Extremely large comfortable bedroom

Restaurant experience disappointing - poolside cafe was very good - all staff were excellent

As always, the staff are wonderful and polite at all times. The food is good, and the rooms are always clean. They make an excellent Caesar salad, which is our favourite. The beds are very comfortable and the aircon is quiet.

Sadly, after many visits over the years, the suite we have is now somewhat shabby and in need of some refurbishment. My husband sat on a chair in the lounge of our hotel room, and it collapsed. The tap in the bathroom was leaking all the time. For the amount of money they charged, for just 3 days, and being a 5-star hotel, we would have expected a flawless and impeccable room. The breakfast has also changed; they used to serve pots of coffee, and now it's all buffet food and machine coffee.

During the difficult hours of the general power system collapse in Portugal and Spain, we arrived at the hotel to check in. • No communication, no elevator, no use of the hotel facilities, and no possibility of using the shower and toilet - this is not the hotel's fault. I do not blame the hotel, but the receptionist Sousa Toledo Gonçalo received us with a cold and robotic face, without any consideration for the anxiety we were in. • We are 75-year-old adults. • As a service provider to people my whole life, I would not employ such a person at the reception desk of a 5-star hotel.

The hotel lobby is very nice, the breakfast buffet was excellent (however not tasty coffee) The pools are small but nice and clean with always available/free sun-beds The staff is helpful to solve all the questions Comfy beds in the room Parking garage is very handy in such a hot weather Gym is well equipped they open it for request if you want to use it out of the opening hours

The internet is very poor sometimes it did not even work at all The cleaning in the room was not done properly, the trash bin was not even emptied, cleaning of the bathroom was not thorough The surrounding of the building did not look really safe, we wanted to go to run but we decided to stay in the hotel’s gym The airco in the room could not cool down the room and there is no airco in the gym

We had a lovely 8 night stay at in Real marina the location was perfect close to all restaurants and bars. The facilities in the hotel were very good and thankfully we never had a problem getting sun loungers everyday at the pool. We would certainly go back to this hotel and Olhao itself is definitely worth a visit.

There was not really anything we didn’t like. I would love if there had been an outside area for breakfast it’s always a bonus. The only other thing was a problem was getting served at the hotel pool bar it was extremely slow but overall it was a fabulous stay.

Spacious light well appointed public areas. Lovely efficient and professional staff. Great variety and choice at breakfast.

Guests being allowed to place towels on sun loungers before breakfast and leaving them there all day even when vacating the pool area for hours at a time. Several times we visited the pool area to find that many of the loungers were empty but towels were on them and so were unable to use them. This was very unfair as we had paid for use of the facilities but due to the selfishness of other guests we were unable to make use of them. Surely you should have a policy which prevents guests from doing this. If you have insufficient loungers available there should be a booking policy so guests can only book a lounger for say 4 hours.

Great hotel ! lovely staff , the room was clean gifted with all you need , great coffee machine . What I was loved the most always bottle of water brought straight at your door . Fridge work great for what you need , good temperature.

The Inside pool wasn’t working, they still renovated, I wasn’t happy at all first time when I saw that because, nobody text me before to let know about this issue, I saw when I was already there . I didn’t want to make a complain , because I didn’t ruin my holiday . Thanks God we had a great time with good temperatures and my daughter had great time in the pool outside. About the breakfast, good and tasty, the only complain I can say ,same food every single day , they should be more diversity food . But tasty and fresh . We enjoyed fresh orange juice , made the machine.

My family of 2 children and 2 adults spent 1 night in this hotel. It was quiet season so check-in was quick and the staff were very helpful. We ordered combined rooms which were large, clean and nicely decorated. The beds were large and very comfortable (some of the best hotel beds I've slept in in recent years). The breakfast dining hall was nice and the food great. The swimming pool/spa area was located on the 1st floor and had nice views over the sea. The kids loved the pool as it was raining outside.

The only slight issue I experienced was that my room was clearly a smoking or ex-smoking room. The smell of cigarette smoke was quite strong so I had to open the windows in order to try and clear the air. Unfortunately, the smell is likely ingrained in furniture/walls etc and so its permanent. I could have transferred rooms but after unpacking I felt I could deal with the minor issue but I reported it to the hotel as a concern they may wish to address.

The property is clean and the rooms are spacious with plenty of storage. Great views out to sea. Easy walk to the marina, to ferries and to tours. Twenty minute walk to train station. The staff are all super helpful and pleasant, the spa is great. The swimming pool was out of action whilst we were there but it was good nevertheless.

Erm, it’s pretty hard to find anything really. If I were to be picky I’d say the details should include which rooms have the sun in the morning and afternoon as that could help room choices. It’s on a main road so be aware of that but it’s so handy for everything.

Room was large and comfy with a great view of the port. Staff were extremely friendly and available at any time. Breakfast was great with tons of options, couldn’t ask for more! We were also pleasantly surprised to be offered a take-out breakfast bag due to our very early departure on our last day - this was a nice touch. Pool area is enjoyable; the indoor pool was closed during our stay but we imagine it will be lovely to use once refurbished.

We ate a couple of times in the hotel and the food was tasty, though the portion sizes were quite small. Otherwise, no complaints 😊
