My mother and father used the Crown Plaza not to far away from this hotel when I was in Vilamoura. I see in the reviews that people think the hotel is "Basic". The only difference between the Crown Plaza and this hotel is that the Crown Plaza is probably a bit more modern in their furnishing. Praia Sol is a touch dated, but still very very much acceptable. Other than that no difference. The place was bloody SPOTLESS, room cleaned daily, friendly staff, the room was really big (Bigger than the Crown Plaza Rooms) balcony was huge, breakfast was grand, filled a spot. Pool and lounge area was really really nice. I am 6ft 1 and 132 Kilos, not a small chap, and the beds were just fine. Genuinely have zero complaints about this place, a real find, great value for money and close to everything. Would 100% recommend. I asked the receptionist, was there any chance I could check out at 12 instead of 11? He didn't bat an eyelid, it was no issue. My room was also ready really early at 11am for check in. If you are looking for something a bit more modern, sure go to Crown Plaza or equivalent, but this place for the price you are paying is fantastic. Couldn't recommend more. In a really nice quiet area too.

Absolutely nothing.

We spent 6nights at Praia Sol last week on a little last minute getaway before our baby arrives. From the moment we checked in we felt like we were staying at a 5star hotel. The staff were all so helpful & friendly (Especially Andre) this guy will definitely be running his own hotel in the future. Always the biggest smile on his face, chatting with guests, tidying around, making sure everything was perfect. He even brought us an extra fresh piece of fruit every morning. The hotel itself was so clean, rooms cleaned daily, complimentary fresh biscuits/ sweets & water in the lobby for guests, bar area that also served pizzas/toasties, beautiful pool area with smaller jet pool & even brand new sun loungers. I am so looking forward to coming back to enjoy their new outdoor bar area that was being finished while we were there. I can't recommend this place enough it was incredible value for money & within 5-7 min walk to beach / quarteira & Villamoura marina

I honestly can't say a bad word about this place

I was travelling with friends and stayed here as a stopover for 1 night (20min from the airport) before we continued our journey, it was perfect location for us so we stayed another night on our way back. Very friendly, helpfull staff, very clean rooms and hotel, good continental breakfast, with free parking, close to the sea front and restaurants. For a 3 star i would Highly recommend it ☆☆☆☆☆

The hotel was in a fabulous location 5 minutes to the beach 7 minutes to the marina and about 20 minutes to town centre all walking times. Staff at the hotel were very friendly. Our room was very spacious with a huge bed a safe which was a bonus. All very clean lots of towels good water pressure and lots of hot water. The only downside was I couldn’t get the shower to come on and my husband also struggled. There is a nice pool(but we didn’t use it) Breakfast was good with a juicer to squeeze your own fresh orange juice with lots of oranges available. There was plenty of onsite parking We said we would definitely like to go back for a longer stay

The shower, not enough pillows and tea and coffee maker in the room would have been nice

My partner and I just left this hotel this morning, we stayed for 7 nights, and all I can say is from the moment we arrived ( super). We were greeted by Andre, who couldn't have been any more helpful. All of the staff are very attentive to their guests' needs and very prompt in their approach. The breakfast is delicious, with lots of choice and eggs made to order. Thank you to Louis, Andre, Savit, and Lavit. The hotel is well maintained, and housekeeping is done every day. Great location with shops and restaurants within a 5 minute walk, and the beautiful Vilamoura Marina within a 10 minute walk.

There is no complaints from us. We will see you all again.

Staff were very very helpful especially Louisa ….beautiful pool… loved the jacuzzi….. nice pool bar… briefest good…rooms clean we got a pool view which was gorgeous….hotel very close to the beach and fabulous beach bar called aqua club as you come off path towards the beach check it out

There was nothing we didn’t like… it was about 7 mins walk from the main marina but that suited us as we found lovely restaurants on the way over to the marina on the back streets also there were about 3 different routes to get from the hotel to the marina including the beach walk so loads of different places to stroll around also if you turn right on the beach walk you get to the marina but if you go to the left you get to a lovely local town, nice for dinner and had a few market stalls for gifts

We came for 3 nights for a long weekend looking for somewhere affordable with a good location. We were expecting it to be quite basic but wow were we proved wrong. From the moment we arrived it was great, lovely friendly staff, easy check in process and spotless big room with lovely view of pool. The breakfast is varied and of good quality with staff on hand to bring over freshly cooked eggs. The pool area is what you’d expect from a 4 star hotel, not 3; so clean and well kept with great little bar serving ice creams and ice cold Super Bok. We were so surprised at the quality of this hotel and were already thinking about when we can fit in another trip. Obrigado !

Loved the location. Staff were wonderful. The facilities and the pool were so clean and comfortable. The beds were very nice. Pool side bar was great and serves fabulous toasties

Breakfast was a small bit disappointing but was grand as we were only there for 4 nights. Wasn't much choice if you were staying longer and wanted some variety. Also the room only had one plug. A bit strange as some of the restaurants we went to had 2 plugs at each table. We managed because we had a powerbank which we charged at night and charged our phones off during the day but would be difficult to manage if we hadn't.

Thank you to all who helped make our stay in this hotel very pleasant. We really enjoyed our stay in Hotel Praia Sol and this is due in part to the professionalism and friendliness of the staff, they made us feel very welcome. And the comfort of the bed, our room was basic and acceptable but the bed was super comfortable. The overall cleanliness of the hotel and the rooms was excellent.The management should be very proud of the staff. The hotel is ideally located in a quite area with its own outdoor pool in a nice secluded setting and it's an 8 minute walk from beach, 3 min walk to restaurants and 8 min walk from Villamoura. We give this hotel a rating of 10 out of 10.

Not enough sockets or charging points in the room

The property was in a great location , lovely breakfast , lots of choice , eggs cooked on request , , bright foyer area , nice bar area with toasties and snacks available throughout the day . The staff were friendly and very accommodating .

The bedroom was dark as the curtains didn’t drawback completely from the window which was a pity as they stopped the natural light getting into the room . The shower was over the bath which was fine but there was no non slip mat available so the area was very slippery . It probably would have been available on request but we didn’t ask
