The location was perfect for me, and I like to have the convenience of a microwave/refrigerator when I travel and I didn't find anything on AirBnB or VRBO that suited me in Porto, so As Vizinhas was a great selection. The communication by e-mail and WhatsAPP was very quick and easy, the the self check-in was ideal since I don't like having to schedule a time to meet someone. The location was ideal for getting everywhere in Porto and I had a view from the terrace across to Vila Nova da Gaia from the cafe table in the living area. I parked my car at Parque de estacionamento Saba Palácio da Justiça, which was about a 4-5 minute walk, and not hard to get in and out of with a small rental car. The unit was very spacious and comfortable, nicely appointed and the A/C was great because it was still very warm the first week of October.

There was no hair dryer when I arrived, and the host indicated there was a technical issue with it and it was replaced the next day. It may be minor to some people, but I need a hair dryer and never stay in a place without it! Although the communication was quick and ultimately it was resolved, there was no apology in the communication, it was all business. Hopefully this was a rare occurrence and other issues are handled with an apology.

Location was excellent. Property was clean but could perhaps do with more clothes storage as the drawers were full of spare pillows. Maybe some coat hooks near the door and a mirror in the main sitting area.

We immediately spotted that the bathroom extractor fan did not work (no outside window) and neither did one of the bedside lamps. We reported it straight away to the hosts who said they would send their maintenance team. We reminded them a few days later but during our week-long stay nobody ever came and fixed either of the problems.

We did not take breakfast (it is offered as an extra). The apartment was at the top of a 64 steps stairway, quite a climb (no elevator) but in line with the topography of Porto which is up and down anyway. It is a small but cozy apartment on the top floor of a well renovated old house in the historical center, sufficiently equipped and with a bit of phantasy, indeed with a very small piece of "view on the Douro river" over and between a lovely view over the rooftiles of the old city and of the city on the south bank of the river. The location is excellent with many bus-lines and the Central station nearby.

The interaction with the office through automated mails via the Booking.com site gets to be somewhat confusing and the telephone contact offers an answering machine in Portugese, but once the contact goes through the Info@**** site of the renting office everything goes smoothly and the office works very friendly and efficient

This is a converted 4/5 storey house with seven apartments. We initially booked a smaller studio which was on the back of the building. These are nice enough with a double bedroom, bathroom and kitchen area but due to the host having space we were able to move to one of the larger apartments on the front of the building for our last two nights and these are definitely worth trying to book if they are available. Ours was on the first floor with large glass doors and balconies. The main advantage of the front facing rooms is they have an additional “living” space which is just a bit more comfortable to sit in. Everything at the block is exceptionally well maintained. The hosts clearly care about their building and are available on WhatsApp for help. They also have a ring door bell on the ground floor as a remote reception desk which is a good solution. Building is really secure and in a great location. It isn’t that busy and the wine bar below was always quiet and closes at 10pm.

It is uphill from the station but if walking up hills is going to be an issue for you, avoid Porto!

Greta location, quiet, clean and comfortable.

The wifi was not so good and the local tv doesn’t work, but it’s not a real problem as you should be out exploring and eating pastel de nata.

The apartment is beautiful and clean, just like in the pictures. Bed was very comfortable! Communication with the host was good and made the check-in very easy. I loved that I could walk everywhere from here. Very close to several sights. If you prefer there's also a bus stop right around the corner I would book this accommodation again!

Would have been a 10 if the kitchen stove wasn't broken when I was there. Would have been nice to be able to cook some breakfast, but there's plenty of places around to go out to eat, so it didn't really bother me.

The apartment was beautifully designed with modern decor and thoughtful details, creating a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. The location was perfect, within walking distance to the main attractions of Porto. The bed was very comfortable, and the cleanliness was impeccable.

I would recommend bringing earplugs, as the soundproofing is not very effective. Also, a sleep mask might be helpful because there are many small indicator lights in the room that are hard to turn off, and they shine quite brightly at night.

It is a really good apartment, because: 1. Good location. 2. Clean. 3. You will have mostly everything in the apartments that you need. 4. Easy to check-in and check-out. 5. A really good breakfast for a 2-3 day stay.

I cannot say it is a minuses, it is a possible improvements: 1. No washcloth, rag and sunflower oil in the kitchen (it will be good to pay +5 eur in the booking price, but to have it in the apartments). 2. Breakfasts mostly the same from day to day. It is good for 2-3 days, but after that the breakfast is gradually getting boring. 3. Only soap in the bathroom. Not so comfortable for a head washing. 4. Please sharpen knives.

The appartment was perfect! Ideal location, close but not too close from the overcrowded riverside, just what is needed to be curious enough to visit the rest and more interesting part of this gorgeous city. No reception at the hotel, but all our questions were answered quickly and perfectly by whatsapp, and they were really nice to us with our early arrival and late departure. The appartment was perfect (the top one), extremely clean (we had the impression that we were the first guests!) and comfortable. The riverview mention may be a bit exagerated but again no problem since the view is really nice on the surroundings old houses. And the concept of bringing the breakfast (and the breakfast itself) on your door every morning is just perfect!

just to say something, some tea-bags for non-coffee drinkers in the breakfast would be perfect! But just to say something. Honnestly we'll come back!

The building is almost new, everything has been done to a high level and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The hosts make a lot of effort to ensure you are cared for, Pierre was there whenever we needed something and they are doing a great job with a nice atmosphere. They also have a wine bar below which is excellent for a nice drink and chill if you dont want to walk far.

Bed was comfortable and we slept well but it could have been slightly larger.
