The location is perfect as right near town and able to get to the main roads very easily. Parking was convenient and right near the hotel. We were able to check in early which was incredibly appreciated after a very early morning flight. Definitely take time to explore the private rocky beach that is accessible near the pool.

There is no more breakfast being offered, which is a change from the listing. The outside of the facility was very well maintained, but there could have been a bit more information provided about the island as well as potential listing of food options on the island.

Honestly, we loved absolutely everything. The location was absolutely stunning, the view from the bedroom was breathtaking, the bed was very comfortable, the kitchen facilities fantastic and it was just perfect sitting outside on the picnic tables for breakfast and dinner overlooking the ocean. The pool area was gorgeous, nice and quiet and we loved the loungers again, overlooking the ocean and natural swimming pools. This has been by far the best accommodation that we have stayed at in the Azores, and the staff were lovely as well.

Isabelle was absolutely fantastic. We had a few issues with car rental and flights (unrelated to Baia de Barca), but Isabelle made sure we were well taken care of and helped us navigate the difficulties. She made our Pico stay the best it could've been. We are so thankful! Our room was very clean with a breathtaking view of the ocean and Faial island.

The breakfast had a nice variety of selections. The bacon wasn't always completely cooked but we brought this to our room and continued to fry it and enjoy it with eggs we had purchased. The bread and bakery selections were wonderful and the variety of coffee makers was a real surprise. The French press was used everyday!

Access to the water pool was trecherous. The facility pool was nice.

The apartment hotel was spacious and had amazing ocean views. I would recommend requesting an apartment on the second floor, for example Apt #2. Baia da Barca is located on the outskirts of Madelena, walking distance into town and the ferry terminal. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We had the big split level appartement. Privy but what a view. Top floor with balcony was so nice. On one site the ocean from other bedroom view on Mountain Pico (when not in the clouds)

Living room was kind of basic for the enormous smoust of space. A bit of a luxery problem. Not really in the center of Madalena but that is tiny and spread out anyway

Absolutely beautiful seaside location with gorgeous sunset views.

Though the pool wasn't heated when we were there, it would've been nice to have some of the lounge chairs out and available.

Relaxed atmosphere, very comfortable rooms and the kitchenette was very useful

Check times of local restaurants - closing days and hours vary a lot

Apartment was very clean. Kitchen well equipped to make simple meals. Easy walk to town and many nice restaurants. We enjoyed our stay.

The staff are very professional and friendly. Special mention to Ana for being gracious, hardworking and answered any questions I had. She also let me in to fill up more water even though she was closing. Overall, my stay was comfortable. The place was very peaceful in a great location. The facilities were generally great. Best breakfast I had in all of the places I've stayed at including the fresh baked goods. Superb

My only complaint was the lack of a cancellation policy after booking within 24hours. The sauna could be hotter and the Atlantic swimming hole wasn't too maintained. Either than that, the place is great.
