The grounds are stunning, and the location is excellent.

I got the impression that every hotel staff member I encountered was in the wrong field of work. No one seemed happy. Not once did anyone provide a good level of service. They weren't friendly or helpful. That included check in, when I was charged the whole stay when I had already paid and when the lock on the door didn't work. They also need to retrofit an elevator - carrying luggage down three flights of stairs was bad, but carrying it back up was awful.

Trying to get assistance via the app, and the in house phone. The General Manager Mark Shuba never responded to my various inquiries before arriving. Upon check in he still did not provide an answer or any feedback to my original inquiries. Pretty much just brushed it off. Very fishy. However, on the day of check out I requested a late check out due to the fact my daughter is a psychiatrist and she had zoom sessions with her patients. The gentleman I spoke with was kind enough and generous to offer us a late check out at 1 pm. Which is the reason for a higher rating regarding our stay.

The room was great: clean, spacious, with a comfortable bed. And with a forest of trees outside our windows, we heard a chorus of birds throughout our visit -- comforting, relaxing, not noisy at all.

We needed a Sherpa guide to find our room. The rooms are sprawled across many buildings, so helpful signage is essential, yet directional signs are few and far between. This didn't take away from the charm of the hotel; it became a challenge, a game, to find the indoor pool and fitness center, but really, the place needs LOTS better signage.

The estate is beautiful, well kept, gardens are beautiful and there are a lot of spaces to chill and hangout. Fairly Close to the train station and the hotel had several activities for guests. I was able to relax, enjoy the pool and nature

1. First accessing the room, i could tell it was lacking cleaning, there were pretzels all over the carpet. You would think housekeeping would vacuum between guests, at least. 2. For the value of the rates, breakfast should have been included. Specially giving there is no restaurant but Goosefeather.

The property is beautiful. However, no information about the mansion/hotel (history) is available, except for a couple of posters in the lobby area. The Valet should be about the guests that are staying at the hotel, other than the evening guests attending a venue and the resturant/bar.

There should be a cut-off at the bar/restaurant in the evening. The loud sound from the bar/resturant from 5 pm-1 am is tolerable, but the drunk guests leaving the establishment and staying in the hotel while running/screaming in the hallways is unacceptable! Calling the Guests services did nothing and seemed to make the noise worse.

Nice estate with some views over Hudson,.fire pits and sofas to relax on in the garden were lovely, well equipped gym and (small and a little cold!) indoor pool and sports courts to use. Great staff let us use the facilities all day after check out too Buffet breakfast was great! 10 min Uber from tarrytown

Rooms are okay, got a view onto a courtyard and didn't find the bed that comfy. Some snacks and drinks on site but could have more necessities considering distance from stores

Very interesting and historic property, and my room was very accessible for someone who needs a cane for mobility.

The handicapped accessible shower had a hand-held shower head that was placed so high up on the wall that it could not be reached, even by an extremely tall person. Totally inaccessible, and necessary for someone who needs to sit in a shower. I told this to the management, but I’m not sure it was noted. Hotels should consult with actual handicapped, or older, people when installing bathroom fixtures.

We loved the bungalow feel of being in a separate space from the main hotel, we stayed in the detached stone house with 3 rooms inside. Having an onsite restaurant and bar was great and enjoyed a meal and drinks one night and drinks the next night. The pool, work out area, sauna and indoor pool area were enjoyed by my friend and I. Since it was a rainy week we appreciated a warmer pool indoors. My friend enjoyed the peloton bikes and I appreciated that there were places to walk around.

Some of the facilities although clean and we enjoyed them, they were hard to find once entering the building where they were housed, disability access seemed limited as well. Again, although we enjoyed the pool, sauna, and work out area, some things seemed outdated and need a refresh. Only real issue we had was getting the room warm when we first arrived at the facility, but once we called the front desk to alert them of the issue it worked fine! Liked the room and it was cozy and clean, except for some makeup residue from the previous guest on the bathroom counter. Things we would have appreciated in the room was a microwave, a pen, and more hangers for the closet other wise we had everything we needed.

The staff were especially accommodating with our requests for adjoining/connecting rooms and all on the same floor as we were there with our kids and their young children. This really worked out well for our son's wedding next door at Goosefeather.

Slightly better car-to-room access for moving luggage in and out. We did solve this using the young gentleman who was the bell hop. If one needs an elevator, sometimes this is located in only one, more distant place in a building. All-in-all, and to be fair, this is a multi-building hotel across beautiful grounds so much of this is unavoidable.

The location was great and the room was comfortable, the outdoor pool was great and for breakfast we made coffee in our room and had free danish and muffins downstairs.

The rooms are very spread out on multiple levels which was confusing at first and you had to use many different sets of stairs to go from one location to another. Also the outdoor pools adult only policy wasn’t enforced and during the weekdays the pool was not attended so it was difficult to get towels.
