The staff was wonderful! When you check in, the person at the front desk will helpfully provide you with a local map and sites and restaurant recommendations. The staff were helpful at all times King suite room was spacious; beds for 3 adults (one king, one single). Short walk to all the Roman Temple, Chapel of Bones, main square; everything in town. Nice outdoor terrace for drinks, breakfast, tapas. Excellent breakfast: buffet and made to order eggs. Bar service available 24/7. Great staff, location, rooms, and grounds; need I say more?

What a wonderful hotel, a restored olive mill within the castle walls. We were upgraded on arrival to a huge room, vaulted ceilings, large bed, with a view of the patio area. The staff are lovely. The furniture is very unusual, with a few stuffed sheep around (?) We loved the patio area and it was ideal for a drink in the evening after a meal in the village. Everything is within walking distance. The chapel of bones is a spectacle! Cobbled streets everywhere - comfortable shoes! Breakfasts lovely, everything you could want. We managed to park easily at the property. There are 10 parking places underground.

We booked the "Double Room with Terrace" (Rm 17). It was quite large with a nice terrace which overlooked the internal courtyard & views to the west. The bed was comfy, the room was nice & the bathroom was nice with standard shower, toilet & single sink. The staff were very friendly & helped us find a restaurant for lunch when we arrived & provided us with a town map & outlined where all the highlights were located. They also arranged a 90mins city tour for us with a guide (40 Euro) Location was inside the old city walls which made it an easy walk to the sights & town centre, & no serious hills (like in Lisboa). Breakfast was a buffet & catered for all requirements. They cooked eggs 3-4 different ways to meet your needs. Underground parking was very handy as we had a car - this cost us 10Euro per day.

The room was showing a bit of age & may require an overhaul in the near future. Other than that, no major concerns from us.

Likes: Loved the nice room we had had which has a separate seating room with two tvs- one in bedroom and seating room; bed was comfortable and we had nice sheets and comforter, courtyard and main rooms of hotel were charming; nice to get bottle water in a room as complimentary; nice hot shower. They helped us find a local wine tour guide which we really appreciated Dislike: a small part of the floor in our room was discolored as it looked like the refrigerator may have leaked in a past and wish they had repaired it as room was charming and large and was very nice except for this.

What a great hotel, tucked within the city walls. Parking was 10 euros/day, and the garage fills up quickly - although it was very convenient. The hotel has made efforts to be eco friendly (fixed bottles of shampoo and soap in the bathroom, paper laundry bags, etc), and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice, with eggs available upon order - and lots of fresh fruit.

Getting in/out of the hotel by car can be difficult if you have a larger car/vehicle. The roads are narrow, and there are sometimes cars parked on the street that limit maneuverability in tight spaces just outside the hotel entrance.

We loved the hotel's location, ambience, and aesthetics, especially the lounge and bar area. The young girl at the desk was exceptionally helpful, always with a smile. This included making reservations for us, for a tour and a local restaurant, which was the best we had in Portugal. She cheerfully answered any question we had, and never hesitated to help with whatever we needed, as well as our choices at the bar. She made our stay extra pleasant. We would highly recommend this hotel.

We were sad that the weather did not permit us to sit in the lovely outdoor area and pool.

This was our second stay at this hotel, the first being about two years ago. We came back because we enjoyed the stay so much the first time. The hotel was in an excellent location, and parking was available on-site (for a fee). The staff was helpful and friendly, the breakfast was wonderful, and most of all, the price was good/reasonable (we are aware it's the low season in February). We love Evora and will be back. A part of us wants to try other hotels in the area, but it won't be easy not to choose to come back to this hotel.

This is good, simple hotel with beautiful lounge zone, nice staff and “Evora atmosphere”.

Unfortunately, in my humble opinion, this is good 3 stars hotel, not 4 stars… There are too many points that could be slightly improved. - 1st of all, not clear why should Customer pay 10 euros per day extra for the underground parking that belongs to the hotel ( and was empty during my stay). - Breakfast variety was poor, pineapple not good, orange juice just terrible 😞 - There was tea in the room, but not a Kettle… doesn’t make any sense))) - If you book room with terrace, ask for the highest floor possible. My room was on the 1st floor and everything I saw was mostly roof and wall :)) Terrace could be “upgraded “ with sunbeds or at least nice comfortable chairs… In general, its a good hotel, but for the price they ask, you obviously have better options in Evora.

This is a beautiful hotel, with plenty of common space to make the stay very comfortable: a large lounge with several sofas, a table and chairs surrounding by bookcases, a bar, and an outdoor patio. We liked the underground parking, spacious room with a king-size bed, separate heater in the bathroom, plenty of handy outlets for charging up devices, and a comfy chair in the room. Eggs, bacon and pancakes to order in the morning were a pleasant surprise! The staff were polite and very accommodating.

We stayed at the Albergaria for several nights in the first half of April, 2024. We loved our stay there. The room, which had a sitting area, was spacious. Our room was on the ground floor, we heard zero noise from overhead. The decor of the hotel is comfortable and charming; many of the items in the lobby are from the area. The breakfast was excellent, as was the service. The staff was unfailingly courteous and helpful; we would note especially the crew of new employees under training at reception and filling guests' requests. They were attentive and above average. We did drive to the hotel. We never had a problem finding a spot downstairs in the hotel's parking garage (11 spots). Note it was early April, so low tourist season. The hotel is located in the northern half of the historic center of Evora. To get down to the true historic center and the shops is a not a difficult or far walk for most people. Restaurants not far from the Albergaria, all of which were wonderful: The Lombardo, O Trovador, Fialho, the Taskinha. We eat gluten-free; most restaurants were alergies-aware. The maitre-d at the Trovador was tops. If you can make it to the mountain castle of Monsaraz, fabulous!
