When I arrived late back in Porto the weather was too bad to continue my journey, so I tried to book at several hotels around the airport and even in towards town but there were no availabilities. Apparently, this is an almost constant issue. The Holiday Inn Porto Gaia was the only available hotel and the service was excellent.

The breakfast was rather poor quality. The food on the buffet hot plates was not good. After eating a disappointing, hot breakfast, I discovered that it is possible to have an omelette cooked to order but there was no indication of this at the anywhere at the time, in the breakfast room.

Well maintained rooms and great cleaning service. Would suggest to have some nuts or small snacks as part of compliementary which goes well with morning coffee.

Unable to set room air condition. At least there should be able to set the temperature during morning hours and before falling asleep. Sometime it felt really uncomfotable

We were given a large 30m2 bedroom on the 18th floor and the view of Porto was superb! The very large bed was extremely comfy and the bathroom very generously sized. The staff were all friendly and helpful, breakfast excellent and the light meal we had on arrival delicious.

Air conditioning in the breakfast area was too cold. As a coeliac I must eat gluten free and would have liked a few individual portions of jam; jam was served in glass containers and I saw people using the spoons to spread it directly onto pancakes and bread.

The hotel is located a bit off the main drag and was very quiet, yet still walkable to everything we wanted to do. We had a nice view from our room on the 18th floor. Beds were very comfortable.

I would have preferred a step in shower to the deep bathtub in the room.

The staff was super friendly. We've got an upgraded spacious room as we were with a child. Everything else was predictably normal as you can expect from Holiday Inn. The location is ok if you rent a car.

Breakfast had no healthy food options.

Big room and bathroom, very comfortable. Loved the view over the city and river. Breakfast was enjoyable. Staff friendly and accommodating.

The location is ok, but requires a short car-share ride to get to the fun places in Vila Nova de Gaia and Porto. Coffee machine at breakfast wasn't the best.

Spacious room. Staff was super friendly and thoughtful from checking to checkout.

Bathroom could use some small improvements/ maintenance. Shower head was leaking and flush system buttons were not functioning properly. Nevertheless, was a very positive one night stay.

Breakfast was nice and fresh. Big clean room. Downstairs restaurant/bar does great food and cocktails. Staffs are all very nice and friendly.

It is a little away from the main attractions. The metro is also about 12-15 mins walk away. It sounds nothing but adds up at the end of a tiring day filled with various activities!

Standard holiday inn, exactly what you would expect from a 4 star hotel. Large room, nice clean bathroom, comfy bed. Very friendly and helpful staff. Worth to mentiones that it is possible to leave your luggage after checkout free of charge

Breafast was pretty average at best. There was a cook preparing fresh omelettes, however that was the only positive. Cheese and ham selection was ok but quality was average. English breakfast choices were available (eggs, sausages, beans, mushrooms), however all bland. Sweet options were below average, especially comparing to some cafes in porto. Low point was the coffee - it was the worst coffee I've ever had in any hotel I've stayed in. Overall, it's best to grab some breakfast in nearby cafes, with great coffe and excellent pastries.

The room was a very good size - the breakfast was good too - not in the centre but in a fairly good area.

Unfortunately the sauna wasn't working and you have to pay for the full use of the steam room and Hydro pool.
