast and dinner overlooking the ocean. The pool area was gorgeous, nice and quiet and we loved the loungers again, overlooking the ocean and natural swimming pools. This has been by far the best accommodation that we have stayed at in the Azores, and the staff were lovely as well.

Nothing

The breakfast had a nice variety of selections. The bacon wasn't always completely cooked but we brought this to our room and continued to fry it and enjoy it with eggs we had purchased. The bread and bakery selections were wonderful and the variety of coffee makers was a real surprise. The French press was used everyday!

Access to the water pool was trecherous. The facility pool was nice.

The apartment hotel was spacious and had amazing ocean views. I would recommend requesting an apartment on the second floor, for example Apt #2. Baia da Barca is located on the outskirts of Madelena, walking distance into town and the ferry terminal. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We had the big split level appartement. Privy but what a view. Top floor with balcony was so nice. On one site the ocean from other bedroom view on Mountain Pico (when not in the clouds)

Living room was kind of basic for the enormous smoust of space. A bit of a luxery problem. Not really in the center of Madalena but that is tiny and spread out anyway

The staff are very professional and friendly. Special mention to Ana for being gracious, hardworking and answered any questions I had. She also let me in to fill up more water even though she was closing. Overall, my stay was comfortable. The place was very peaceful in a great location. The facilities were generally great. Best breakfast I had in all of the places I've stayed at including the fresh baked goods. Superb

My only complaint was the lack of a cancellation policy after booking within 24hours. The sauna could be hotter and the Atlantic swimming hole wasn't too maintained. Either than that, the place is great.

When we couldn't make it to breakfast,(Too early of a start because of climbing Mt Pico) our kitchen was stocked with breakfast items! Very convenient! Also met my GF diet restrictions. Also we had some very wet clothing from hiking in the rain, the staff helped us get firewood and starter to have a fire in the fireplace!

Location was great and within walking distant to Madalena. It was also within walking distant to swimming pools. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

Scenic location. Brilliant view from bedroom. Spacious, well-equipped apartment.

No breakfast. Narrow bath, poor shower, small TV mounted high.

Huge rooms and lovely private natural pool. The breakfast was also great, especially the fruit yoghurts (or desserts).

Maybe a slightly bigger TV for rainy days? But we loved our stay.

It is right on the ocean and the view of the ocean and the mountain awesome. The apartment was spacious. The breakfast had lots of choices of fruit and bread and cheeses, and even fresh crapes!

The location is a moderate walk into town, only 15 minutes. But for us being right on the ocean the walk was not bad at all.
