Gorgeous property set in well maintained grounds with amazing sea and land views. The rooms are spacious, well decorated and equipped. Suite 210 has a hammock in the balcony with stunning sunset views. The hotel is quiet and peaceful, offering the perfect place for a relaxing break. The pool is an adequate size and well looked after with a pool bar with plenty of food and drink options. The pool made a beautiful backdrop to sit and have a drink by in the afternoons. There is no evening entertainment which made a refreshing change, allowing those who just wanted to hear the sounds of the crickets at night. All staff were friendly and welcoming, with nothing being too much trouble. Breakfast was plentiful, open at decent times to cater for early and late risers. Much was the same every morning, but the cakes and pastries were different every day, providing different options and a chance to try different items.

We only ate at the hotel restaurant once after a long day travelling, and whilst we were impressed with the food for the value changed (€30 per person for 4 courses), there is a problem with the waiting staff. The only problem is, there aren’t enough of them. At one point there was one waiter trying his best to get around all the customers. We feel the staff would have been happier and provided a better service if they weren’t rushed off their feet.

The hotel housekeepers were great and did a good job. Hotel had beautiful grounds lots of greenery. Two pools, glad there was a warmer heated one as main pool was quite cold. Attended a private party on one evening, food provided was lovely.

Some of the staff were a bit lax-a-daisy and were not very approachable. But some were very friendly. They had drilling work the first few days, no apologies or notifications about when this would be completed - was quite loud as this was right by the pool Hotel staff upgraded majority of the guests, however, I paid for an upgrade but was not offered refund or reduced rate. Many were upgraded from standard rooms to villas, was not sure of why this was and didn’t think it was fair. Coffee machine in the morning was very temperamental and needed to be fixed a number of times, bit frustrating as you had to pay for coffee in rooms

Stunning grounds and beautiful scenery. Staff were extremely helpful and good pools / gym and facilities. No on site shop so had to go into town for odd things but the staff went above and beyond such as always providing extra towels and water and a bottle of bubbly on the house. Really liked the added touch of the environmental incentive to give a discount voucher for a drink every day you didn’t have the room cleaned. Property was immaculate. Food was reasonably priced and nice, but not much variety so couldn’t eat there every night. Catered well for a large wedding party / group so well.

Could not walk anywhere off site due to location (although taxis were reasonable enough) No shop for amenities Limited food menu but what was available was nice enough and great selection of drinks / breakfast.

We spent a wonderful week in a comfortable 2 bedroom villa in Vale d'El Rei. Upon arrival, we were offered an upgrade to spacious, clean and fully equipped, with a private parking space villa, it's perfect for 4 adults. We are delighted with the picturesque, convenient location of the hotel and, above all, with the cleanliness and top quality of the service. The staff is exceptionally polite and helpful, the restaurant serves good, hearty breakfasts. The intimate surroundings of the swimming pool give a feeling of peace and relaxation. We will definitely come back to this lovely place.

The resort is very nice with nice areas and pig parking. We have initially booked a family room and were upgraded to a 2 bedrooms villa, which was very nice, with plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 children. The beds were very comfortable and the villa is very well equipped, including washing machine and dish washing machine. The breakfast was very nice, with daily fresh orange juice, and variety of pastry. The pool towels are also provided.

The cleaning was done daily but quite superficial in my opinion.

Absolutely loved this hotel! The location is perfect for a base in the Algarve area, close to all the best sights. Our room was great, with a nice view as well. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was a hit too. Lots of choices. The best part is the staff. Everyone we met was so kind and welcoming. From Daniel and Daniela at the front desk, to the housekeepers, to the breakfast room staff, they couldn't have been nicer. We would love to go back someday!

Nice clean hotel they were accomodating for a group of us who had special dietary requirements. Comfortable and spacious accomodation. Friendly staff. Good gym facilities

It's a bit far out and not much to do nearby within walking distance. The hotel had a private party on the last day of our stay, the pool area was noisy and not suitable for children to swim in as the private party took over. There was very little food choices available at the evening buffet due to the private party and car park was very busy. Turkish bath in spa wasn't working.

Beautiful hotel, with an amazing infinity pool, not too crowded, good breakfast with an omelette station and fresh orange juice. Beds very big and very comfortable, with air conditioning. Spa and gym on site too. Very nice staff, especially at reception. Free tennis and mini golf. Great cocktails! We were able to stay and use the facilities even after check-out, very appreciated!

Too expensive - above average for the area. The buffet dinner that was included was ok, nothing special.

Exceptional villa with stunning grounds. Nice main swimming pool with additional one close to the villas. Free shuttle bus to and from the centre, Carvoiero . Restaurant food really nice. Quiet surroundings with lots of scenic spots to chill and relax admiring the nature around. Access to a nearby tennis court is a bonus although it was so difficult to locate it. Better directions required.

The breakfast room is too small for the size of the hotel. Quite crowded at busy times. The gym is not functional and it's quite small with just a couple of machines.
