The villas are designed beautifully. They've thought of everything and the baskets with wheels that you could throw your beach stuff in to walk down to the beach was a lovely touch. Loved how there were 4 different locations to sit outside our villa! 4!

Some of the staff weren't as helpful as others. There was a misunderstanding about when I had booked a spa treatment and the situation was dealt with badly - I ended up not having a treatment - those members of staff need customer service training. They eventually agreed they were in the wrong and provided a discount to our whole tab bill.

Lovely location if you want to chill out away from tacky pubs and cheap cafe/restaurants. This is what I call a resort with resort style facilities. We had a 2 bed apartment with all facilities including a fully equipped kitchen with washer dryer. Living room with large TV outdoor table and chairs and sun loungers. The main bedroom had a ensuite shower and toilet but was more like a wet room set with a glass panel. The second room had a two single beds and a main bathroom outside the room with shower and toilet. There was also a separate toilet as well ( yes 3 toilets 2 bedrooms). The facilities included an out door pool with separate baby paddling pool, sun loungers and tennis courts, volleyball court. Indoors you have a pool jacuzzi and steam room, spa treatments also by appointments. In the reception you have a nice lounge area friendly staff with a bar restaurant area. This is not a place for party goers it's a place to relax with the beach and outside restaurants in walking distance. We had a hire car so we had activities booked for our stay here but nice to have facilities to chill out with at night. We noticed a lot of golfers, Families with young kids and couples stayed here. Highly recommend lovely location.

It's not within walking distance of a town but a supermarket is only 1km away. Hard to put any dislikes maybe if your looking for bars or nighty clubs this isn't for you.

Our apartment was very spacious, two large bedrooms and bathrooms, good beds, etc. and with a kitchen that is fully equipped. The staff is very friendly and hospitable. Here they think along with you and they do not nag about an extra detergent or dishwasher block, these are replenished if necessary.

Sometimes it does not go completely smoothly with the communication. They are easy to reach, via (apartment) telephone, whatsapp and 24 hour reception, but the content of the communication could sometimes be a bit clearer. But nothing to worry about.

Very clean and the villa was amazing very modern clean and spacious. Beautifully planned out. Great amenities like padel and tennis very well Organised with the what’s up group being able to book easily. Car park within the premises very comfortable and safe. Staff extremely helpful and welcoming

Not enough shade around the complex. Breakfast and dinner stays at the resort not very inviting because of the location, joint with reception also not ideal. Pool area a bit crowded and busy months not enough deck chairs. Gym and spa area extremely small not inviting at all Dogs require to pay a fee a bit over proved especially when you take a very small dog of 2 kilos should be less or none at all.

The apartment was very spacious and clean looking, it was very well equipped. The pool area and also the wellness area were amazing. The pool bar at the pool was great as well. I really enjoyed my massage I booked (it was pricy, however, I understand that), the staff was very welcoming and kind. The location is also great, there is an amazing beach just 10 minutes from the property, which we really enjoyed!

There are a couple of things, the pool bar food service could’ve been open longer (they serve food until 17:30, however, we didn’t see sign about that anywhere), the outdoor pool unfortunately closes at 8pm, which is a shame, it could’ve been open to at least 10pm, we would’ve used it way more. Also the rooftop bar was not open at all during our stay, which was a shame. But these things I just listed didn’t affect our stay at all. However, we really didn’t like how there were always children in the whirlpool in the wellness area, when it clearly stated that there were no children under 14 allowed. There definitely should’ve been someone to monitor this, as it made the enjoyment of the whirlpool a little uncomfortable.

Great apartment, with a fully equipped kitchen. Everything was very functional. The apartment has a great area with a terrace and a garden. Bed is very comfortable. The resort has 1 outdoor swimming pool big enough for all the guests and 1 smaller indoor swimming pool and a jacuzzi, which were perfect to end the day after the beach. The beach is within walking distance. The resort has bikes for the guests, we parked our car and used the bikes to go around town. Housekeeping were exceptional, super efficient and friendly.

What we did not like as much was the lack of surveillance in the swimming pools. Kids playing is expected, but not playing with football balls in the indoor pool and other situations we saw during our stay. These circumstances can be a factor for a bad experience as they can disturbe the rest of other guests.

The size of the room was huge. All staff were so friendly and helpful. In particular Sergio at the pool and Brian on reception.The villas and resort were a great place to unwind. Very chilled music by the pool. Easily accessible indoor pool. Fab food in restaurant. Within easy reach of restaurants and a few bars.

The only thing we could comment on would be the cleanliness of the verandas. Glass could have done with a clean. There were cobwebs too but not a major issue for us also we didn’t know what went in each recycling bin. Labelling would help.

The staff were excellent helping us with our luggage on our arrival and providing us with information about the resort as well as places nearby to visit and see. Indeed all the staff we met in the resort during our stay were friendly and clearly customer focused. Car parking was free and so easy to access. At this time of year, it was very quiet and peaceful. There is a beautiful small beach within a short walk and a nice Italian restaurant close by. We availed of their electric bikes to cycle into Armação de Pêra where there were plenty of restaurants, coffee shop and beaches. The accommodation was clean, presented as expected i.e. had everything we needed. We also used the gym facilities and jacuzzi. I loved the place and hope to come back again at some point.

We found the air conditioning system very good but we would have liked a manual of instruction to lower the sound of it

We loved our stay at white shell! The hotel is beautiful and calming. Staff in general and at the pool were so friendly and helpful and kind. Was the perfect location for us to do day trips but still be in a relaxing environment when we wanted to chill. Indoor and outdoor pool were perfect, as was the jacuzzi. The kids really enjoyed the bikes available for use.

One thing that could be improved is the daily cleaning of the villas which we felt could have been more thorough.
