Honestly, this place is cleaner than most 4 or 5-star hotels I’ve stayed in. Fresh towels every day, room perfectly reset — it almost felt too good to be true. And with the sea humidity? The dehumidifier in the room made a real difference. I slept incredibly well. The room’s big, the value is impressive. It’s not right in the center — about a 20-minute walk — but if you like walking and don’t mind a bit of distance, it’s worth it. Especially being so close to a natural swimming spot and one of the island’s best bars. Pico Island has its own charm — rain or shine. There’s something strangely beautiful about the contrast: the black volcanic rock, the twisted, wind-beaten trees by the sea, and this intense, ever-present ocean. It’s dramatic in the best way.

One small thing: there’s no fridge in the room. And with how generous Portuguese portions are, you might find yourself wishing there was somewhere to keep leftovers.

Great location and close to town, the owner and her mother were great. Close to the natural pool across the street with a cabana bar and Cella Bar to go eat and have a glass of wine at sunset. The rooms were clean and quiet. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We made most of our meals there. With a few supplies from the store a 15 minute walk we were all set. Breakfast watching the sea was a plus, also seeing Pico Mountain everyday from the property just made you want to do the climb!

Location to harbour, downtown, and cella bar. very spacious and clean. Easy to find and beautiful views of the ocean and Faial island.

The only thing that was not good were the sleeping (not the decorative) pillows on the bed. They were small and flat and even with two they flattened too much and were not good for your neck.

Good location, a short distance from Madalena. Large, well-equipped room with a small fridge and a kettle. Near Cella Bar, which is where to go for dinner. The helpful front desk is staffed 8am-6pm. €50/night in Feb.

No breakfast but Padaria Andrade is in Madalena.

Nothing really. For North Americans, it's good to note that all beds in Pico are singles, but you can push them together. Barca even changed the sheet to a larger one to make it more like a king, so make sure to try and request that, if it matters!

Location was good on the outskirts of town, nice and quiet but not too far The staff was always friendly and helpful. Such nice people! We felt comfortable and at home, and would stay here again.

The view and the people working there! Great service, amazing view on Pico on one side and Faial on the other one was magical. The localisation is great, and the cuisine is good, including having a washing machine.

The sofa bed and the pillows on it weren't very comfortable.

Nice, spacious room including a fridge, a laundry rack and a big balcony with an awesome ocean view. Perfectly located in a quiet area between Cella Bar and a nice food truck, both at the ocean. 15 min walk to town. Super happy!

Great location, nice interior and well stocked, close to the water, front balcony was large and great to sit on to look out onto Faial and the ocean, very helpful staff

Large bath, clean and all equipment available. We could check in earlier and after check out they storage our bags until we take it for plane. Tv with English channels

Two single beds instead of one large one. TV could have function for youtube or apps.
