The room was bigger than I expected, it was high up which made us feel safe and there wasn't a lot of noise outside. The curtains also make it pitch black inside and we slept like logs. We greatly appreciated the aircon and even though we left the bath window open during the night not a single bug entered. There's a lof of space to leave items and even "hide" luggage. The gentleman at the desk was friendly and popped our luggage into the room once it was available (we were out). We slept well could've stayed there another night.

I will say the elevator is hilariously slow 😂 but works and that's all we needed!

Andre is very professional and yet warm. He is a people person. Location is walking distance to the center of Coimbra. Enjoyed walking crossing the bridge. We loved the morning breakfast at Rio, next door. Restaurants are walkable in distance. Bathroom is small which is the normal in European countries. But it is well maintained. Very clean. Bedsheets are clean and so with the room. There is also a cozy kitchen that you can use. Location is very safe. THERE IS AN ELEVATOR GOING TO THE RECEPTION ROOM.

Suggestion: Must instruct the prospective visitors how to access the elevator.

The location of this hotel is perfect for visiting the city. It is convenient to many restaurants and other attractions. The room is clean, it was comfortable to stay in. The staff were friendly and helpful, made check-in and check-out very easy. Parking was also convenient, it is right next to the hotel with very affordable rates.

We didn't know the terrace was a common space based on the photos, instead of being attached with the attic room. However, it didn't affect our experience, since it was right across from the attic, and the view is as promising as shown.

Very friendly and cheerful staff. Room was clean and spacious enough, equipped with a fridge, a coffee machine and a heater. Plenty of storage space for your stuff. Comfortable bed and pretty quiet at least during the night I was there. The 4th floor terrace must be nice in warmer weather, with good views.

I really don't care for the nestle capsule coffee things, for ecological and ethical reasons. The heater made a peculiar smell in the room but was effective. The bedside light was really bright there being no lampshade. On the other hand the bathroom mirror could use some light for better shaving.

The room was quiet even though it was on a busy street. The view from our room facing the front of the building was very nice (you can see the city - see photo). Our room had a balcony which was nice. The hotel was a very reasonable walk over the bridge from the town. There are a number of restaurants on the strip where the hotel was. You can use the street parking in front and to the side of the hotel at a reasonable fee (you do have to pay each day with coins).

The rooms are a bit tight. The elevator did not work when we arrived and was limited to two people. The keypads were hard to "wake up" to enter the rooms.

The apartment was great value for money, excellent location with convenient parking right next door and an easy walk over the river to the centre of the old city with loads of cafes and restaurants. it was easy to find and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The apartment was spotlessly clean. The aircon was great as well for the hotter days.

The bedroom was a bit smaller than we were expecting, with just enough room to walk around the bed as you came through the apartment door. Thankfully there was room under the bed to slide our suitcases. However, the positives far outweighed this slight negative.

the room i was assigned to has no desk, even though I specifically tried to book a room with a working desk. so there may be some misalignment between pictures I saw and room I ended up getting. the common area (kitchen) has a table to work on but it’s too cold to stay outside of the room as the common area has no heating. wifi also broke down from time to time which made video call difficult when it coincided with the time wifi decided to act up

Convenient location close to everything, flexible self check-in, super clean and comfortable room, nice bed. A big parking lot just around the corner (free at night from 8pm to 9am, paid during the day). There's an elevator in the building which is helful for senior people, but there's a very funny thing - it's the slowest elevator I've ever seen :)) It's literally crowling from floor to floor. Anyway, beter this one than no elevator at all :)

We enjoyed to stay at JR Studios & Suites I Rius. Andre is excellent. He helped us to find a parking place and also helped us to carry our luggage. He is the best during our stay in apartments in Portugal. The location is excellent to visit Coimbra with a car parking next to the apartment. Even we can see our car in the parking lot. It is not in Coimbra old town. However, it is much better than old town. No traffic issues. Also in a very short walking distance from town center (just cross the river). The apartment has everything you need.

Spotlessly clean. Excellent location, only 8 min walk across bridge into town. Very well set up. Comfortable. Only one negative highlight - this hotel is on the main road in to town - lots of traffic noise. If you could get room on back side of building, that would be best. Odd number room. Huge parking lot behind hotel so easy parking. €7 per day but after hours and weekends, hate goes up so you do not need to pay. Lots of places to eat close by but no grocery store close. Highly recommend this place
