Everything about this hotel was FAB. It's in a stunning location looking out to the sea and even though out room was at the back of the hotel we had a lovely city view. The room itself was spotless and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing, with a lot of options to suit all tastes.and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. A special mention for Manuela at reception, who was very helpful in giving us directions to a lovely walk along the cliff top to a lighthouse tourist attraction with lovely eateries

This is a very nice, clean, centrally located hotel in Cascais. The rooms are spacious enough and the balcony, facing the beach was an added bonus. The rooftop swimming pool area is nice, although the pool is covered. The street level bar, indoors and out is spacious and nice. The breakfast selection is excellent.
We didn't particularly like the covered rooftop swimming pool. Although our room was nice, there were no shelves in the closet, which is ok if you only have suits and evening dresses to hang, but shelves for shirts and such and only one drawer, which meant that we had to keep most of our stuff in our suitcases, Although the hotel is a beachfront hotel, the beach is located in the inner harbor and is only about the size of 3 or 4 tennis courts.

The location of this hotel is perfect. Literally a 30 second walk across the road to the beach, with bars and restaurants all a minute away. We had a seafront room, and whilst there was some external road noise as other reviews have said, it wasn't enough to keep us awake. Breakfast was great with many different options available, but we didn't eat at the hotel at any other times. Room was comfortable and clean with lovely power shower, and enough space on the balcony to watch the world go by. We used the roof terrace a couple of times, with plenty of beds and chairs available as well as a good quick bar service.
No fault whatsoever to report with the hotel. Room rate possibly heading towards the upper end purely due to its perfect location.

Great breakfast bar,... lots of healthy choice and good food..... Have not found better
We booked room 402 because of reports that the front of the hotel could suffer from a little local noise,... We should have booked the sea-view..... The sound-proofing in the city facing room was exceptional,... it managed to reduce the sound from the many busy, restaurants, clubs and street entertainers, to a back ground of white noise. And contrary to previous Booking.com reviews, there was actually more noise on the city facing side.

The location is amazing. We paid for a superior room wit balcony facing the sea but we didn't get to enjoy the hotel and Cascais as much as we would have liked as we were in bed for nearly all of our 3 night stay as we both had horrendous coughs and gastroenteritis. We ended up going to hospital on our second day as it turned out we had covid. We warmed the housekeeping team to avoid our room in case they got sick and they were grateful that we had given them the heads up. I will definitely return to check this hotel out properly. I really wanted to try their breakfast but I was asleep more or less for the whole 3 night break. Luckily the aircon is a dream and the beds are very large and comfortable.
The room was a little smaller than expected and there was no extractor fan in the bathroom so the bathroo got very steamy.

The staff starting at the front desk, to the waiters, maids, bartender were extremely helpful, hospitable, kind and always in a good mood and willing to make us feel at home. The location is undeniably the perfect spot to enjoy all thatCascais has to offer!!!!!! It is walking distance to everything! Shops, restaurants, beach, pharmacy, train station...and We were lucky enough to enjoy Festas do Mar which were live concerts and entertainment right in front of our eyes! We had a sea view room and I would book it time and time again! The view front our balcony was breathtaking! Do not hesitate to stay at Hotel Baia! It will not disappoint!
The hotel definitely needs a Gym and more lounge chairs on the rooftop! And yoga on the beach would be nice too!

Location is great in lovely Cascais. We had a sea view room with balcony and the view was beautiful especially early morning. Spotlessly clean everywhere and very comfortable. We appreciated the daily bottles of water in our room. Sun terrace on the roof has great views but not many sunbeds for the size of the hotel.
Breakfast could be improved - the plates were tea plate size so barely able to fit a slice of toast on them ! Most of the hot items at breakfast were only lukewarm. And for the price the hotel is charging per night a pot of coffee per table would be nice rather than poor quality coffee self served from a machine.

The staff was really nice. We had half board and they immediately remembered our preferences for the rest of the stay. The receptionists were always very helpful. The premises were nice and clean. The breakfasts were very good, typical continental with eggs and bacon etc as well as nice pastries. Dinners were fancy, 3 courses of fine dining. Even though it was limited for me as I am lactose intolerant, the restaurant staff did their best to accommodate it, for example by offering me sorbet as a dessert since there was no no-lactose desert in their dinner menu. Overall, though, we agreed that this was definitely a great hotel and was well worth the price. It said it was a 3 star hotel but we thiught it was definitely high 3 or nearly 4 star-like.
This was unfortunate for us but we were there during a festival that was right outside of the hotel, so it was quite loud there and the hotel had some staffing problems so some things took more time than expected. Also, the dinner menu was limited, and did not change during our stay, maybe because of the festival going on there. So by dinner 4 it was difficult to choose so it's not repetitive. Not ideal if you have allergies or intolerance like I do. Another downside was the temperature of their inside pool. We'd hoped it would be at least 24 but it was only 21-22 degrees Celsius, most people opted not to go in and instead just lay in the sun. I may be mistaken but I think it was pretty cold for most people.

Great location, nice and professionally run hotel with parking , great views and legit breakfast. Everything was clean and bed was very comfortable. Room was large with nice views of beach and square. Close to the Cascais attractions and really the place to stay. Ideally would have done one more night to see the extended area.
Everything was great, although the rates are a little high but really hard to beat the views and location. Would stay again and highly recommend. The only thing we noticed in our short stay was the refrigerator didn’t really seem to cool. If staying longer we would have requested a fix.

Its location was fantastic and everything was so clean and well appointed! Breakfast on the terrace out the front of the property was excellent.
The only thing that slightly went wrong was the air conditioning unit started leaking at 11:30pm at night making the floor wet and it was loud - but I rang down to reception, someone came straight away, offered me a room change but as it was late I just turned the unit off as the room was lovely and cool anyway! It was just unlucky it happened and I’d still give the property 10/10 due to how brilliant the staff are!
