The staff is exceptional, I don't remember that I interacted with anyone better. They are always smiling and always helping. When we interact with anyone of them, we feel very welcomed. All staff in the reception are wonderful people. I wish I can mention each one of them by name, but I don't remember all the names. At breakfast, Mr. Megeul is amazing person, ready to support with any matter, at all times, with a very big smile. The location is up on a hill. You can have a walk in multiple directions, and you will see very beautiful scenery. The rooms are very clean and organised, they are also bigger than average hotel rooms. You have coffee, milk and sugar with the coffee machine. You have a safe. You also have a hairdryer and small fridge.

I have two comments: The restaurant can be improved in some aspects. Also the bathroom doors can not be locked from inside.

We stayed in the newer part of the hotel, and our room was spacious with a lovely view. The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of options. I was genuinely impressed by the selection and quality.

We had dinner at the hotel one evening, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet our expectations. The dishes lacked flavor and felt underwhelming. We found much better dining options in the village.

The room was lovely. Sadly the view does to match the beauty of the building! The pool and spa area were wonderful, and empty during the day although they did fill up Friday evening! Breakfast had a good spread but the hot food was a bit disappointing, scramble eggs should be freshly cooked, not standing and getting rubbery. Excellent juices and coffee and some interesting options on the buffet that I loved, overnight oats with banana and chia were great!

The hot breakfast options - otherwise everything about my stay was friendly, hopefuls dn wonderful

Great location. Can go straight into the mountains walking from the hotel. Beautiful mountains. Lots of trails. Hotel is beautiful. Has an outdoor pool and an indoor spa. Staff very friendly. Very friendly with dogs too.

The bathroom in our original room. It was a disabled bathroom and very shocking when not warned about it. Staff at reception not trained to resolve problem. Had to pay for an upgrade as no other rooms were available. Got refund in the end after sending in complaint letter. Overall satisfied but could have avoided the negative experience by training staff to solve issues immediately and not wait for a dissatisfied customer experience to then try to fix it.

The staff was always smiling and very helpful, making our stay truly enjoyable. The pool and spa area were excellent, providing a perfect space to relax. Both restaurants were outstanding—the outdoor one was truly amazing. The breakfasts were good, and the hotel is set in a beautiful, historic building with attention to every detail. Our son was thrilled to receive his own set of toiletries, small slippers, and a teddy bear. We will definitely return to this hotel in the future.

The only small drawback was that children are allowed in the pool only until 6:00 PM, but I understand this is to ensure that adults can enjoy a more peaceful spa experience. So, it's a tiny issue, and really, it didn’t matter much.

Dear reader Even though I don't usually give reviews because they are usually subjective, I would like to give one now. I stayed at this beautiful hotel together with a work colleague in CW12 2024. We were given a very warm welcome, almost like a family, and you could see how everyone looked after the guests. The breakfast was excellent and you got everything you needed the homemade bread or the rolls were very tasty. The restaurant was also very good, for the first time in my life I ate goat, a speciality, I can only recommend trying it. All in all it was a great time on site and I highly recommend this hotel. Regards Michael

Wow, wow and wow. This is something else. We stayed in the old part and absolutely loved it. The area is fabulous too with lots to see and do. Spa and indoor pool facilities are great. The outdoor pool and shade in the garden are stunning. Breakfast and all meals truly superb

I contacted property re coffee at breakfast as not good and they said they would look at changing. Fab communication and attention to detail

Centrally located , beautiful historic place

In The new wing the corridors are poorly done compared with old wing . In the new wing the corridors look like a hospital . Rooms are super comfortable and nice . You have to change the carpets in the corridors of the old wing and the bathrooms in the rooms should have walk in showers instead of bath tubs . In the restaurant you sell a bottle of wine that costs 20/30€ you sell it for 150€ . It’s too much .

Clean, nice restaurant. Earnest staff.

It would be icing on the cake if the staff were more knowledgeable When asked about the trails, we were asked to scan a QR code which was not very useful. We would have preferred a physical map with clear instructions. We ended up using Google maps which led us to use the tar roads for cars which can be dangerous as the roads are meandering. Also, the servers were unable to help us with the wine list although they do try very hard.

Absolutely everything!! Brilliant check-in from staff - friendly and warm welcoming. It was super cold outside but it was really nice and warm inside. The rooms were really lovely and super comfortable. There was a small, really thoughtful gift on the bed when I arrived. There was also a really lovely body scrub to use (similar to what is used in the spa apparently). The breakfast was brilliant. There was good choice of products: bread, sweets, cheese and everything was top-notch quality. I don't particularly like being served at the table to get coffee but it worked well. These little touches plus the brilliant breakfast make me want to come back!

Nothing, everything was great. I didn't visit the spa.
