Great location and lovely room. Staff exceptionally helpful

Great location was a double edge sword. Being near the square and main tourist area also meant being in ear shot of the night clubs. Poor nights sleep because dance night club with exceptional load music played until 6am, had to keep windows closed to help dampen night club noise (night club won). With no A/C, windows closed, it got hot which just added to the discomfort. Other main issue is 5 stories and no elevator. Staff helped with bags to room, but everything you went in and out you had 5 flights of stairs to finish your trip with.

A lovely, traditional guesthouse located in the city centre. Spacious and well-lit rooms are located behind the understated exterior. My room (bedroom with an en suite bathroom) was clean and cozy with a beautiful view over the roofs of the city.

- Absence of fruits at breakfast - Not universally accessible (only stairs are available) - No introduction to staff (A staff member coincidentally opened the front door as I arrived to check in and I saw the same person again during breakfast but I was unaware of their exact role)

Great location, very central. The room was nice and big, very comfortable and nicely decorated. Very clean. Breakfast was good and the staff were very helpful. There were three of us and there were no issues with space or the sofa bed. There is no parking but we parked about a 4 minute walk away at Centro PT, R. Olímpio Nicolau Rui Fernandes 208, 3000-330. There is an underground and small surface car park which costs about 50 cents per hour up to 6pm then its free overnight. Free on public holidays. We used the surface car park so not sure how much the underground one is.

It can be noisy from people in the street below after the bars shut so if you're a light sleeper take some ear plugs. I'm a very light sleeper but I was fine with ear plugs.

The location was great for sightseeing. Exceptional breakfast, coffee in the room, good wifi. Extra bed for our daughter was perfect. One of few places that had wash rags in the bathroom.

The contact free check-in was efficient, but we prefer to meet our hosts so we can ask questions like restaurants. Room warned up quickly but was set quite cold initially to save energy. Would be nice to have a few things in the room, like a mini fridge to keep food in, a bottle opener, and kleenex.

Very good location to visit the old town. Large and cleaned room, furnished tastefully. Confortable bed. Excellent breakfast, served by kind and professional staff (who was also wearing the face mask). There's no private car park but there's a convenient public park at short distance.

A little bit "cold" atmosphere since there's nobody who welcomes the guests. There's a self-check-in and check-out. The only people we met were the waitresses. Our room has an open window (i.e. without glass) between bedroom and bathroom....

Very comfortable, tastefully decorated suites, unexpected continental breakfast, instructions on accessing the entry very good, location next to the plaza and restaurants was fantastic, charming spot wish we had more time.e

Finding the apartment using Google maps was a nightmare, very frustrating and it is located on a very narrow lane that acts as a road and pedestrian access, have to find a park and walk

great location and very clean; fan really helped for those hot days.

The only complaint we have is the lack of help to find reasonable parking. It took us over an hour to figure out where we could park - just across the bridge from the main entrance was parking for $3.50 euros a day. They should know this and pass on to their guests as in town parking could be 25 euros or more.

Great location, easy to find and very comfortable. We were a family of 5 and booked 2 separate rooms. Both rooms were larger than anticipate, nicely furnished and the bathroom / water pressure were great. Our children are 18, 20 & 21 and loved the location, view and raved about the breakfast. Beds were comfortable and there was minimal city noise. We slept with the windows open so you do hear typical city noise in the morning, but it wasn't an issue for us. There is AC in each room. There is not an elevator, so if you are not able to navigate stairs then it may not be the best option for you. We had no trouble at all.

Nothing! Kids did mention the split wall concept for ventilation in the bathroom that others have noted, but they didn't think it was an issue, more something they weren't used to.

BEAUTIFUL room, spacious, comfortable bed and all facilities in it. Breakfast was absolutely amazing - pastries, toast, yogurt and fruit pots, tea and coffee and orange juice. Staff was lovely. Very central location. Info given in advance is spot on.

Toilet room wasn't too private (part of the wall is this funky wood separation with gaps in between. It could get awkward

Lovely breakfast in a great location. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they carried a bag downstairs for us.

The stairs. When you arrive you have quite a few stairs to climb. It is only a problem when you have a heavy/big bag. Not an issue if you have a backpack or smaller bag but this is a minor issue and we will stay here again!
